Caleb's POV

"Hello caleb." my dad said casually. he was on a sunny beach tanning not even bothering to take off his sunglasses to look at me. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Yes Father?" i asked him even though i knew he wanted to talk to me- that was the only reason i was having this dream.

"It's about the prophecy," he continued. "You Know, the One about the daughter of Hecate?"

"You Mean Sappho," i asked not liking where this was going. "But what does this have to do with me?"

"This has to do with you, Caleb; because you are going to be the father of that child in two years."

I felt like a thirty pound brick hit me in the stomach. having a kid? with sappho? at seventeen? we're only fourteen now- why would the gods do this to us? Were they just scared...?
"but why?" i asked him. "We are only friends and we ARE only fourteen."

Apollo chuckled. "Yeah... but people in Greece when us gods still lived there people were having kids at twelve and thirteen so why can't you guys have one when you're seventeen?"

I groaned. "Because dad, in Ancient Greece people had children younger because their lives were shorter by forty years- so That is why i don't want Sappho to have a kid at Seventeen!"

A crooked smile crept upon his face which gave his teeth an ominous glow. "See? you're aready getting feelings for her. And don't you kids worry about not liking the other 'cause Aphrodite made sure you both were made perfect for eachother so us gods don't have to go through yet another lame teenage sit com that looks like it should be on the Disney channel- take percy and annabeth: all of us knoow they're going to get together but they're too scared to do anything about it."

i rolled my eyes still not happy about this and said, "Okay dad, is that all?"

"Yup." he said and i was sucked off the beach into an uncomfortable wooden chair.

"Caleb?" i heard someone squeek. turning around i saw Sappho sitting on a bed wrapped in dark blankets looking like she just saw a ghost.

"What's the matter?" i asked her. getting up to sit next to her on the bed. "Is it about the prophecy?"

She nodded and pulled off the bed sheets revealing a black tank top and white shorts that contrasted her pale skin. "Why Caleb?" she asked in a hushed voice. "Why us?"
"I don't know." i said really unsure of how this was going to happen. Quietly Sappho scooted next to me and layed her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. It's ironic how she can be so worried one moment and be asleep the next.

"kali nýchta," she murmered telling me goodnight.

i sighed and layed her back down on the bed carefully, pulled the covers over her body and walked out of the Hecate cabin.

"Hey Caleb," Percy said runninng up to me with his sword in his hand.

"Hi," i said not really wanting to talk to Percy right now.

" So what were you doing in the Hecate cabin? " i looked away from him. "Really?" was all he asked when he put two and two together. "Okay, I know it's a lot to handle when you find out you're part a big prophecy, just talk to me about it when you're ready.'

Percy then just walked off which gave me more space to think......
