Your POV:

Travis and I stepped into Lucinda's house, our fingers entwined. Surprisingly, the party wasn't as big as I expected. I knew everyone there, there was barely any alcohol in sight, and the music was quiet enough so that you could have a conversation with someone.

"Hey, guys!! Welcome to the party!! I just ask that you guys don't go in the basement. All my potions and stuff are down there. Besides that, I don't have much to say. So, have fun!!!!" Lucinda exclaimed. She was wearing a black long sleeved skater skirt dress, with black pumps.

"We won't go in the basement. Thanks, Lucinda!!" I said. Travis said something similar before we walked off into the living room. All of my friends were there, dancing the night away. I smiled with glee, glad that I decided to come.

"Heyyyyyyyyy, dawgs! I'm glad that you could make it to the partaayyy!!" Zane said, obviously drunk. The smell of alcohol was all over him.

"What the h**l happened to this one? I didn't even expect Zane to be here!" I said to Aphmau.

"He had his first drink in his whole life. He really can't handle alcohol. One drink and he's drunk," Aphmau said, chuckling. "I dragged him along here."

I burst into laughter. "Brilliant. You should keep an eye on him," I said.

After mingling with many other people, me and Travis headed for the refreshments table to get some punch.

"This isn't all that bad. This is way different from the movies," I said, giggling.

"Yeah..." Travis said. He seemed a bit distracted. His eyes were scanning the room, as if he were looking for someone. Suddenly, Travis' attention was back on me. "Sorry. I'm just looking for someone."

"Who?" I asked. "Maybe I can help."

"Katelyn," Travis said.

My eyes darted from person to person, but I could not spot the blue haired, sassy, easily angered, and tough beauty. She must've stayed home. I hadn't seen her all night.

Katelyn and I had grown close since we've met. Just a few days ago, I hung out with her, Fawn, and Adrienette. We all had a blast. I was going to try to set up something with her this week, but she was busy the whole week.

"Hmm... She probably decided to stay home. After all, Katelyn doesn't like a lot of loud sounds, or too many people in one place," I explained.

A puzzled look formed on Travis' face. His eyebrows furrowed, and he bit his bottom lip nervously. "No. She told me that she would be here."

"Huh. Okay. Well, she'll probably turn up later," I said. I was quite curious as to why Travis needed Katelyn so urgently, but I decided not to ask.

"You're right. She most likely will," Travis said. He paused as a slower song came on, looking at his feet. "Y/N, may I have this dance?" He asked with a smile on his face. His smile lit up my whole world.
