You look over the horror before you. You watch as Aphmau tries to wake the dead wolves, one after another. They don't stir. You find your knees are week and you suddenly feel sick. You start to sway and fall. Garroth catches you and you cover your mouth.
"(Y/N)? Are you oka-" You push Garroth away, which results to you falling on the ground.
"Oh, I'm gonna be sick!" And you did get sick. (I'd rather not describe that) Garroth looks unsure what to do. Laurence pulls your hair back as another wave of nasuea washes over you.
Aphmau returns to see you sitting up against a tree, shaking violently with Laurence tending to you. "What happened?"
"(Y/N) got sick," Laurence explains. Aphmau gives him a strange look. "What? I have a sister, you know. I can deal with a girl getting sick."
You laugh and instantly regret it. You fall over, holding your side. Aphmau's eyes widen and she kneels next to you. Upwind from you. Three scents crash into you like a rock. Aphmau's, Logan's and another's . A werewolf's. Not strong enough to be a grown wolf, not nearly. However, it didn't reek of death, either. Airia comes over.
"(N/N)?" She uses your nickname from high school. "Are you alright?"
Laurence looks at Airia with total shock.
"SHE SPEAKS!!" He exclaims. Aphmau laughs. It was true. Airia had been her usual silent self. Airia ignores him, even though checks go a bright red.
Garroth paces over to you. He still seems quite a bit flustered after you fell on him. In all honesty, you were too. Your eyes lock and you make a silent agreement to never speak of it. You assure everyone that you're fine and the group keeps moving.

The friendly and comforting smells of the wolf village hit you. You tiredly inform Aphmau that you're almost there. She yawns and rubs her eyes. Garroth glances at the sun. You suddenly hate yourself, trying to remember if you had been staring at him that whole time.
"M'lady," Garroth starts. You notice something as he's telling her that it's in the best interest of everyone if we waited until morning to go to Phoenix Drop. The way he speaks to her. He speaks of and to her in a very high manor. His tone is soft, as if talking to a child, but his wording is very respectful.
"(Y/N)?" Garroth calls from ahead of you. You hadn't realized that he had stopped you at the entrance of the wolf village . "(Y/N), are you alright? From earlier, I mean." You can't help study the tone he uses with you. Not disrespectful, by any means. He treats you like a lady, but without the tender softness he speaks to Aphmau with. The fact doesn't really bother you. It's just strange to you, seeing as Laurence to her the same way.
You gasp as realization strikes your mind. You cover your mouth in shock. You start laughing and you imagine Garroth is very confused.
"You like Aphmau, don't you?" Garroth has to take a few steps back. "OH APHMAU!!" You shout. Garroth grabs your wrist.
"DON'T YOU DARE!" He pushes you against a tree roughly. He pins you. There was no longer any respect in his voice. "Give me your word!"
"What ever do you mean?" You bat your eyes innocently. Garroth punched the tree next to you. You only just had time to thank Irene you still had your cloak on when Garroth pulls your hood down, reveling your terrified expression. You try to push his arms away, forgetting that your arm was still hurt. He had crossed the line. "Let me go."
"(Y/N)," he releases you and pulls off his helm. "I'm not going to lie to you, I love Lady Aphmau. Not in the way a guard should, like Azura and Lord Burt. I love her as Donna loves Logan. However, I'm not prepared to tell her. So I ask of you," his regal face is beaded with sweat. "Please, help me keep this secret."
You cross your arms. You would never admit it, but it hurt for some reason. A sort of stinging in your chest. Like the after affect as if someone had hit you in the boob. (It hurts! Really bad! Like at my school we have Co-Ed PE. So, when we play dodgeball, if a teammate sacrificed him/her self so you didn't get hit in the boob, that person was your best friend for the next week.)
"Why should I?" You hold out your hurt arm just enough for him to see the bandages. "I don't owe you anything! You saved my life, I saved yours. We're even." He blinks.
"When did I-"
"When I first came to Phoenix Drop! I called on Umi and doused the flames on Lord Aphmau's home! Then I fainted!!"
"Well then, how about I tell Aphmau you lied to her about how your mother died?" You tense. How did he know? He smiles. "I'm right, aren't I? I put it together. Well, after Aphmau told me your mother died saving you, but you had previously told me and Laurence that she had died because YOU were supposed to be the alpha female. I'm not going to tell unless you tell. So, what will it be?" You take in a deep breath.
"Excuses me for a moment to consult with my, uh, council." You turn so Garroth can only see your back.
Idiot! Error screams in your thoughts.
"I was emotionally distraught!" You whisper to Error. Error mocks you.
Oh, look at me! I'm (Y/N)! I can't get my lies straight because Mommy died and I've got Daddy issues!
"Cut it out!" The whisper's a little bit louder. "That's not funny!"
"Uh, (Y/N), are you al-"
"SHUT UP!" Two voices leave your mouth. This has happened before, Error and you speaking the same thing at the same time, just not often. At this point Garroth understands that you're talking to Error and keeps quiet. You don't care anymore if he hears you or not. Quickly angered. Congrats! I bet you forgot you were a werewolf!
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" You scream in your own voice.
"MAKE ME!" Error forces her voice through.
"UGH! YOU'RE SUCH A BITCH!"
"LOOK WHOOSE TALKING, Mrs. Oh, I'm so in love with a boy that I lie about how my Mum died saving me after I saved my little Boy Toy! Only to leave him two months later!"
"S-Stop it!" It was starting to get through and Error knew. Garroth swallows. That's it. "Garroth, I'll meet you guys back at Phoenix Drop. Right now, I need sometime to myself. If I'm not there by sunset tomorrow, I'm dead." You pick up your cloak and re fasten it.
"Ugh, you're such a prideful little shit! What if I wanted to look at Ro'Meave for a while?" You ignore Error, shutting her out from using her voice out loud. You walk to the cliff, memories of that night flooding over you. You take a deep breath and sit crossed-legged.
"Hey, Mom," you say to the breeze. "So, I've been having a bit of a rough time with Error, and I wondered if you had any advice?" What a shock, no response. You sigh. "Yeah. Thanks anyway."
