I followed Lady Jubilee through the castle up to the front door. She looked at me and adjusted a few stray hairs, fixed my makeup, and placed a small tiara on my head.
I was a bit glad she had called me when she did. I wasn't ready to get married yet.
"Prince Bradley is a very important man, you best not screw this up," said Lady Jubilee.
"Okay."
The doors opened and a young man walked through them. He had a beautiful tan face and crystal clear blue eyes. His blonde hair shimmered in the sunlight. He had a muscular body. It was Prince Bradley.
"Hello, Your Highness," he said as he bowed towards me.
I curtsied, "Uh-Hello to you, too, Your Highness."
He laughed and showed a gorgeous white smile. Okay, so, sure he was pretty, but he probably wasn't going to be friendly.
Prince Bradley followed some guards up to his room. Lady Jubilee turned to me with a smirk, "So what do you think of your future husband?"
"Future husband?"
"Of course, he is basically the only prince in the new states that is your age and not first in line for their throne."
"Oh, I guess he's alright."
"Ok then. I best be on my way, there is much to be done," she winked and walked away.
I stood alone in the hallway. If I couldn't marry Luke yet, but didn't want to end up marrying the prince, what was I supposed to do?

I sat on the swing on my balcony. I looked at the garden and the pond. They were so beautiful. I want to sit here forever and have no worries.
The sun was starting to set and I shut my eyes. The warmth tickled my skin. I was peaceful, at least until I felt added weight on the other side of the swing.
My eyes immediately opened and I saw Prince Bradley sitting next to me. "Ahhhh!"
"Shhhh, calm down," he said as he gently touched my shoulder, it sent tingles down my spine. "Do you know how long it took me to distract that stubborn guard of yours?"
I laughed, "That's Luke. So what are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to get to know you, especially since we are supposed to be married by September 30."
"September 30!" I yelled.
"Shhhhh!" Laughed the prince.
"Prince Bradley, do you really want to marry me?"
"Please, call me Bradley."
"Only if you call me Lily."
"It's a deal," he smiled. "And to answer your question, I wasn't sure about it at first, but now that I have met you, it feels right."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. So I heard that you grew up in the sixth caste?"
"Yep," I told him all of the events of my family up until now, except for Dominic and Ramona's affair.
"Oh my God," he said, "So your sister killed your dad and then your brother gave you the kingdom due to personal reasons?"
"Yeah, and I've only been royal for two months."
"Wow. Well when we get married I can help you rule. I have been royal for my whole life."
"Really?"
"Yeah. It wasn't the most fun thing, though. I had the responsibilities of a royal, but I knew that I was never going to rule New Vermont. My brother, James, is becoming king next week, we're twins."
"You have a twin?"
"I do, but sadly I'm the younger one," he said. I frowned, did he not want to be here? "But at least I get to marry you."
I laughed, "I'm glad-" I covered my mouth, what did I just say?
"Lily, I was wondering if you wanted to go to my James's coronation with me?"
"Of course."
We stopped talking for a minute and then he kissed me. Bradley walked out of the balcony and I touched my lips. Did he just kiss me? And did I like it?
I slumped back into the swing while my guard stared at me through a window.
