CHAPTER ELEVEN: THE ICE PACK

"Connor!" I scream before throwing myself between the two boys that were fighting over who should be allowed to touch me. I know odd right since one was my jackass neighbour that I hated with all passion and the other was my best friend who was supposedly in love with Aubrey.

By putting myself between the two guys, I was preventing Connor to throw another punch and was stopping Aaron from hitting him back; which would result in a big fight and I didn't want that.

"What the hell?" I scream at Connor with pure rage.

I knew he wanted to protect me and all, but beating up the guy I was dancing with when he didn't know the circumstances was very low.

Connor lowers his red fist, and the rage from his face fades into confusion when he looks at me. "I wasn't just going to let him do whatever he wanted with you", he says.

By this time we had pretty much attracted the attention of everyone on the dance floor. I was just hoping that Aubrey was standing far enough from us and couldn't hear who it was.

"Do you really think I would've let him do that?" I ask him lifting an eyebrow. After all, I had learned from my experiences. I wasn't going to let that boy behind me get whatever he wanted from me. I had a strong character, just in case you guys hadn't noticed yet, and I thought Connor knew that better than anyone else.

"I'm better than that Connor, and I thought you didn't think so low of me", I say the rage I was feeling gone and now replaced with disappointment towards the boy that had been like my right hand since I had arrived in New York thirteen years ago.

After that being said, I turn around to look at Aaron. He was looking at us with his eyebrows furrowed and was holding his cheek with his right hand. I was surprised to see though that he didn't have any sign of pain in his face. He didn't look like someone that had just been hit by one of the strongest guys in school.

Oh right, Aaron wouldn't want to put his reputation on the line by showing a little amount of pain; which would just be human after all.

Feeling bad for what my best friend had just done to him; I grab Aaron by the arm and pull him with me away from the gathering of people that was now surrounding us in a circle. Once we were out of the room and into the hall of rooms, Aaron tries to wiggle his way out of my grasp but I don't loosen my grip on his arm.

"Let go of me", he says his voice showing a little bit of irritation but not as much as I had expected.

"No", I say stubbornly.

I was not going to let this boy hurt (which he was trying to show that he wasn't) for what Connor had did out of rage and betrayal.

I guess I should've expected that from Connor though since he felt so responsible for me and Brady; he just didn't want it to happen again and I guess sometimes he could over react a little.

He lets out a frustrated groan. "Where are taking me?"

I let out a sigh. Did he have to know everything? "Oh you know, just taking you some place private so that I can rape and murder you", I say casually.

He lets out a huff of laughter. "You can't rape the willing princess".

I roll my eyes but don't reply, since that wasn't really worth my saliva.
