Chapter 16 - Falling into Place

. When Jeremy got home he was met by a not so happy Jenna.

"hey Jenna what's up." he asked taking some OJ out of the fridge.

"i had a interesting visitor today he told me something's." Jeremy sat down still going over the how Bethany finding out and disappearing.

"really."

"yeah a friend of Bethany dropped a box off for you and told me what you cheated on her...with Bonnie." his face dropped.

"I'm so disappointed in you Jer why would you do that and in her house of all places." Jenna shook her head but got no reply from her nephew.

"look i have to go get ready for this dinner party but this conversation is not over. Meanwhile Bethany had finished her star bucks with her new friends and while they left back for the house she went to see Jonas and Luka wanting to cause some more trouble.

*Beth*

i knocked on the door of the warlocks who were helping Elijah and waited it was Jonas.

"you must be Bethany the one Elijah talks so much about." he answered

"yes i am she. i have some information for you." he looked weary but stood aside.

"come in" i stepped over the threshold and smiled looking back to the eldest warlock it was then i noticed Luka.

"you must be Luka how's your head. sore" i asked

"what do you know" he asked i sighed and took a seat.

"yesterday you blacked out that was no accident. Bonnie used a spell to hypnotize you for information relating to Elijah. i don't know what you said or how much but at some point the Salvatore's are going to kill him as in use a dagger and white oak ash." i told them just then the door slammed open revealing a not very happy Elijah

"what happened?" Jonas asked

"i need you to find Elena." i rushed to his side.

"they tried to dagger you didn't they." he nodded.

"by the lake there is a house here I'll bring it on your phone" he nodded while Jonas left.

"I'm coming with you." he shook his head

"no i don't want them to try and harm you."

"but they can't you said so yourself the pendant will protect me." i pressed

"no Beth. go home i will sort this out. whatever happens always be one step ahead of them."  he ran one hand down my hair while he pressed his lips to mine.

"i have to go" he whispered when i opened my eyes he was no longer there Luka had fallen asleep on the couch. when Jonas came back.

"what did you do?" i asked

"i took away her powers." i smirked

"very good Jonas. i need something of you it's not that huge but i presume you will agree. i will be creating havoc amongst the pigeons i need you to keep a eye on Elijah."

"i will. can i know something." i gestured for him to continue.

" do you love Elijah." i sighed and stood up.

"its getting there, you have to understand most of my life I've been in love with my best friend now that's changed Elijah was there I'm not saying no but I'm not saying yes either." i left. while the night was still young i decided to put my chips in place first stop was the Lockwood's.

"hello Mrs Lockwood may i come in.?" i asked when she opened the door.

"of course how may i help you dear." i knew that Elijah had disposed of that vervain bracelet. and she was no longer ingesting it so i got straight to the point.

"well i need you services. you're on the founders council even though you're no longer running it you know what goes on. so i need you to tell me everything that's going on. you will ring the number under the name Vee and tell me what's been happening once i hang up and you've deleted the call you will forget that ever happening. do you understand." i compelled

"i understand." i smiled and entered the number into the phone.

"when you get back to whatever you were doing you won't remember seeing me tonight." with that i left. i then headed to the Gilbert house and waited i saw Bonnie left teary and smiled i then waited till everyone was asleep i snuck into Jeremy's room oh reap what just sold. i removed the vervain bracelet dropping it to the floor.

"Jeremy. oh jer come on wake up." i shook him his eyes fluttered open and tried to pull away.

"Bethany" he breathed, i smirked.

"you will not move" i compel he stops.

"what are you doing her how can i not move." he whispers

"i took of your bracelet. anyway that not the point you are going to do a job for me." i smiled

"i won't do anything for you."

"you don't have a choice... you are going to be my little spy anything happens with Bonnie or anyone else in your little gang you tell me. my number will be under Vee after you hand up you will forget that you even spoke to me you will also delete the call from your logs. do you understand."

"i understand" i grin.

"now go to sleep when you wake you won't remember me being here" he fell asleep and i put back on his bracelet before going to find Alaric he was the last piece i wanted my covers cornered when i found him i gave him the same instructions as the others before going to see Katharine she was dressing decent clothes.

"hey Kat" i smirked leaning against a tree.

"Beth and what have you been up to." she walked over to me.

"oh this and that caused some trouble i think I'm going to have a lot of fun. i hope you stick up to your end of the deal i have some people who would be happy to help take you down."

"don't worry the fact your playing a game is to my liking you remind me of me."

"in some case that would be bad but seen as I'm in the gaming mood I'll accept that as a complement. you remember what you need to do." she nodded

"great i now have information from every prospective. enjoy" i ran off back to the house
