It had been almost a week since Ana had been sent away to jail. I felt really guilty. She had a point, I never cared about anyone but myself, I always had excuses. But I had to be that way, or else we wouldn't have been alive this long. The only thing is, I don't even know if Ana is still alive.
I decided to take a walk through the woods, just to think things over. There was a slight breeze and leaves were rustling. Birds chirped. I took a deep breath of the fresh summer air.
I saw Ana's blood in the leaves under a tree. I stopped and tried to hold it back, but it was impossible. I began sobbing for the first time in two years. I couldn't believe that Ana was gone. She was my best friend and I didn't help her.
I was a terrible person. What happened to the old me, with a smile on her face, bright eyes, rosy cheeks, and ribbons in her hair? Oh right, life. I want to be the cheerful person I was before, but I don't know if I can go back. I can't go back, I've been through too much.
I was on my way back home, when I thought I heard something behind me. I turned around and saw nothing. I kept walking. I tried to think positive, except I couldn't. I wish nothing happened to Ana, or Mom. And I wish I could go back to the night Dad left, to stop hi-
Large hands grabbed my shoulders. One punched me in the back and the other pushed me into the mud. I struggled as he pinned me down. I turned to look at him. He wore sunglasses and a black leather jacket. He looked like an FBI agent. Oh no, was I going to jail too? I started to scream when he covered my mouth, "Shhhhh! Be quiet! Someone is going to hear us!"
Oh great, I thought, I'm going to jail!
The man spoke into a walkie-talkie, "I found her! Bring the truck around!"
"Copy."
What did he mean he found me? When was I ever lost?
A black truck pulled up. The man carried me into it. "Stop it!" I screamed, "I'm being kidnapped!"
"Stop it Princess! This is for your own good!"
"Who are you calling princess?"
"You! You're Princess Lilian, right?"
"My name is LILY and I'm not a princess!"
"Be quiet, your father is waiting," he shoved me into the back of the truck.
I struggled and screamed. I kicked and yelled. I did all of this and more until I thought about it. Dad is alive and I am on my way to see him.
