Ramona and Dominic moved out of the castle two days later. I still couldn't believe that they were together this whole time. It did make sense though.
I just wish that I didn't have to be queen, I've only been here for two months! I don't want this responsibility, at least not yet. How can everyone expect me to know what to do? I don't have Dad, Ramona, or Dominic to teach me.
I walked down a hallway in the castle. Workers were repairing windows and the ceiling. Even though the attack was 2 weeks ago, things were still being repaired.
Luke came around the corner and ran towards me, "There you are! I've been looking for you everywhere! Why aren't you in your suite? It's three in the morning?"
"I just had to take a walk and think, alone. Where were you if you weren't guarding my door?"
"I was getting a bit of sleep," Luke embarrassedly mumbled. "Soldiers need sleep too."
"Oh," I laughed, I never thought about guards sleeping.
"Can I walk with you?" Asked Luke.
"Sure."
We walked together through the dimly lit hallways holding hands. His hands were tough and firm, almost protective, but they felt right.
"Lily?" He asked.
"What?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date tonight, at a special place?"
"Oh," Luke and I never really had a date before, unless you count the garden, which ended badly, "Luke, of course I do! What time?"
"Six."
"Great!" I kissed him on the cheek.
Luke rubbed his cheek and opened my door, "Good night, Lily."
I let go of his hand and walked through the door, "Good night, Luke."

I looked all over my closet for the right outfit to wear. It was only four in the afternoon, but I needed the extra time. A burgundy sundress caught my eye and I pulled it out. There was golden lace on the back and bottom.
I slipped into it and searched through my makeup drawer. There was tan powder, a black pencil, sparkly powders, and other strange things. I found a bottle of sparkly pink goop and saw the word "lipstick" on it. I decided I should put it on my lips.
I curled my hair with a curling iron. It hit my forehead and it turned red. "Ow!" I put my hair over the burn.
I slipped on my gold flats and a gold necklace and walked out the door to find Luke waiting for me. "Hey, Luke."
"Hey, you're a bit early."
"So are you," I laughed as he took my hand.
We ran through the halls and up some stairs. The stairs began curling up a tower until we reached the top. You could see the whole castle grounds from up there. "Oh, Luke, it's so beautiful!" I walked to the edge and looked around.
"Lily, turn around," he said.
I turned around and saw a picnic spread across the floor. "Oh, it's so lovely!" I ran into Luke's arms and hugged him. He kissed the top of my hand and we sat down.
I immediately start to eat a sandwich while Luke pours us each a glass of sparkling water. I took a sip and it fizzed in my mouth.
We finished eating by sunset. The sky was a vibrant pink and the air was thick. Luke and I stood by the edge of the tower and looked around. "Lily, I've only known you for a short period of time, but I quickly fell in love with you."
"Luke, what are you doing?"
Luke got down on one knee and opened a small box. Inside of it was a wooden ring with engravings on it and a small green jewel on top. "Lily, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"
I fell before Luke and embraced him, "Yes, Luke, of course I will marry you!"
"I love you, Lily."
"I love you, too!"
