Chapter 7 - Mother Daughters time

"so if you ever decide to up out of this dry little town which at some point you will... i would suggest you pick the most expensive foreclosure in town and stay there unless you plan on staying longer but as time goes on you' gain money blah, bah.  blah" Damon said while he read call of the wind i was reading a magazine. he was 'teaching' me survival skills of a vampire for the future. that was when the doorbell rang i didn't make a move to get it so Damon did.

"I need to talk to you" it was Jeremy. what was he doing here i listened further

"And why do I need to talk to you?" Damon tried to close the door again

"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet." Jeremy replied.

"Wow, fascinating. Not enough." Damon tried to shut the door but Jeremy pushed back.

"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's he's here." Jeremy persisted.

"A moonstone." Damon mused.

"And I know where it is." Jeremy replied

"You're bringing me this why?" Damon scoffed.

"Do I need a reason?...Look, I just want to help, ok?"

"does Elena or Bethany know you're doing this" he questioned i got up heading to the door

"well i do now" i said making myself known Jeremy looked a little shocked although i guess he suspected i did tell him Damon was giving me Vampire pointers.

"Elena doesn't want me involved...look are you going to help me or not" he raised his eyebrows

Damon sighed and nodded opening the door wider.

"why are you here Jer why do this?" i asked

"you're not going to lecture me are you? tell me what to do?" he grumbles

"Jeremy, I'm the cool girl in your life. all i want is for you not to get hurt putting yourself i risk" i told him grabbing his hands

"your talking to someone who is in love and involved with a vampire." he smirked i shook my head and kissed him. Caroline arrived

"hey you coming down to see mom?" she asked i thought about it.

"come on Beth she needs us look she'll be ready to compel then things will be all alright" she told me i nodded and went down to the cellar. mom was laying on her bed just staring at the ceiling

"You didn't eat much." Caroline noticed.

"Good news: Dr. Damon said the Vervain is almost out of your system. So with any luck, you'll be freshly compelled and back in your own bed by tonight." i told her but she remained silent

. "Are you really just gonna pretend like we don't exist?"

"Yes." she replied shortly. "So please go." then added

"As usual, you don't care. Got it. Just like before we were  vampires. It's not like we died or anything." Caroline shook her head leaving the cell.

"Are you are you really dead?" mom voice cracked.

"Yes and no." we stopped in our tracks and turned around.

"How is it possible?" she whispered. me and Caroline look at each other and not we pulled up two chairs.

"we well i don't know about Caroline but i drink from blood bags" i started

"i do too. it's not as good as the fresh stuff but it beats the Animal stuff Stefan has." Caroline added

"so you steal the blood bags from the hospital" she clarified

"me and Damon do once a month" i replied

"I've been dipping into Damon's supply" Caroline said, mom nodded

"so as long as you keep yourself supplied you don't have to kill?" she questioned

"we want too, it's our basic nature..." Caroline trailed off

"but with a healthy diet it's easier to control"

"yeah Bethany is a natural she never seems effected i on the other hand am getting better at it. better that Stefan" Caroline cracked a smile

"yeah him and human blood don't mix he is what you might call a bloodaholic when the human stuff is in him" i added

"i don't want this for either of you" she said we nodded

"yeah but when life gives you lemons" we replied and smiled at each other. i heard the door open.

"Damon's home" Caroline said Mom looked at us kinda baffled

"and Bonnie" i seethed i still couldn't bear to look at her.

"I'm going to go speak to her." Caroline told us and left.

"why do you hate Bonnie, you used to be friends with her?" mom asked after a moments silence

"i blame her. she's the reason I'm...well a vampire." i replied looking down at the floor

"how is she?" i sighed

"you remember when i was little and i came home one day talking about the ripple effect." i asked she nodded and i continued.

"she was the start of it. i had know about vampire for a while, that on the other hand is a different story. the Gilbert device that would paralyze a vampire i knew about it and well Jeremy was taken they wanted the invention in exchange for Jeremy. the bright idea was to protect Stefan and Damon kill the tomb vampire another way by de spelling it with the help of Bonnie  she is a witch.

i thought she had and well she didn't that was the start of the ripple effect. on Founders day when it went off not only did it effect the vampire but Richard and Tyler Lockwood, he was having some sort of migraine and i tried to help we crashed and both me and Care were in hospital. you know us almost dying part. Damon saved us and while the blood was still in our system we was killed.

mom even though the tomb vampire were killed so were me and Caroline. if Bonnie did as she was asked the device wouldn't have been set off Tyler would have been fine so would me and Care, which means Damon wouldn't have given us his blood and the vampire wench couldn't have killed us. the ripple effect one bad choice led to us dying i can't forgive her for that." i was crying half way though. that was when mom did the unexpected. she hugged me

"i never wanted to be one mom. but i am and as long as she is around i will never forgive her" i sobbed as she held me tight. i heard screaming and yelling from upstairs

"i wish you wouldn't have to forget." i stood up. from where i was wiping away my tears

"i have to go something tells me I'm needed upstairs. i love you mom" i said before i left. locking the door behind me.

"time to take a walk Jeremy" Damon said.

"no I'm staying, Damon i think he's had enough" he replied i walked in Mason Lockwood

"just help Tyler i don't want this to happen to him" Mason pleaded  Damon went at Jer and i ran to stop him.

"you won't hurt him Damon." i told him then turned to Jeremy.

"go back home and wait for me there" he nodded and left with me walking him to the door.

"i love you Jeremy" i told him

"yeah you too" he left not saying or do anything else. i went back to Damon and Mason but this time Damon has Mason's heart.

"help me with this would ya." i nodded and started wrapping him up in the cloth that was when Caroline came up with our mom i rushed to her side.

"you compelled her, didn't you." i stated she looked down mom was just starring into space

"so anything she has learnt or been told she's forgotten" including why i hate Bonnie i help my mom out to the car and got in. we drove back to the house and let her fell to sleep in her bed when she woke up it was back to hiding what i truly am.
