I stood there still confused and completely shocked at what I had just seen happen in my very own kitchen.

“Amber, what are you doing home so early, I thought you were going to be back at 3?” He said casually like his tongue wasn’t just down his ex wife’s throat.

“No you don’t get to ask the questions, I think its fair for me to ask why you were kissing someone, oh I don’t know, other then mom!”

“Ok I know it looks bad but I really can explain myself, Amy came over to talk but we got too…”

“Yea, yea you got to into talking, brought up old memories, shared a laugh, then some saliva!” I said cutting him off.

“I cant believe you would do that to us, not just me but Tessa, James, Mom, but I really cant believe you did that to sage, who has been through this with his own father then gets it by his step dad too” I was so mad, I didn’t want to talk to anyone, I start to leave the kitchen when Kaylee pulled me back.

“Wait, what are you doing?”

“You know what, I’m sorry but I have been through hell ever since 5th grade ok that’s 5 years, then all of the sudden you show up with your precious little family and screw everything up, so I don’t care what you say because I know deep down inside you have always wanted to take our dad away from my mom, and you know what you got exactly that, you can have him” I turned to where my dad and Amy were standing.

“I hope you got what you wanted, and if what you waned was my moms heart to be broken then that’s what you got, so screw you, screw you, and especially screw you” I said pointing directly at my dad.

“And don’t even think to come after me, because you must be damn crazy if you think I won’t tell mom about this” before anyone could say anything I stormed up to my room and slammed the door locking it. I lied on my bed and started at the ceiling, wondering why my dad would kiss Amy, even after 6 years of no contact at all, what was wrong with my mom? Or worse, what was wrong with me? Was it because of my behavior lately, was it because I was scene, maybe that’s why he has been acting so weird around me because he wasn’t comfortable with me being scene, I decided to start a new story and I was determined to finish it, I jumped from my bed and lifted my laptop onto my lap flipping it open I opened Microsoft works word processor and started with an idea different ideas floated in my head, a vampire story, one about evil bunnies until I got the perfect idea

I sat here and wrote a 10 page poem, i had to let my feelings out.

I heard a knock on my door.

“Who is it?” I asked almost jumping out of my seat.

“Its mom” my mom said, what? I looked over at the clock and realized I had been working on just a few paragraphs for 3 hours, I got up and unlocked the door, she smiled and walked into the room, I gently shut the door and just stood there staring at her awkwardly.

“Do I tell her? Do I want to tell her, I should tell her she deserves to know, just tell her Amber tell her”

I fought with myself debating on whether or not I should tell her, I decided to do what’s best.

“Mom can you sit down please” I asked she sat down on my bed and I sat down next to her and braced my self for her reaction.

“Mom I need to tell you something, this is really important, so please don’t flip out at me or anyone at all ok?” I stalled I still wasn’t sure if I should tell her.

“What’s this about Amber?” my mom asked the worry twinkled in her brown eyes.

“I came home this afternoon with Kaylee and we, sort of, kind of, saw dad kissing Amy” I saw her expression drop, she tried to hold back her tears, she jumped from the bed and stormed out of my room, down the stairs and into the living room where I’m guessing my dad was sitting, I sighed, Great job Amber look what you did. I heard my parents screaming at each other, I couldn’t understand what they were saying, all of the sudden I heard the door slam that made the whole house shook, this was the end of our family and again it’s all my fault, just like everything.
