Its so exciting, no? We have nothing planned like we talked about, but playing video games.
I didnt have much else in mind, I wasn't sure what you did at sleepovers. But because when we first met we talked about consoles, might as well.
I went through my daily classes, saw Staz during brunch, lunch and then we met in the parking lot after school.

"You all set?"

"Ready if you are."

"Alright, hop in"

"Wait, what?"

"Into my car."

"You drive?!"

"Ha, yeah. I'm 16. I mean, I'm not legally allowed to drive without someone over 25 when driving other passengers. But its fine."

"So you only have your permit?!"

"Only till May. Chill."

"I am chill..."

"Then hop in."

I was actually really nervous to drive with him. He's not fully licensed, we could die. Oh God...
After five minutes of just the radio blaring One Dance. And I don't usually listen to music, especially this genre. But I like this song. And Staz really likes it too. He said that it puts him into a better mood. And he dances a lot to the playlist. Which isn't that safe, but it was great.
Another five minutes, we reached his house. It was a two story, and it looked either really friendly, or like a rich white persons house. That made me laugh.

"What're you laughing about?"

"Oh, nothing important."

"If its not important, then tell me."

"Yikes.. I'm laughing at your house. Its cute."

"If I had the choice of what figurines were out on our lawn, I'd choose none. And have none."

That made me laugh too.
We went inside the house, it was really nice. There were a lot of family pictures. And a dog! The dog came running down the stairs to greet Staz and I. Staz petted the dog and went to the kitchen, the dog came towards me and I got on one knee and began to pet it. It sniffed me all over, it made me laugh a bit. It tickled.

"Whose a good dog? Heh"

I love dogs.

"Don't mind her. She loves people. A bit too much, in fact. Come into the kitchen."

I got up and headed towards the kitchen,

"You hungry, thristy?"

"I'm good, thank you."

Staz had made a small snack and then we went up to his room. His room was nice. But his room made me uncomfortable. It had a couple posters of women in swimsuits, posing sexually. It was weird to me. He also had a lot of metals and trophies for soccer, swim and volleyball. He had pictures of his recent teams, family photos, some books, artwork and then a small shelf for his video games.

"You sure have a lot of stuff."

"Yeah, sometimes I wish I didnt. But I like my things."

"Why so many sports?"

"I just find them fun. They hurt, but I like them. And it looks good on a college application..."

He thought that was funny.

"I don't do sports."

"Then what do you do?"

"Nothing. Just here to pass."

"You also make more friends doing school activities."

"I don't want friends."

"That's okay. You can still join."

"I guess."

Staz discussed more about all the sports he'd played and for how many years. He's played baseball since he was 8, swim since 10, and he started volleyball freshman year. He says he loves playing volleyball. What I like about the outcome is how muscular he is... He showed me scars from accidents of playing these sports, but he seemed happy about the scars. He loved them, in fact.

"Enough about all that. Gets boring after a bit."

"It makes you smile. And I like your smile."

Oh fuck.

"Really? Thanks, man. How bout we dive into some games?"

"Yes, let's do that."

I really said that I liked his smile. I bet he knows I like him now.
I like him...
No good. This isn't good. I like anyone who gives me attention. Unless its my mother. Then no. But Staz is amazing. How could someone not like him? It makes me feel so good to admit to myself that I like him.

It won't be good if my mother finds out though. I pretty much just lied to her about liking him.

"Earth to Kenra! Where'd you go?"

"Sorry, I zoned out."

"Heh, I know. So, Black ops 2, Mario Kart, NBA?"

"I can go for some Mario Kart. I'll have to admit, I'm pretty bomb at the game."

"Oh yeah? Are you now."

"For sure! I've been playing since forever."

"I'd like to put that to the test."

"Let's do it."

"You're on, Artfolli."
