"Kane will be here with Kennedy soon." I tell Dallas and Jenny. "We know. He called." Dallas says with a small smile. "Calm down, Lex." Jenny smiles and hugs me tightly. I hug her back and I feel a hand on my waist. I look up at Blake and he smiles then Jenny hugs him. Dallas growls lowly and Jenny glares at him. "He is our new Alpha, it is the best way to say goodbye for a while." She says and Dallas sighs. He shakes Blake's hand. Blake gives him a nod then looks down at me. "Ready to go?" He asks and I nod. He opens the door to the car for me and I step in. He makes sure the bottom of my dress does not get stuck on the door.
He adjusts his sunglasses and we wave to Dallas and Jenny as we go. Suddenly I feel worried. I haven't said anything, but I've noticed that Tyler hasn't been around lately. "Wait Blake. I need to ask Dallas something." I say and he stops. "I'll be back in a minute." I say and he nods. I run up to Dallas and he raises an eyebrow in question. "Dallas, have you seen Tyler lately?" I asks and he shares a look with Jenny. She nods and he turns to me, "He left the day you went with Kane to the Gathering. He told us to stay here with you." He answers and I blink. "When and if he comes back, tell him to stay the hell away." I say with a small snarl that startles them then walk back to the car without another word. "What's wrong?" Blake asks the moment I close the door behind me. "It's nothing, just someone that I thought loved me and would stay by my side, lied to me. Tyler Moon lied to me." I say and his eyes darken under his shades. "But it doesn't matter anymore. He can stay the hell out of my life." I say and Blake turns away. I can see his jaw is ticking in anger and I place my hand over his. It won't do much, but I know I have to show him I chose him. He places his hand on my thigh and I thread my fingers through his. "Thank you." He murmurs. "I'm yours now, know that." I say and I know what I said is making him feel as if the threat was gone. And it is long gone.

"Just be warned, my dad's kinda standoffish." He says as we drive up a concrete way. "It's okay. I'm used to that." I reply and I feel butterflies in my stomach. I am going to be meeting Blake's parents. "Are you nervous?" He asks and I look at him. "Me? Nervous? Never." I say and he laughs. "It's okay if you are. I mean, I get nervous talking to my dad." He says and I can tell he's trying to calm me down. His hand caresses my thigh softly and I try to relax. All I can think about is that I am going to meet the Gethen Alphas.
"We're here." He says and I look up at the beautiful home.

"Ready?" He asks me and I nod. He opens the door for me and holds his arm out. I wrap my arm around his and a woman with dark brown hair and blue eyes comes towards us with a tall, heavily tattooed blonde hazel eyed man right behind her. "Blake!" She says happily and hugs Blake tightly. He returns it then pulls back to stand beside me. "Mom, Dad, I'd like you to meet someone." Blake says and she turns to me. "Oh, who's this?" She asks interestedly while she studies me. "This is Alexa Sinclair, my mate." Blake says and I give them my best smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you." I say and politely dip my head. "Oh forget the proper traditions." She says with a wave of her hand. "It's nice to meet you Alexa. I'm Calla." She says with a touch of the cheek. I look up at Blake's father and he looks at me curiously. "I know that name." He says to his mate and she looks at him. "The Sinclairs." He continues. "Your father was Stefan Sinclair, no?" He asks in that Russian accent. "Yes, he was." I answer and I try not to let my emotions show. "I knew him. He was a good man." He says and I nod. "As was Lumine." Calla says. "I'm David." He says and he sticks his hand out to me. I place it in his and he presses a soft kiss to my knuckles. Blake growls softly at the gesture and David raises an eyebrow. "Come, the pack has been dying to meet you." Calla says and she takes me from Blake. He moves to follow us, but David places a hand against his chest. "So why hasn't he marked you yet?" Calla asks as we sit down at a table in the front. "Pardon?" I ask in confusion. "You are unmarked but my son claims you're his mate. Why hasn't he marked you yet?" She asks. I remain quiet because honestly, I don't even know why he hasn't marked me.
"I'm sorry if it's uncomfortable for you, it's just that it is our pack custom to mark your female the moment you are alone." She says. "That's what David is talking to Blake about." She continues and she motions towards the two men still standing by the driveway. I nod and look out at the pack. Everyone was chatting and seemed as if they were oblivious to me being right in front of them. Blake and David make their way towards us. Blake sits on David's right and I stay on his left. "Gethen Pack!" David barks as he stands up. Blake motions for me to stand and I do. He takes my hand in his and he runs his thumb over my knuckles. I rest my head on his shoulder and I listen to David's speech. Blake stands straighter and I know it is his turn to speak. "I come forth to present to you, my mate, Alpha Alexa Sinclair of the Bloodied Peak and Red Hill Packs." Blake says and the pack's heads immediately bow down at the mention of my packs. I respectfully dip my head to the pack and look at Blake. He nods once then turns back to the pack, "I hope you show your next Alpha Female the same amount of respect and love you show the present Alpha Female." He says and nods then sits. Everyone quickly returns to earlier and I watch how they greet each other. "Come, you should meet the next Beta." Blake says and he takes me to a table near ours. "Jacob!" Blake calls and a guy turns from two pretty females. "Blake! You've been gone too long, you son of a bitch!" The guy returns loudly and I stay awkwardly silent. "Jacob, this is Alexa. My mate." Blake says and I give Jacob a small smile. "It is a pleasure, Sweetheart." He says with a wink, which causes Blake to growl and bare his teeth at him. "Chill out Blake. I'm not trying to flirt with her." Jacob says and I place my hand on Blake's arm. "Come on, Blake." I say and he looks down at me. He takes my hand in his and with a nod towards Jacob and the females, we walk away.

Blake pulls the chair out for me and I sit. He sits beside me and pulls me into his side. I look out and notice why he did the action. A pair of males were eyeing me and a few females were looking at him through lowered lashes. I press my lips to the side of his neck and I make sure everyone can see the act.
I pull back and bite my lip when I meet his eyes. I grab my napkin and wipe away my blood red lipstick from his neck. He gives me a low growl with a lust filled gaze. "You are something else, you know that?" He murmurs lowly. I don't reply and rest my head back on his shoulder.

Soon people in all black come and start placing plates in front of everyone. It was a clean arrangement of chicken, steamed veggies, and a potato and cheese casserole. The Alphas eat first and Blake waits. I wait as well then they nod. We dig in and my eyes flutter at the flavors. Blake looks at me with a small smile on his face. "Is it that good?" He whispers in my ear. "Delicious." I answer and take my time to savor the cheesy potatoes.

Once the sun begins to set, I notice males walking up to females. I watch as one by one they walk off into the surrounding forest. "What are they doing?" I whisper to Blake. "Depends on the couple. Some can go for a run as wolves, others going for pleasure." He says with a glint in his eye. "I'd rather stay here." I say and he pulls away with a loud laugh. "It's okay, I wasn't suggesting anything." He says but his smirk says otherwise.

"Do you want to stay or go back to your territory?" Blake asks once the pack starts driving down a road towards buildings in the distance. "Whatever you choose." I answer truthfully as I stare up at the stars. I really didn't mind where we went, as long as I am with him.
"My parents invited us to stay with them." He says as he pulls me onto his lap. "You don't live here?" I ask and he shakes his head. "Nope. They kicked me out at 18 to live alone in the wild." He says dramatically and I giggle. "Blake, stop lying to my future daughter-in-law. We did not kick you out. You left, saying you were too old to live with us." Calla says and she smacks the back of Blake's head. "Lily, how could you shame our son in front of his mate?" David asks as he comes from behind her. She leans back into him and he wraps an arm around her waist. "Yeah Mom, what Dad said." Blake says and I watch their playful banter. "Without me. Now Lily, that's wrong." David says and Blake's face falls. David laughs and Blake watches him. "Wow Dad, thanks for the help." He mutters and it only causes David to laugh harder.
Once he calms down, Calla asks me if I'd like to help her with something. "Sure." I say and she nods. Blake looks at his mother suspiciously and I lightly shake my head at him. He playfully snaps his teeth at me and I sway my hips as I follow after Calla. I can feel his eyes on my ass and I hide my smirk from Calla. "Alexa, can you help me put this in the house?" Calla asks and I look at the strangely shaped wood box. "Sure." I say and lift the other end. We walk into the house through a side door right into the kitchen. She leads the way to a door on the other side. She opens the door and we place it against the back wall. "Thank you Alexa." She smiles and I return it. "No problem." I say and we walk back to our mates.
