Half Soul {Garroth x Reader}

Chapter 11~-~Oh-Meg-Ah

          You race against Lowell, Doyati and Danielle (A.K.A. Danny. Also know as-The she-wolf with purple ears who lived with Emmalyn.) Doyati leads the pack (quite literally), but you pull ahead of him. You howl, wind in your fur. You can feel Aphmau and Kiki in the two golden lassos tied around your neck like a collar. 

          The rest follow your howl, even Error, who howls in your thoughts. You can feel your tail wagging as you spot the comforting torch light of the Wolf Village. You howl a signal of arrival, and put on a final burst of speed. You beat the other three by a good five seconds. You don't shift back, like Danny and Doyati. You start to see the similarities. They have the same skin tone, same facial features, same slightly hooked nose. 

          You prance around, padding around and sniffing in many familiar smells. You get so excited, you even had to catch yourself about to dive head first into the crop water. You suddenly remember that you had two people in lassos around your neck, one of whom, had never traveled via wolf. You shift back quickly and unfasten them from your throat. Setting them both down, Kiki stands straight, even though you can see the bags under her eyes. Aphmau on the other hand, kneels over and almost vomits on you.

          "I-I'm so so sorry Aphmau! I kinda forgot about you. It's just been so long since I've gotten a good run in and-" You cut off. You had been remembering the race you'd had with Garroth on your second day in Phoenix Drop. Garroth. "Oh my Irene! Garroth is gonna kill me! I forgot to tell him I was leaving! I'm supposed to be on patrol! Ah soot!" 

          "Garroth is more than capable of taking care of Phoenix Drop. He has L-Laurence with him now. And the Irene statue! I'm sure they'll be fine!" You of all people knew that Aphmau still felt a tiny bit unsafe around Laurence. But she still trusted him so much. Keira places a hand on Aphmau's shoulders. 

          "Sister, sister, sister, it is good to see you." She looks up and meets your eyes. "Is that, is that, is that, (Y/N)? How is your dear mother and sister? Why have you traveled alone, young wolf?"

          "Heh, well, I wasn't alone. I came here with my Lord, but you already know her. Also, please don't call me (Y/N). It's (F/N) now." You avoid answering the question about Mother and Nicole. 

          "Wait, wait, wait," It was Aphmau who spoke. "Your name isn't (F/N)?" You shake your head. You had figured that Garroth had told Aphmau. You realize that he had indeed kept his promise not to mention it. "So you've been lying? Your a lier! How do I even know if I can trust you?" 

          "You can, you can, you can, most certainly trust (Y/N)." Keira says. "Just ask Kiki. Or the youngest of our tribe. Or even Boldof himself. (Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N), is a good friend of the tribe. Her, Nicole, and Luna are always welcome here. They are our sisters."

          "Thank you Keira. If you don't mind, I'd like to join the next hunt. It's been a while, so I want to how do you say, test my skills." Keira nods. 

         "The, the, the next patrol will be led by the triplets. Make sure you notify them." You grin hugely. 

         "The triplets? Oh this is gonna be fun!" You race off, shifting mid-stride. You skid to a halt and pace back. You look at Aphmau for permission.

         "Well... If the tribe trusts you I trust you. Just stay out of trouble." You stand on your hind legs and lick her face. She laughs and wipes her slobbery check. You race off to find the triplets. You had known the triplets since the were born. Their mother hadn't been expecting triplets. She had wanted to name her daughter Omega, but with three she decided to split it between the three.

        You catch sight of Oh, a oil black she-wolf with pale blue eyes. And her sisters Meg and Ah. Meg was brown with pale green eyes. Ah was a very pale gray, almost albino, with deep brown eyes. The triplets spot you and tackle you.

          "Auntie (Y/N)!" They shout in unison. They give you affectionate licks. You laugh. "I've missed you girls! Hows your mother?" 

          "Mother? She walks with the lunar goddess now." Oh says looking down. 

          "A-And with Sister Luna." Meg adds. You drop your now tear filled gaze. Luna. Your mother's name rings in your head. You decide to change the topic.

          "Keira told me you girls were leading the next hunt?" Ah nods. "Well put me down, I'm coming with." 

          Oh, Meg, and Ah smile at each other. 

          "Tonight, we hunt at the border of Bright Port." 

A/N 

Sorry this is a short chapter! I wanted to get it out, because honestly, I'm just as curious as you guys to see where this story goes. Only guidelines I have is to remember that it's got to have a similar timeline to Diaries and that it is a Garroth X Reader. Or Gareader. IDK who first said that. I read it in a fanfic somewhere.
