Chapter 21 - Klaus

"Beth. Beth wake up." i groaned and opened my eyes Ava had wide eyes.

" what is it" i mumbled

"Klaus is here" i shot up

"what?"

"he's here. Luce is sorting him out and the boys are asleep" i nodded

"okay. pass me pen and paper." she got some and i wrote on the pad before waking Elijah.  he eyes opened and i put one finger to my lips before pointing to the paper

'you need to go Klaus is here.' he nodded and got dressed i slipped on my chemise and gown then slippers making my way to the stairs calming down.

"Klaus finally decided to ditch the suit, so glad. although ringing ahead helps" i leaned against the banister.

"now where would be the fun in that catching you off guard is more fun." i laughed and shook my head would you like something to drink while you wait I'm sure the girls would love to offer a vain providing you don't kill them."

"do you have any bourbon"

"sure we do Luce. please make yourself at home. " i smiled hoping my eyes didn't betray me i left back to the bedroom where Elijah had already left and i showered and changed into a red play suit and nude boots  i tied up my hair and did my make up before heading downstairs where Klaus was drinking from Luce he pulled away and wiped his mouth Luce left to clean herself up.

"so what would you like to know. seen as being Alaric gave you pretty much all you need." he sat back.

"I'm not here for business Bethany. i want to get to know you." i raised my eyebrows

"really. why" i asked

"do i need a reason. come on love tell me about you." i sighed so i did leaving out any intimate subject and secrets i only shared with Elijah like what would have happened if i was not a vampire. he just sat and listened i saw him clench his fist a few times when i got to the bits about the whole betrayal of things and my point of view.

"you have had quite a interesting life love."

"that i have sometimes its good sometimes i wish i was human again. but i make do with what i have." i shrugged

"well as you know tonight is a full moon and i have to sort some things out." he stood up and left i brought out my phone.

'he's gone'  i sent the message and breathed a sigh of relief i looked to the others. Elijah came back and i hugged him.

"the ritual happens tonight doesn't it?" he nodded that was when Elijah got a text he read it then looked at me.

"Klaus took Caroline for the sacrifice but Damon rescued her and Tyler."

"what he promised he gave me his word she was going to be left alone. that's it even if she was saved by Damon that bastard dies tonight." i was about to leave. when Elijah stopped me.

"no Beth you can't leave the house. look i will make sure i kill him but it's a full moon you leave and get bitten by a werewolf. please stay. i will be back for you just stay in the house." he looked panicked i never seen him like that.

"what if i stay at the boarding house." he thought about it.

"very well." i gave a weak smile.

"okay everyone pack up we're moving out." the others nodded and left.

"i have to leave its nearly time tell me when you reach the Salvatore's. out of everything i need to know your safe, i can't lose you again." he whispered. he kissed me before he left i ran upstairs and started packing. i was using vampire speed and took my bags and suitcases to the car.

"are you okay." Ava asked

"ask me when this is all over."  i ran back in and did a sweep over the house before joining everyone in the car. i got out my phone and dialled Caroline.

"hello?"

"Caroline it's me Beth are you okay? please tell me your okay." i blurted out.

"I'm fine, I'm at the Lockwood with Matt and Tyler."

"what Caroline Tyler is a were wolf it's a full moon are you crazy." i yell

"its okay he transformed back." i sighed

"okay right. well I'm going back to the Salvatore boarding house Elena invited me in and well its safe there Elijah wants me to stay safe."

"okay good. well i have to go stay safe."

"you too"
