I don't know whats happening, I thought I helped, I thought they wanted me to do that. They said nothing would happen if I did! Whats happening now?! I try to fight two men off of me. I don't like them. They're scary.
"You're crazy!" He yells at me. I gasp.
"I'm not crazy!" I scream. I hate it when people call me that, I'm not what they think I am. The man shoves me into a van beside Aidan; My sister.
"What's happening Luna? I'm scared. I thought we helped. I thought we saved them." A tear runs down her face. I've hated to see my sister cry. I wipe the tear from off her face. She flips her jet black hair out of her eyes and looks at me. I look down at my shirt. It's covered in blood, as is Aidan's. The van comes to a halt, we look out of the window.
"Clear Waters Mental Institution?" Aidan reads in shock. "I'm not crazy! We're not crazy!" The man opens the door and motions for us to get out. I shake my head violently. I'm not leaving, I don't belong here. He shakes his head then grabs my arm, forcing me to get out of the van. I groan in frustration. I try to squirm out of his grip, but fail.
"We don't belong here!" I scream.
"Why would you be here if you don't belong here?" He mumbles. The man drops us off at a weird office-type thing. I look at Aidan, she grasps onto my hand in fear. Everything is a light color. I hate it. It's so distracting. The office door opens and a lady with a pastel blue dress grins at us. Why is she grinning at a time like this?! If anyone is crazy it's her!
"Ah, Aidan-Marie and Luna Owens. I'm Miss Gena. Lets get you two to your rooms." She leads us into the West Wing of the building. She takes one of her shiny plaques and sticks it on one door, she takes the other and sticks it on the other door. The first has my name, and the second says Aidan. Still firmly gripping Aidan's hand, we walk into my room. The walls are an off shade of green, there's a bed with plain white sheets in the left corner, and a dresser with a desk beside it in the right corner.
"This is your room Luna... Now, I'm going to leave you in here to pick out clothes, I'll be back shortly." She waits for us to unlink hands, but it doesn't happen.
"You've gotta let go, Aidan." Aidan shakes her head. Miss Gena gives her the look. Aidan slowly releases her grip on my hand. I watch as they walk put of my room, shutting the door behind them. I already hate it here. I open the dresser, and there are only white sweat pants, a few black baggy shirts, and white bras and underwear. I grab an outfit and sit on the bed. At least it's comfortable. After a few minutes the doors opens. Miss Gena motions for me to walk with her. We walk down the hall to what is clearly labeled 'Showers'. Aidan and I walk into separate shower quadrants. I strip my old clothing and place it on the bench next to my new ones. I turn on the shower and forget about everything. It seems like too soon when Miss Gena comes back to hurry us up, I break out of my omitting. I frown, and quickly dry off. I put on my new clothes as does Aidan. We follow Miss Gena to her office. I sit next to Aidan in front of Miss Gena's desk. She grabs two files and looks at me first.
"So, can you tell me how old you are?"
"Seventeen..."
"Who are the voices?" How the fuck does she know who they are? I cock my head. "Themselves." I answer.
"What do they do?" She asks. Why does she want to know?
"Why do you need to know?" I spit.
"Because I want to help you-"
"Help?! I don't need help!" I say scooting away from her desk. She exhales deeply, then says she'll finish some other time. She moves onto Aidan, asking her the same questions, except she actually answers them.
"Are they good?" Miss Gena asks.
"Depends... Sometimes they are sometimes they aren't." She nods her head, before asking a few more questions then dismissing us to the cafeteria. We get some sort of soup and bread, then sit at the end of a table, the other side being occupied by a guy with shoulder length raven hair, a guy with an Afro, a lanky guy with glasses and a beanie, a guy a bit taller than Aidan with tattoos, and two guys with nice hair. I look down at the food, it looks kind of good. I sip the soup, and it actually isn't that bad, it's pumpkin soup. I pick up the bread. "I wouldn't do that if I were-" it's too late, I bite into the gross ball of dough. "You..." I spit out the 'bread' and look down at the end of the table. They have all moved up a little, except the guy with raven hair. Once we're both done, we head back to our rooms, whenever we reach them, there's notes on them.
'Go to the session room.
- Miss Gena'
We walk back down the hall until we reach a room with the word 'session' printed on the door. We open the door revealing a group of six people and two extra chairs, including the guys we saw at dinner. We take as seat in the two empty chairs and listen. The lady is just going through asking people how their day was. She goes through and I quickly learn the names of people, Ray is the one with the Afro, Mikey is the lanky one with the beanie, and Ryan is the guy with the longer hair than the other guy.
"Brendon?" Which is him. "How was your day? Did you have any problems with the man?" Brendon shakes his head, I can tell he's been through some shit. That's why he's the way he is. She moves on to Aidan. All she says is that she doesn't want to be here. She moves to me. I just shake my head, refusing to speak. She moves to he guy with raven hair sitting beside me.
"Gerard?" Gerard just shakes his head, refusing to speak also. After that we all retreat to our rooms. I lay in my bed, staring at the ceiling. I don't want to be here. Not one bit.
