Chapter 6 - All goes to Hell

i heard chocking i opened my eyes Damon keeled over gasping.

"what is it? what's wrong?" Stefan asked as Damon sat down

"Vervain" he chocked Stefan smelt a cup. mom pulled away, i looked at her confused

"I'm sorry sweetie but i have to go" i stood up straight.

"why? what's wrong?" i asked she just shook her head and pulled away

"i just have to sort some things out. I'll see you at home" she kissed my temple and walked away. i decided to follow her she was on her phone talking to Justin.

"just meet me down the hill by the entrance... yes and bring them. yeah" she hug up me and Caroline stopped her.

"what's wrong?" she asked

"nothing just err"

"work?" i offered he mood change seemed fishy that and Damon drinking vervain. what was she up to

"I'm surprised you lasted longer than five minutes" Caroline crossed her arms

"its important" she said

"it always is"

"I'm sorry" she walked away.

"Caroline this has something to do with Damon and Stefan. Damon was doused with vervain" i told her Elena came up

"what's going on." she asked i cut in before Caroline.

"something's wrong and i have a bad feeling it has to do with Damon and Stefan come on." we climbed to the top of a mound. i began to concentrate. lawn mowers, hammers banging nails children birds all played then clear as day gunshots 3 of them and groaning. i gasped

"what is it" both of us had turned round

"Stefan and Damon" we replied and ran off Elena close behind. we ran through the wood and i came to a stop

"what is it" Elena asked as i inhaled

"they've been here" i stated Caroline couched down to some leaves which had blood on them there was a crunch and i swung round

"what are you three doing here" Mason asked

"or Damon" i added

"yeah I've seen them" he replied walking closer

"were are they" she asked

"you don't need me for the I'll let your friends sniff them out. does your mother know what you two are. I'd be happy to tell her" we made to move but he swung  Elana around holding her hostage

"don't be stupid necks snap easy around here." he said

"we can take you" i smirked as  i walked around him showing no fear.

"wanna bet" he asked

"yeah we do" i grabbed him and threw him  against a tree and pinning him to it.

"told ya" i kneed I'm and he fell to the floor Caroline kicked him in the stomach then again into another tree.

"come on" Caroline left and so did Elena i went up to him and lifted him by the head

"stupid little puppy. mess with us again and your finished" i knocked him out before running following the trail. Caroline was looking lost.

"what is it where is Elena." i asked

"its mom she's going to kill them. we can't go down there she'll find out about us."

"Caroline they're our friend. mentors we can't leave them" she had a internal battle before agreeing. we sped down there closing the gate behind us.

"who else is with you." Mom asked i pointed to one deputy for her and the other for me we raced around taking each one and biting into their necks they shot at each other and fell to the floor both of us had our moths covered in blood. we came out of the light and face our mom. i calmed down going back to normal

"hey mom" we spoke her face was complete shock Elena went to Stefan while i went to Damon.

"hey dude wake up" i shook him. he groaned

"Bethany?" he asked

"oh i just can't leave you alone for five minutes can i?" i chided dragging him over to a deputy.

"drink you he tastes nice." Damon bit and began to drank as Stefan woke up.

"come on you need to drink some Deputy blood" Damon told his brother as i sat next to my sister.

"no I'll be fine I'll just take longer." he replied

"Damon's right if there was a time to break your diet now would be the time" Care added

"he said he doesn't want any" Elena snapped what was her problem. Damon stumbled up.

"this is a most unfortunate situation. two deputy's dead and you" he turned to mom

"what am i going to do with you?" he wondered

"you won't tell anyone will you" i asked she looked at us then away

"mom...mom. please know that we don't get along and you hate me but we're your daughters and you'd do this for us right?" Caroline asked her she just looked down

"mom please he will kill you." Caroline added mom got teary

"then kill me" i stood up

"no" i protested

"i can't take this kill me now." she begged he leaned down towards her.

"but you were going to drag it out... so painfully" he grabbed her lifting her up

"no" i grabbed him as the others protested

"relax guys no one is killing anybody" Damon replied he turned back to her.

"you're my friend" he looked at us

"we gotta clean this up" he told us we agreed the others began to clean up while i kept a eye on mom. Damon came back in

"thank you" i said

"well she's my friend" he replied

"i know but you could have killed her yet you didn't i wanted to thank you anyway." i looked at mom

"she means so much to me" i added i held out my hand and she looked weary of it, i nodded and she took it we lead her out of the cells and took her back to the boarding house.

she was on the phone to the station.

"yeah a stomach bug...it came on pretty fast i might be out tomorrow" Damon tutted

"or longer I'll text you.. okay goodnight" she corrected and ended the call and handed the phone back to Damon.

"its not how i planned on you finding out" i said to her she just sat down.

"were you planning on keeping it a secret forever." she replied as she sat down.

"i.."i was cut off

"just stay away from me please and keep Caroline away as well." she said to Damon

"they're your daughter Liz" he replied

"not anymore they're not they've changed" i started to cry

"you don't know how wrong you are" Damon said he came over and hugged me and lead me out closing the door.

"i... i have to go. I'm sorry" i ran off. i don't know where i was going just let myself run. when i stopped i was outside Jeremy's house. it was like a waterfall down my face i knocked on the door sniffling. Jeremy opened up

"Bethany... what's wrong"  i hugged him and he hugged back.

"she hates me Jer...my mom hates me" i sobbed he shushed me and closed the door leading me upstairs.

"tell me what happened." he said so i did everything since i left him he sat there and listened then comforted me
