Falling Apart

For the past couple of weeks, Cas hasn't been good. He is really distant and he doesn't even sleep in the same room as me anymore. He will lay down with me but end up missing in the morning. I think he has been really stressing out lately. He is super jumpy and won't talk to me. I am really scared one day he is going to just run and I won't see him for a while. So, today I woke up alone once again and I went to the bathroom. After washing my hands and brushing my teeth, I head out to the kitchen. Cas was curled up in a ball on the couch holding a cup of coffee, and Sam was in the kitchen cooking some new recipe he must have found. Sam is such a mom, always cooking new things and he is even starting a garden. "Hey Sammy. What you cookin?" I ask walking in the kitchen.

"I don't really know.....but I guess it is supposed to be like really good...I think."Sam said looking at the recipe he printed off.

"Ok. I'll be your guinea pig as long as I am not keeling over by lunch." I say and we both laugh.

I grab a plate and head off into the little lounge area we kind of created, Cas was still in the same place but now laying down. I set down my plate on the coffee table and sit down, lifting his head onto my lap. He doesn't say anything so I continue. I begin to run my fingers through his hair and move the tuffs of hair away from his face when they fall. Everything was going fine, until he bolts up. I look into his eyes and he looks slightly panicked. "Did you fall asleep" I ask and he nods.

I shake my head,"Cas, this is not good. Talk to me please, I can't handle you in this much distress and pain." I say and reach out to him, but he pulls away.

"I can't talk about this right now." Cas says and shakes his head getting up.

He throws the blanket aside and goes to our room. I am not going to follow him, because I know that will only make things worse. Shortly later, he comes out in new clothes and shoes,"I am going out." He says and my heart stops.

"No...I mean, why?" I said and maybe stood up a bit too quickly, cause Cas flinched back.

He just shook his head and turned.I watched his walk up the stairs and go out the door. I stand there shocked, did that really just happen? I fall back onto the couch and just stare at the door. Hoping he will just walk back in and everything will just go back to normal. He has only walked out once before, and I didn't see him for months. So, he didn't come back. He didn't come back that day or the next.

~*~A couple days later~*~

I was reading a new book in the library when I heard the bunker door open. My heart skips a beat hoping it was Cas, but when I see a black suit enter the room, my hopes crash down once more. "Hello boys. Samantha. Squirrel." Crowely greets us and bows slightly.

"What do you want Crowely?" Sam grunts and rolls his eyes.

"Oh Samantha, why so prude today?" Crowely snickers and takes a seat at the end of the table.

"For one, my name is not Samantha, as you already know. And two, why are you hear?" Sam snaps and closes his book, slamming it onto the table

"Well then Sam. I am hear because I have heard around that you two haven't been out in a while. No hunts, mix ups, nothing. So, I came over to see if you chaps where still alive or not. And lucky me, you are still here, breathing here." Crowely said a bit too happily.

"Crowely? Why are you here" I ask a bit weirded out by his behavior.

"Oh yes. I need you two to do me a favor." Crowely smiles and both Sam and I sigh annoyed.

"What now?" Sam huffs and heads over to the book shelf to put his book back.

"Oh, just a few of my little elves have run off, gone rouge. I need you two to get rid of them before anything too bad happens." Crowely shrugs and Sam and I look at eachother.

"How may is a few?" I ask and Crowely just sighs.

"Only......like 20. I told you, there are only a few out there." Crowely said and stood up, smoothing down his suit.

"Where do you think you are going?" Sam says and Crowely turns to him.

"What do you mean Moose?" Crowely smiles and Sam scoffs and turns away.

"Aren't you gonna tell us where they are?" I ask and he only laughs.

"Jeez Dean. Whats gotten into you?" Crowely mocked and I could feel my face reddening.

"Crowely. Watch it. You came here for our help. Don't be an ass." Sam warned and Crowely waved him off.

"I was just asking. I'll be on my way then." Crowely sighed and walked out of the room.

We waited until the front door closed and we where sure he was out until we spoke. "What the hell was that all about?" I say and stand up, looking over to Sam.

"I don't know man, but I don't think i liked it. He seems too happy for it just to be a hunt." Sam says skeptically and I nod along with him.

"Well? Do you wanna go along with it or just avoid him all together?" I ask him and he shrugs.

"Why not go with it. We don't have any other leads to a hunt. Might be worth." Sam shrugs and we go and grab our laptops.

Sam recently got me my own laptop cause he was tired of me taking it all the time and not giving it back. I disagree, I didn't take it all the time, just sometimes. So here we are back at the research. Hope we can get this over with before Cas comes back.......if he comes back.
