Luke said that I couldn't tell anyone about our engagement. He said nobody would accept it. We are planning on getting married in two weeks, but privately. We will tell the public a week later and then plan a giant wedding for the public to make up for the private one. It was a good plan, but for some reason I felt guilty.

Still, I couldn't wait to marry Luke. He is so amazing and I just love him. I do truly want to spend the rest of my life with him, to have kids with him, and to grow old with him.

I sat on my sofa reading, "Cinderella". It was an interesting story, but way too cheesy. I know that it's a children's story, but I have never read it.

Then there was a soft knock on my door. I opened it up and standing in front of me was a lady in a business-style dress with a notebook clutched to her chest. "Good morning Your Highness! I am your secretary, Lady Jubilee. If you would let me come in, I have some important information to discuss with you."

"Sure, come on in."

We took a seat on the sofa and Lady Jubilee opened her notebook. "Your Highness, we still have to plan your coronation, but first there is something even more important."

"What?" I asked.

"Well, every queen needs a king you know."

"And?"

"And what I am trying to tell you, Darling, is that you have to marry a prince before your coronation!"

"What!" This couldn't be possible, I love Luke, I have to be with Luke.

"Yes, Dear, and we have an eligible Prince on his way. His name is Prince Bradley and he is from New Vermont. He is a very nice boy and I do not want you to screw things up like you usually do."

"But you don't even know me!"

"That doesn't mean I don't hear about you," And with that Lady Jubilee walked out the door.

"A prince?" Asked Luke as we sat on the edge of the tower, looking down into the garden.

"Yeah, and to be queen I have to marry him."

Luke began getting red in the face, "But you are going to marry me! You said yes! This isn't fair!"

"Luke-"

"This isn't fair! I love you, Lily!"

"I love you-"

"Why don't we just get married right now? In the garden!"

I gasped, "Now? Luke that's rushing it!"

He grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes, "Lily, we love each other. If we don't get married now, we will never be able to at all."

"Ok."

We ran downstairs to my room. I changed into a more formal dress and did my hair up. Luke took me to the garden and we stood in front of the fountain and held each other's hands.

"Lily," Luke said, "I loved you since the day I laid eyes on you. You are the most gorgeous, sweet, kind, stubborn, and confident person I know. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. And to rule the kingdom with you. You are the love of my life and today we start our lives together."

Tears formed in my eyes as I began, "Luke, you are-are-um-sweet and kind and the-um-love of my life? Oh crap, I can't do this yet."

"You know what?" Luke sighed. "Why don't we just sign the contract?"

He set the paper out on the bench and signed it. He gave the pen to me and my hand shook as I began to sign. Do I really want to marry Luke? I don't think I'm ready yet. But Luke is so-

"Your Highness?" Lady Jubilee walked out into the garden."

I dropped the pen and stood up, "Yes?"

"Your Highness, Prince Bradley has arrived."
