Chapter 6

--Jades POV--


I sat down at the end of my bed. My head in my hands. It is 5 in the morning. Tomorrow is graduation and the day I leave with Dampyr. Maybe forever. I've been up all night, not being able to sleep. I have to get up for school in an hour.


I can't believe we've lost. We can't defeat Dampyr. He's to fast and strong for any of us. I'm gonna be leaving tomorrow with someone I don't know. Someone who is gonna turn me into a killer. All the same thoughts kept going through my head.


When I looked at the clock again it was 5:50. I decided to hop into the shower for 10 minutes. I grabbed a towel from the cabinet and went into the bathroom. I set the water and hopped in.


I washed my body and hair the same way I always do. When I hopped out of the shower it was 6:15. I put on dark skinny jeans, a blue Hollister shirt, and my vans. I grabbed my bag from the side of my bed and went downstairs.


I walked into the kitchen to see Jared and Ricky having a conversation. I walked over to the cupboard and pulled out a bowl. I grabbed Fruity Pebbles and the milk.


I poured the cereal and milk in. I set my bowl on the counter. I went and got a spoon from the dishwasher and sat down at the counter.


I tried focusing on what Ricky and Jared were talking about but my thoughts got into the way. So I dropped it and ate my cereal.


It was 6:30 when I put my bowl into the sink and headed for the door. When I got outside, Wes wasn't waiting by the Mustang.


'Wes you coming to school?' I mind linked him. 'Ya later.' He answered back. I pulled out my spare key and got into the car. I started the car and backed out of the driveway.


When I pulled up to the parking lot, Kian was leaning against the bike rack looking at something on his phone. I got out of the car and went by his side.


"Hey." I said. He put his phone away and looked at me. "Hey. You ready for graduation." The thought of what is gonna happen after graduation makes my stomach drop. I put on a fake smile. "Yup."


All my morning classes went by faster than I expected. It was now lunch. I went to my usual table. Darcy and Sam were already there and talking about graduation. I didn't bother joining the conversation. I just looked down at me hands in my lap.


I felt someone sit next to me. I looked up to see Wes staring back at me. I smiled and looked back down to my lap.


"You can still change your mind." He whispered in my ear. I looked back up at him. Worry in his eyes. "I know." I whispered.


He smiled then left. I watched as he walked out of the school. When he was walking out he wiped his eye, like he was wiping away a tear.


I took a deep breath and put my head in my hands. I can't do this. It's all to much. I don't think I can handle this. I got up and walked out.


I was now in the parking lot, going to my Mustang. When I got there Wes was in the passenger side. I got into the drivers seat. We just sat there, nobody saying a word.


"I don't want you to go." Wes says breaking the silence. His voice weak, he really must of been crying. I look up at him, his gaze on his hands in his lap.


After a minute he looked up to meet my gaze. "Don't go." He said his voice cracking. I closed my eyes. "I have to." I said not opening my eyes. I opened the door and got out of the car. Tears brimming in my eyes.


I was walking toward the woods when someones hand snakes around my waist and spun me around. "Jade what's wrong?" Kian asked.


I now feel the tears sliding down my cheeks. "Nothing, I just can't believe I'm going to be graduating in four hours." I lie.


"Jade don't lie to me." He said gripping my waist tighter. I was about to say something when the bell rang. "It's time for class." I said and got out of his grip.


Thank god the bell rang. If I would of told him, he would be going after Dampyr right now or he would put me on lock down.


I sat in fifth hour not paying attention to anything the teacher is saying. I kept tapping my finger on my desk. All my attention on the clock.


"Jade." I looked over to see Sam trying to get my attention. "Ya." I said. "What's up with you lately?" He asked. "Just nervous about graduation." I said. He nods and looks back up to the front of the class.


Sixth and seventh hour are a blur. I didn't pay attention. To many thoughts going through my mind. I was at my locker, packing all my stuff. This is my last day at this school and this town.


I'm leaving in two hours. Leaving all my friends and family. I won't see Kelli, Darcy, mom, dad, Sam, Harry, Wes, my pack, and Kian. Today is the day to say goodbye. Possibly forever.

SORRY THEY HAVE BEEN SHORT BUT IM GONNA MAKE THEM LONGER. THE NEXT CHAPTER IS GOING TO BE SAD AND HEARTBREAKING.
