So , It's been a while since I last talked to Dean. After the awkward incident between us, he kind of keeps his distance. Charlie and Sam still talk to me, I've even gone a few hunting trips with them. They're really nice and are really good at their job, but Dean still goes off and does his own thing. I think I kind of freaked him out, but it doesn't matter , at least I don't get that feeling anymore. But today, Sam is making Dean come with us because he is afraid Dean might get hurt doing all this hunting by himself. Sam noticed mine and Deans awkwardness towards eachother right off the bat and told me. Sam told me he's never seen Dean act this way before, and that usually new people don't affect him that much. I hope he doesn't hate me. I should ask Charlie things I can do to make myself seem more normal. "Am I strange?" I ask out loud.
"Yes." Sam and Charlie say in unison.
I huff,"Well how can I not be?!"I want to be normal, normal enough for Dean to like me.
"Sweetie. It's fine that you're strange. You don't need to change." Charlie smiles as she sits next to me in the library.
"But I do need to change. I want to be normal just like you guys. I don't want to be the white elephant in the room everywhere we go." I say and put my head down on the table.
I've been here for about five months now, on earth. And I still am changing and building emotions and I want to be just like everybody else. I am so awkward and I don't know what to do most of the time. So I usually just sit in the library or go off somewhere by myself.
I am brought out of my thoughts when I hear footsteps entering the room. It's Dean, he looked really tired and stressed. Probably from all the hunting he has been doing lately. But he freezes once he looks at me,"Why is he here? Shouldn't you go and flap your little white wings somewhere else?" He said as he grabbed his jacket and walked to the front door.
"Dean! What the hell, who pissed in your cheerios this morning?" Sam exclaimed and scoffed.
"I'm sorry Castiel. I don't know what's going on with him. I'll put him in check though." Charlie says as she pats me on the back and heads after Dean.
"That's why I need help. He will never except me if I am always so weird and-" I try to explain until Sam interrupts  me.
"Castiel. Don't do anything for anybody other than yourself. I think you're pretty awesome, Charlie does too. Dean, he'll warm up soon." Sam says and gives me a sympathetic smile.
I smile back and say,"Where are we headed? I'll see you guys there."
"Oh no Castiel. Your driving in the car with us this time." Sam grins and pulls me out to the car.
Damn it, I was gonna do some drawing while I waited for them to arrive, but when I saw their car, I wasn't so sad anymore. Luckily I brought my sketch book with me. "What kind of car is this?" I ask.
" Its a 1967 Chevy Impala. Why?" Dean blurts out before Sam could say anything.
"I just thought it was a beautiful nice car." I said and looked down at the ground.
"Well give me the keys Dean. I'm driving today." Sam smirked and snatched the keys from Dean.
"And I call shotgun!" Charlie yelled and ran to the passengers side.
"SON OF A BITCH! You guys really don't expect me to sit in the back do you?"Dean yelled, appalled.
"Just sit in the back."Charlie said and we all get in.
Me and Dean jumped in and they all put their seat belts on.

The drive was very awkward. Sam and Charlie chatted but Dean didn't speak a word to me. I felt that feeling again every time I looked at him, so I decided to draw. Pulling out my sketchbook from my trench coat, I began to draw. At first I just drew a few random lines, but then I knew what I was about to draw. The Impala. So within a few minutes of drawing, erasing and shading, there it was. "Whatcha doin back there Castiel?" Sam asked, trying to start some type of conversation with me.
"Drawing." I said simply, very focused on the license plate.
"What are you drawing?" Charlie asked and when I was finally done I gave it to her.
"Holy crackers! This is amazing. Look Sam!" Charlie said and showed it to Sam.
"Wow. That is great."Sam smiled.
Charlie gave it back and I sat there for a while, smiling. They liked it. Would Dean like it? I don't think he has seen it yet. So I tear out the picture and hand it to him,"You can have it if you want." I say and blush when he takes it and his eyes go wide.
"Holy crap. This is good. Thank you Castiel." He says and smiles at me as he folds the drawing carefully and puts it in his wallet.
Yay!! I made him smile. Maybe that's what I will do, draw things for him. Small gifts that don't take much effort or space. Smart idea. For the rest of the day, we hunted out a vampire. Sam and Dean finally "ganked it" (as Dean would say) and burned it.
