"Alexa, don't be so shocked that I found you." Dante Donati smiles like the wicked snake he is. I snarl, baring my fangs. "Dominic." He lazily moves his hand in my direction and I recognize the large blue-eyed and black furred wolf.
I roll with the impact and Dom snaps at my face. I kick out and get him in the stomach. He howls in pain and I knock him to the ground. My face inches closer and I open my jaws. A body knocks me off and I hit the back of my head on a rock protruding out of the snow. My vision goes black and I slacken.
"Wake up, baby. Please." A familiar voice pleads and I open my eyes. I'm back at the hill and I see Kyle. "Kyle." I smile and I wrap my arms around him. He hugs me back and I feel hot tears run down my face. "Don't cry, baby girl. I'll always be there." He says, wiping off my tears. "I need you back with me, Kyle. It's been so hard without you." I cry and he holds me. "I know, love, I know. But you're Alexa Sinclair. You've got this." He smiles and he starts fading. "I love you. I always will." I whisper before he fades completely.
I wake in my bed and Johnny's head snaps up when I sit up. He barks lowly and I hear footsteps coming close. Bren comes in and I instantly tense to run. "Alexa, I just came to talk." He says and I fold my knees up to my chest. "I'm sorry about what happened. I just couldn't help myself. I've had feelings for you since forever, I just never came to admit it to you or myself." He says and I blink. "That's why I took that kiss." He continues and I look down at my feet. "Bren, I've always seen you as my brother. And I always will, I am so sorry Bren." I say and he nods his head. "Need a friend?" He asks softly and I nod. He sits beside me and I lean my head on his shoulder. "Thank you for always being here for me, Bren." I say and his arm wraps around me in a hug. "I always will. I'm your best friend. And I'm not going anywhere." He says and I press a kiss to his cheek. "Thank you Lex." He smiles.
We decide to go for a run. "Let's take the pack." I suggest and he nods. He goes to get them and I wait outside for them. And they come in about ten minutes. "Come on!" I scream excitedly and shift. Kane shakes his head, laughing, and shifts. He butts his head against mine and I playfully pull his ear. I walk slowly to Briar and nuzzle over the cheek I bit her on. She returns the nuzzle and bows. She yips and I take off running. The full moon shines down on us and I howl in joy. I finally felt like I was welcomed in my pack.
Our small pack yelps our elation, panting our laughter as we slice between trees and leap dark obstacles with ease. We push each other playfully and I accidentally push Dec into the pond. He falls in with a yelp and I hide behind Kane. Dec gets out and shakes his fur out and I see he's drying quick.
I heard the Donati's here for you only. Liam says.
Yeah. But I'm not giving in to him.
Don't. He doesn't deserve to have you.
He doesn't deserve anything. He tried to send me a threat. He's not getting me.
He better not.
I take off and Elle stays at my side. Kaye stays at my right and we jump off the cliff. We land in the thick snow below and they shift back. They shiver and I shake my fur.
You scary cats.
Oh hush, Lex. Kaye laughs.
Yeah, Lex. Hush. Elle laughs along with Kaye. I trot off and stop, seeing the Hayden Border. Three black wolves watch us and I back up. One steps into the light and his claws glisten with the moonlight. I back up slower and his fangs shine.
Run! Find the boys!
I scream and they run up the ledge of the cliff side.
Poor poor Alpha. What are you gonna do alone?
The wolf sneers and I bark a warning.
Back off. This is BloodiedPeak territory.
I know. Just watch your border, Sinclair. It says and continues closer.
Malachi came to us days ago, saying the Alpha Female of the BloodiedPack is a whore. Now look who we found, boys.
He's a goddamn liar! I wouldn't touch him that way. I don't even want to be in his presence.
Now that's a shame, Alexa. I realize that wolf had gray streaks in its fur and icy blue eyes.
Kai.
Finally.
I bare my fangs in a warning matter and I hear a roar. I look behind me and see a large golden cat with a thick mane.
Jaxon Lannister. I never thought saying that name would be in relief. I think to myself. I was terrified of him, now that I know the truth of Elijah Castamere's sudden death. How could a son murder his own father? His blood? Jaxon trots to my side and glares at the wolves. Kai backs up and Jaxon bares his fangs. I shudder, seeing their large size. They were frightening. Jaxon takes a step forward and Kai turns tail and runs. The other one runs but one smaller one.
Raiden?
Hey Lex.
I walk towards him and he mimics me. We stand directly on our borders and touch the side of our muzzles. I back and he dips his head. He runs off and I watch his silver tail slip into the shadows. Sharp teeth bite into my scruff and I'm lifted an inch from the ground. I let out what sounded like a scream of pain. A low growl rumbles and I know who it is.
Jaxon let me down!
Sorry Sinclair. You know too much.
He slams my head down on the ground and I feel a wetness on the side of my head. My eye flicks to the side and I see blood streaming onto the snow. The snow steams from the heat and my eyes blur. I see the Golden Lannister go down under nine wolves and I start closing my eyes. I see Scott and Dylan approaching me and Dylan lifts my head up. Scott removes his tee and puts it under my head. "He tried to kill her, Dylan. He smacked her head down." Scott says and I whine. "I know it hurts. You need pack blood but not from us." He says and Luke approaches. He lowers down enough to where my muzzle was level with his shoulder. I take a bite and feel blood run down my throat. It tastes sweet and spicy at the same time, but in a perfect mixture. I run my tongue over the wound once I'm fine. I dip my head to him and he backs away. "Can you walk fine?" Dylan asks and I get up unsteadily. I limp to where Jaxon now lay. Blood seeped from various wounds but the one that caught my eye was the one on his chest. It wasn't near his throat or stomach so that wasn't what killed him. The large tearing at his neck wasn't either. I look around for what killed the Lannister but find nothing. Except for a large rock with the tip bloodied. I shift back and pick it up. "That's what hit you." Dylan says and I nod. "I can smell my blood." I say. "Bloodied Peak." I whisper. "Bloodied Peak. That's what will kill me." I say louder and everyone looks at me. "The peak of the rock is bloodied by my blood." "Or you can be their downfall, Lex." Liam pipes up and I look at them. "We don't speak of what happened here tonight. No one must know of anything." I say and throw the rock against the cliff wall, making the rock split in half. "And the Lannister?" Dylan asks. "Dispose of it. But give me his head. It's time everyone knew." I say and he looks at me like I've gone crazy. "Just do as I asked please." I say and he nods. Scott picks him up by the back and Dylan lifts him by the front. They go another way and I shift back to lead the pack home.
