Jimin felt horrible the past days. He hated the fact he could never change the feelings of his best friend who he loved dearly. On top of that, her nearing death kept playing through his mind. What would he do once she would be gone? The little friendship between Taehyung and him would shatter completely, though it already felt like they turned like strangers.

He wiped the sweat off of his forehead from the intense dancing. It always made him return to peace, in contrast to his fast-thumping heart.

He finally knew what he had to do.

"Taehyung", Jimin called as he grabbed for his elbow. The lost friend looked behind him to stare into Jimin's eyes, surprised to see him again after such a long period. "Can I talk to you a bit?"

Taehyung avoided his eyes for a second to look back at them again. Then he nodded slightly, wishing for Jimin to let go of his hurting arm.

Jimin glanced at the girl who was standing behind Taehyung. "Alone?" he added to imply a private talk.

The girl understood what he meant and left at her own energy. Jimin sighed out of relief that Taehyung's girlfriend wasn't a difficult one.

"I know you're together now with Gaeul, but please be honest with me and tell me", Jimin started once she was out of reach and hearing distance. "Are there still feelings for _______, even the slightest?"

"F-Feelings?" Taehyung stuttered, taken aback by Jimin's sudden approach. "She's your girlfriend, right?"

"My girl or not, do you love her?" Jimin heightened his voice to press the answer out of Taehyung. He didn't deny the fact her being his girlfriend, just because he somewhere wanted to claim her as his own to satisfy his own desires. He allowed himself to feel happy for a short amount of time, even if he had to dream that reality.

"Of course not!" Taehyung answered, feeling cornered.

"Well she likes you. Actually, she loves you", Jimin confessed. At this, Taehyung's butterflies, which he tried to control, release in a huge amount. A little smile shivered on his lips, trying his best to hide the happiness that was flowing through him. Jimin noticed everything. Knowing each other since they were practically born, made him understand and feel the others completely.

"How can she say that? Hyung, you should leave her when she's saying such things about someone else", Taehyung mentioned. Though he was satisfied she felt the same way for him, he couldn't help but feel bad about Jimin who was being played around with. Taehyung didn't want to seem like the bad friend.

"You're saying that so you can claim her for yourself?" Jimin tested.

"Of course not! I don't even know anymore what to think about her. Is she trying to drive us apart?" Taehyung asked, knowing that that wasn't really the case but he needed to show Jimin that he still cared for him, even though the love of his life was so near now. Somehow though, he felt like she was still miles away.

"Is she?" Jimin repeated, trying to solve Taehyung's answer to this question. Jimin himself didn't really know how their friendship turned so empty. Is there only one thing to blame? Or is there even something to blame at all?

"I never thought she was so filthy as to cheat on her boyfriend", Taehyung said out of nowhere. He didn't really know why he said this, because it were not his really feelings that spoke. He felt the horrible aftertaste of these words sizzling on his tongue. Jimin instantly turned angry and balled his fists, almost about to punch him in the face.

"How can you call her filthy?" Jimin yelled.

"Isn't it like that? She is together with you, but at the same time she is loving me. She's the one who ruined us", Taehyung said, knowing he was just doing the same, using Gaeul to forget about his love for another girl.

Jimin lanced his fist into the air, about to meet Taehyung's cheek. He stopped himself on time though, feeling no power to hit his best friend. Especially because he knew Taehyung's real feelings. Why is he acting like this?, Jimin thought, Just tell me you love her. Don't lie to me so easily.

"Punch me!" Taehyung ordered. "Punch me, please!"

A frown crossed Jimin's forehead. As he looked at the face of Taehyung, eyes squeezed shut to await the punch, he felt his anger slowly withering.

"Why?" Jimin asked.

"I'm sorry", Taehyung suddenly apologised, feeling the guilt weigh on him. The guilt of talking bad about the one he deeply loved. The guilt of her falling in love with him instead of Jimin. The guilt of their friendship.

"Sorry for what?" Jimin asked, crunching his fist together as to let Taehyung know he could punch him anytime, though Jimin promised himself he wouldn't.

Taehyung shut his eyes tighter, if that was even possible anymore. He was scared to tell Jimin, he was scared that the truth would tear them apart even more... and for good.

"She's despicable", Taehyung finally answered, cringing at what he said.

Jimin sighed frustratedly at this, dropping his fist against his side. "If you want to know. There was never something between the two of us. She loved you too much to even notice me", he confessed. "If that moved your heart, then I think you should take a different path with a different person. Gaeul isn't worth to be with a halfhearted person such as you."

Taehyung felt the warmth of Jimin's anger fading as he walked away from him, leaving the conversation behind. Then Jimin suddenly turned around, forgetting about some things.

"If you want to know where she is, she's in the hospital right now. For what reason, is not my job to tell you. I'd be quick if I were you. Or else she slips right out of your fingers", he added and then walked away a second time.

Taehyung looked at the floor, thinking about the things Jimin just told him.

"I love her", Taehyung whispered at the ground. Then he suddenly looked up in determination to stare at the moving back of his leaving friend. "I love _______!"

Jimin stopped his tracks, making Taehyung think Jimin would say something, but as Jimin continued his course away from Taehyung, his hope shattered.

"I'm really sorry!" Taehyung shouts, wishing Jimin would forgive him. Taehyung didn't want to lose him just because of his own uncontrollable feelings. When Jimin appeared out of sight, Taehyung's head fell to the ground.

Around the corner, Jimin halted and placed his hand against the wall to keep his balance.

"Don't be sorry, you idiot", he smiled, unable for Taehyung to have heard.

A tear trickled down his cheek.
