Suppose to Keep a Secret

Part 11

It was hard to sleep through out the night. I kept waking up, turning over and falling back asleep. You would think that it would be the floor. Ha, you thought? I'm sleeping on two fluffy blankets. It really wasn't that bad. I just kept tossing and turning. I couldn't fall back asleep. So I sat up and grabbed my phone to check the time.

3:42am

I sighed and heard Staz move. I froze and waited for him to stop moving so I could breathe. It was close, I don't want to wake him up.

"You can't sleep either?"

"What? Oh... Yeah, no."

"Come up here."

"Uh..."

"Kenra-"

I got up and felt around for his bed and sat on it as he sat up.
Staz kissed me for a short second,

"I, I really like you."

"I thought you were going to say something else."

"Like what?"

"Nothing."

"Do you think were gonna work out?"

"Well, in what way? Like we'll never get caught? Or if we will work out?"

"Both."

"I think we'll get caught one day, but I do think we'll work out just fine."

Staz let out a small sigh and grabbed my hand pulling me down, laying on top of him. We laid in silence for a bit until I was uncomfortable because of our sizing... I'm 5'6 and he's 5'0...

"Hey Staz..."

"Hm?"

"Do you think we can switch positions? I'm kinda bigger than you..."

He groaned and we switch positions. He laid on my chest and I gently wrapped my arms around him.

"I can hear your heart beat."

"If you couldn't, that'd mean I'm dead."

"Don't say that. I just like the sound of it. You're really calm."

I caressed my hand up and down Staz's back,

"Go to sleep, Staz."

We laid in silence again.

"Kenra, I love you."

My eyes opened wide, and they closed again,

"I love you too, Staz."
