Reagan POV
Let's just say the next week wasn't a good one for me. I stayed at Trinity's house, and I hadn't seen Louis since. Harry had tried to call twice. Ignored. Zayn had called at least 8 times. Also ignored. Liam texted me to see how I was doing. Ignored. Niall...well, Niall was doing the ignoring for me. But, today Trinity was kicking me out, and I had to go and face Louis. I had decided not to move out. Because of my pride...and because of the fact that I had no place else to go. That horrible day a week ago still kept replaying in my mind.
I watched Louis as he sped off, not taking a second look at me. I was almost in convulsions because I was crying so hard. I don't understand. If he loved me like he said he did, why did he end it? Why couldn't he just give me some time? Why did he give up on us? On me? I had lost all track of time. I had no idea how long I had been standing out there in the rain. In the same spot that I had been when Louis walked away. In the same spot I had been when he left. I would have a dreadful cold the next morning, but what was that compared to the numbness that I felt right now? Not realizing it till he put a hand on my shoulder, the waiter had followed me outside.
"What?” I asked rather sharply.
"Whoa", he said, "You could be a little nicer."
"Not really. I'm not a nice person."
Or a good person. Or a lovable person.
"You should stop crying."
He looked quite uncomfortable, and I forced back a laugh.
"I can't", I responded, knowing that was the truth.
"Please? For me?"
I looked back at him to see that he was smiling at me.
"Look", I turned around to face him, "With all due respect, I'm flattered and everything, but I'm not interested."
A look of confusion ran across his face before he started laughing.
"With all due respect, I'm not hitting on you. Mascara-stained faced girls who sit in the rain crying because their boyfriend broke up with them aren't really my type. No offense."
Oh, yeah. Why would I possibly take offense at that?
"Then, why are you here?"
I was cold, I was sad, I was-.
"Your boyfriend, or ex, didn't read the bill correctly. He didn't leave the right amount, and my boss told me to come get the rest from you."
And, broke.
I was broke.
"Just go in", Trinity said.
We were outside of Louis's and my place in her car, and she was waiting for me to get out.
"I can't. What if he's in there?"
"There's a high chance of that happening, genius. He does live here."
"Aunt Reagan, why don't you want to go in?"
Julian was in the backseat looking from me to the door.
"Louis and I had a fight. I just don't really want to see him right now."
"But, Louis loves you. Don't be scared."
I smiled down at Julian, looking at how innocent he was. What I wouldn't give to be that age again.
"Okay, babe. I'll go in. You be good for your mum, and I'll see you soon, okay?"
