43 Eyebrows and Suspicion

"Here is the work you missed," Asahi said passing me papers.

"Thanks," I say taking them.

Haru sighs at me. What did I do?

It is after school. We are walking to our swimming club. Asahi caught us on the way and decided to walk to his volleyball club on the way.

Asahi starts nervously, "Is it true..."

"About what?" I ask.

Asahi takes a deep breath and ask, "Was it true that you were high, so they had to take you out of class?"

I burst out laughing at his question. I chuckle, "No! I just took too many cold medcines at once. Hahah!"

Haru shakes his head and says, "I learned from Makoto that you shouldn't do that. I at least thought that you would have enough sense to not do that."

I laugh nervously, but I feel a bit relieved that he said Makoto's name without breaking down like he did this weekend. I wonder what's the change.

The three of us walk outside through the back door. As we walk near the gym, Asahi splits from us. As walks away, he waves, "Bye!"

Haru and I waves back. We walk off to the pool. Hopefully, SiSi and Levi took my warning.

"Pleeeeease!" SiSi is standing up in front of Levi who is sitting at his desk.

"No," Levi says. "Alexis warned us. You know that Erwin is suspicious of us. You should go home for the day."

"Aw," she says disappointed. "Okay, I will make sure to spend time with you tomorrow."

Levi nods. He stands up and gives her a kiss on the cheek. "See you tomorrow."

SiSi nods saying, "Bye." She walks out of the classroom. She starts her way out the school. Before she makes it to the door while walking pass the Principal office, she hears, "SiSi." She turns seeing Mr. Smith in the doorway of the office.

He asks, "May I ask you some questions?"

SiSi says, "Sure."

Mr. Smith says, "Follow me to my office."

SiSi does what he told her. She sat on a chair in front of his desk, while he sat in front of his desk. She had a good look at his face... and eyebrows. Hm...

Mr. Smith sighs and says, "I've noticed that you and Mr. Ackerman have been spending time together often."

"Yeah, so?" She says. She is more focused on his eyebrows. What are those? Caterpillars? Will they one day sprout wings and fly away when he dies?

Mr. Smith asks, "What do you two usually do?"

"Uh," SiSi says thinking. "We study, talk and stuff." Can they detect lies and shoot lasers if I lie?

Mr. Smith asks, "Do you two ever do anything you are uncomfortable with?" He seems to give a understand yet wondering look.

"No!" SiSi scoffs. "Everything always been fine." Does his eyebrows have superpowers?

"SiSi," Mr. Smith says. "You know if you are ever in trouble, you can tell me."

She nods in response. "Of course."

Mr. Smith stands up and says, "Alright. You can go if you want."

SiSi stands up as well. "Okay. Bye, Mr. Mc- Smith!" She walks out of the office. So Aisara was right. She know she needs to be careful.

She walks out of the school just as she see someone familiar.

Oikawa. He is striding through parking lot. He is going towards the back where the gyms are.

"Hey!" SiSi calls. Anger fills her up from the sight of him.

He turns his attention to her. He says waving, "Oh, hey, Tobio's friend."

SiSi stomps up to him and grabs his collar. "You hurt Hinata again, and I will punch you."

In response, Oikawa gives her a condescending smirk. He says, "Chibi really isn't going to stop being jealous of me. I have the one he wants, and he will never get him. He will learn."

She growls, "He will learn? You tease and bully him too much!"

He scoffs, "What makes you think that?"

SiSi rolls her eyes and says, "He told us. You!... you... nitwit!"

"Nitwit?" He says with an eyebrow up.

"Shut up!" SiSi says. "Don't you dare do anything to Hinata again!" This time she actually punches him. She lets go of him.

Oikawa puta his hand to his face. He just glares at her. He scowls, "I'm going to go see my boyfriend. Thank you." He walks off to the gyms.

She scoffs and turns away. She still has a little steam in her.

♡Me♡

I am sitting beside the pool with a notebook and mechanical pencil in my lap. My mind is wandering as I listen to the swishing of the water. It is all so comforting.

I hear a loud splash. I turn seeing Haru popping out of the water. He shakes his head getting the water out of his eyes and hair. I greet, "Welcome to the land of the bipedal humans."

Haru scoffs in response. He asks, "How are you?"

I answer, "It's nice and calm." I stick my hand in the water and glides it through.

He says, "The water likes you, King Water." He grabs on the edge of the pool with one hand and puts his wet hand on the side of my face. He gives me a kiss.

After the kiss, he dips all the way back down in the pool to his mouth.

I blush in response.

"Go, Haru!" Nagisa cheers a few feet away.

Haru immediately starts swimming. I cover my face with my book. We are both blushing.

The practice continues on for anothet hour. I continue to chill while Haru comtinue to swim.

He gets out to pool and sits beside me. He asks, "Would you like Mackerel?"

I nod. "Sure."

He stands up and says, "Got it. Let me go dress." He goes to the back along with Nagisa and Rei. Ms. Amakata is gone. Gou leaves as well.

I sit here waiting.

Suddenly, my shoulder twitches.

I turn around to look at the fence, but I see no one. I stand up and quickly walk to the back taking my notebook and pencil with me. I stop beside the door and sit down.

After five minutes, Haru walks put. He says, "Let's go."

I hold on to his hand and nods.

I don't know what it is I felt, but I am feeling really uneasy.
