What Is This?!

32 Why?

I am sitting on a chair beside Haru in a hospital room. I watch him as he rests on the bed. I have my hand over his. I shiver from my damp clothes. The cover over me warmed me a little.

Haru shifts in the bed. A frown has been on his face most of the time.

I can't keep the look of his face out of my head. He looked so distraught.

It was my fault. If I hadn't went out with Makoto then Haru, then this wouldn't have happened. I shouldn't have gotten in between two friends like that.

Haru wakes up again. He asks, "What's wrong?"

"Hunh?"

"You're crying," Haru says.

What? I am crying. I can't tell. I wipe my eyes and face. I answer, "Nothing. Sorry."

Haru isn't hurt much. He has a bit of injuries from fighting Makoto. He is smaller than him, so he didn't have much of a chance.

He sits up from his bed. His face is back to his passive look, but I see his lips twitch a bit. He's not feeling good at all. I mean, his wrist is in a cast. His best friend just nearly drowned him because of me. He won't be able to swim in his condition.

"Haru," I say. "I'm sorry about what happened. If I wasn't with you, this wouldn't have happened."

Haru's face immediately changes. He looks a bit scared and sad, "It's not it!" He looks down. "Makoto has always been this way. It isn't your fault."

"But-."

"King," Haru interrupts making me go silent. "Makoto has always been the possessive type, especially over me. I thought that since you asked him out, it was his chance to widen out some. That's why I urged him to go out with you, but things got more worse than I expected. I'm sorry."

I stay silent.

Haru looks at me with a sorrowful look. He says, "King Water, I like you... a lot. I would hate for you to break up with me."

I nod. "Good... I would hate to do that as well."

Haru looks at his wrapped wrist and grimaces.

I call, "Sorry, Haru." I refer to his wrist.

"Yeah," Haru says. "Me too."

It is after school. During lunch, Levi had told her not to come to his classroom. She wonder what is Levi doing with Makoto.

She decides to leave right after school, but she only reaches the front hall.

"Hey! Hey! Aren't you Alexis' friend?"

"Hey, Nagisa, stop yelling!"

SiSi turns and sees two people she recognizes from the swimming team. Nagisa and Rei.

Nagisa asks, "Do you know what happened with Haru, Makoto, and Alexis?"

SiSi's hands clenches into fists. She says, "Makoto attacked Haru."

"What?" Rei says confused. "You must be mistakened. Makoto wouldn't have done anything so ugly."

Nagisa looks at Rei with a worried expression, "Rei..."

Rei looks back and frowns. He says, "Never mind what I said. Where are they?"

SiSi answers, "They are at the hospital still."

Nagisa asks worried, "Did Haru get hurt bad?"

She answers, "I don't know. Lexi haven't text me much."

Nagisa asks, "Want to visit them with Rei and I?"

"Wait!" Rei protests. "Who said I was coming!"

"Sure!" SiSi answers ignoring him. "I don't mind going with you two."

Rei yells, "I didn't say I was going!"

"Okay!" Nagisa says looping his arms with Rei and SiSI. "Let's go!" He pulls Rei as SiSi walks along with them.

"Hey!" Rei yells.

♡Tempest♡

She is watching the girl's basketball team play and practice. She is wondering how Hinata is holding up. She is truly worried about her little friend. She was also worried about Haruka and Alexis. She couldn't believe Makoto tried to drown him. That was just so crazy! In the midst of worrying, her mind wandered off of practice.

"Tempest!" Yachi calls to her.

She turns around seeing her. She asks, "What's wrong?"

Yachi simply says with a face filled with worry, "Hinata."

This immediately made Tempest sprint to her. Yachi guides out the gym seeing Hinata, Oikawa, and Kageyama. She muttered, "Oh no." She can clearly see Hinata clutching at his stomach as Oikawa gives him a conceded smile while holding Kageyama close to him.

"Hey, Hinata!" Tempest calls as she reaches them.

Hinata yells, "Why would I like you Kageyama! Don't be full of yourself!" He was denying that he liked Kageyama! This seemed to hurt Hinata more than it did him. "You're just a... friend." He gives a weak smile at him.

Kageyama seems to be truly worried about him.

Oikawa sees this and whispers something to him. He then says to Hinata, "It's nice to get that straught, Shoyo."

Hinata growls, "Don't call me by my first name, you jerk."

Everyone was taken aback from his response.

Hinata stutters turning away from the two, "I'm... I'm going home. I feel sick." He starts walking away to the dressing room.

"Hinata!" Kageyama calls.

He stops walking.

"Um..."Kageyama says. "Nothing."

He continues walking.

Tempest and Yachi jogs to catch up to him. They continue to walk until they rounded a corner. Almost immediately, Hinata falls to his knees crying. He cries, "Why does he do this to me?"

Tempest wraps her arm around his shoulder. She soothes, "Things will get better... I promise."

Hinata cries, "Why does it hurt so much?"

Yachi starts sniffing, herself. She goes and hugs him.

Haru and I are still in the hospital room. He is telling me about one of his matches and how "he only swims free".

Suddenly, SiSi, Nagisa, and Rei comes in to greet us.

Nagisa asks, "What happened to your hand?"

Rei scolds, "You know what, Nagisa! Don't ask obvious questions!"

SiSi says to me, "I was good today. I didn't kill anyone today."

I nod, "Good." Then I add, "But I wouldn't mind if you did this time."

SiSi agrees, "Yeah."

Rei asks, "I wonder why Makoto would go far as to do something so reckless and scary!" He seems so angry at the situation. Well, his friend is in the hospital because of another friend.

Haru sighs, "Okay. I will tell you what I told King."
