I sat in the small room, trying to calm down. What did he mean "You're just a kid"! I was sixteen, turning seventeen in a month! I'm not a kid!
Luke wasn't the only thing troubling me, I was also alone in the middle of a terrorist attack. Could I die? All I want is Luke protecting me right now. I want his arm around me, telling me it's okay. But was it really okay?
By the way, where is Ramona? I hope she's alright. Wait-she left right before the attack. It's like she knew that she had to go hide. WAIT-what if she is a terrorist! Was it possible? There were four knives- her lucky number, she was always mysteriously disappearing and reappearing, and she wasn't the nicest person.
Dominic ran into the room, slamming the door behind him. "Have you seen Ramona or Dad?" He asked.
"No, and I'm guessing you haven't?"
"No."
"Dominic, do you know anything about Ramona?"
He became flushed and stuttered, "Um, no, not at all. All I know is that she is our stepmom and she cares about us."
"Well," I said, "I've thought about it, and it seems like she could, maybe, be a terrorist."
"What? No! Ramona is NOT a terrorist!" Dominic objected.
"Wait, I thought that you knew nothing about her!"
"No I don't, but she just doesn't-"
"Are you hiding something?"
"No! I'm not hiding something, I'm just, just-ugh!" Dominic groaned and sat down with his head in his hands.
We sat for a while, saying nothing. I knew almost nothing about my brother, but I knew he was hiding something. Shockingly, I was also scared about Dad. Where was he and is he alright? I wonder if Ramona is trying to kill him, or if she's working with Ana. I had totally forgotten about Ana, and it made me sick to think about her. And Luke, I hated fighting with Luke.
I stood up and walked to the door. Dominic took his head out of his hands, "What are you doing? They haven't called it clear."
"Nothing," I opened the door and walked out. The hallway was, oddly enough, empty. Where were the guards? This didn't make me feel so safe, but I had to find Luke. I really needed to talk things over with him.
I walked down the damp hall. Lights flickered on the walls and barely lit everything up. I heard footsteps coming, it must be a guard. I ran towards the footsteps and saw a shadow. The shadow didn't look like a guard, it looked like a girl. I took a few steps backward. I hit something and turned around, it was only a wall.
I took a deep breath of relief and turned back around. I gasped. In front of me stood my little sister, Ana. She walked toward me with tears in her eyes, "Lily?"
"G-get away from me," I stuttered, remembering how she almost hurt me.
"No, Lily. I didn't mean to hurt you!" It was like she read my mind. "They made me!"
"Who?"
"The terrorists, and their leader, Ramona." I was right! Ramona is a terrorist- who was married to my father and maybe trying to kill him at this moment! I began running down the hall, I have to save Dad! "Where are you going?" Ana asked.
"To save my- our dad!"
"Wait! He has so many guards, he'll be fine!"
"No! I have to make sure he's alright!"
Ana spoke into a walkie-talkie, "Come and get 'er."
Many terrorists jumped in front of me. I skidded to a stop and turned around, my nightgown flying behind me. There were terrorists all around me and nowhere to go. Two terrorists grabbed my arms and I couldn't move. "Let's take her to the base," one said.
They began dragging me away, "Luke!" I shouted. "Luke! help!"

Luke opened the door of the room that was supposed to be staying in. He walked in and saw Dominic, "Where's Lily?"
"Beats me," said Dominic, "She ran off out in the hall."
"What? She wasn't in the halls, I just walked through them," Luke was beginning to get worried.
Luke ran out into the hall and looked around. He listened for footsteps but only heard screams, "Luke! Luke! Help!"
Luke ran to the noise and saw a group of terrorists running with a girl. "Lily! Lily!" He ran after them, but was too late, they were gone.
"Damn it!" Luke yelled as he ran out of the emergency escape onto the driveway. He tried to follow, but after a while he couldn't keep up. Luke stopped and took a deep breath, he left her and she was now kidnapped, this was all his fault. He had to find her.
