Half Soul {Garroth x Reader}

Chapter 5~-~The Nether

                   You reach the village of Meteli. You had convinced Aphmau to let you go with her and Laurence to find the 'Chicken Shaman'. You still can't help but snicker at his name. Aphmau went to talk to Laurence and sent you to scout ahead. You leap across the broken bridge almost slipping. You can hear a distant buzzing noise. You come upon a small shack and spotted a man in a black and yellow shirt. 

                    "Hi there! I'm Doctor Bees! Castor asked me to watch his chickens while he went to save his other chickens! You can go in, just don't kill any chickens!"

                       You jog inside and find a note let by Sasha. You run all the way back to Meteli {Falling into the river while you were at it.} Cold and Wet, you make your way to Lady Aphmau and Laurence. The words spill out of you mouth a few at a time whilst you catch your breath. Aphmau grabs your arm and hauls you back to the docks with Laurence trailing behind you. She jumps into the dinky boat we took here. Laurence unties it from the docks and kicks off with his leg. Aphmau steers The S.S. Sea Babe towards Bright Port. 

                    Once there, the three of you run as fast as your tired legs could carry you to the wolf village. You stop outside it and Aphmau notices. She doesn't have that kind smile you used to know, instead she has this spark in her eye. It sends a shiver down your spine.

                   "You're either in," she points behind her towards the village. "Or out, (F/N)." She turns and sprints off to the biggest werewolf you could see. You follow her passing many wolves. 

                    "Sister Aphmau!" The wolf pulls Aphmau into a bear hug. Or would it be a wolf hug? "What are you here for? Do you need our assistance?" 

                   "Boldof," She starts. "We need to borrow your nether portal." That's why she wanted to go to the Wolf Village. Boldof leads you to a purple lit cave. The Nether portal stands open and active, reflecting purple light hits your eye. Aphmau hesitates at the portal for a split second. she steps through with Laurence in trail.

                   "Sister (Y/N)," Boldof grabs your arm. He can't see your face because of your helm and cloak, but he can sent the werewolf blood in your veins. "Do be careful. Lowell really misses you."

                    "I will be careful brother," You step up towards the portal and look back. "By the way, I've started going my (F/N)." You step through the portal and the world fades behind you.

                  When you step into the fire filled dimension you can see Laurence and Aphmau standing alarmingly close to a ledge. Hurrying over, you can see a nether fortress in the distance. The three of you make your way down using the path that Aphmau had made another time. You fall over your own two feet and slide into the soul sand. Your movements slow and your head spins. You can feel the power of Tamshi {The soul spirit.} latching onto you. The souls of the people who had died in the Nether wrapped around your wrists like shackles. Aphmau and Laurence didn't see you fall, they were already at the nether brick bridge. You try to yell, but the souls pull you closer to the ground and you get a mouth full of sand. You spit it out hastily. You throw your head up and yell for help. 

                 But nobody came. (Reference) The souls had gotten your ankles at this point. Pulling you feet first into a standing position. You had no choice at this point. If you didn't call on your powers you'll never make it. You feel your left eye glowing a deep brown. You force the souls back into the sand and stand quickly. You hardcore sprint down the bridge with fallen shadow nights. 

                  You can hear Aphmau screaming at someone to hurry up. You can hear a chicken clucking and heavy foot steps. Aphmau appears at the platform of the stairs above you and runs, taking two stairs at a time, towards you. You notice she's crying. 

                   "(F-F/N)?" Her confusion soon turns to anger. "WHY WEREN'T YOU WITH US!? WHY DID YOU STAY BEHIND FOR SO LONG?!" You open your mouth to speak. "FORGET IT, I DON'T EVEN CARE! COME ON! WE GOT TO GO!" 

                  She grabs your arm and pulls you. You shake off her grip and run ahead, mentally racing Aphmau. Unlike Garroth, she was fast and rather graceful. An explosion throws you off your feet and sends Aphmau flying towards the edge of the bridge. The man following Aphmau shreaked. 

                 "MY PEOPLE!" Aphmau grabbed him by the ear and drug him along. The man fought her and shoved her down. You rush forward and grab the collar of his shirt. He tries to push away from you but your grip is strong. You drag him across the ground all the way back to the Nether portal. You let Aphmau and the man go through first. Right before you step through the portal you can hear Laurence scream. You turn and see a dark figure rising from the castle, laughing.

                  "Laurence!" You start to sprint back to the castle.

                  "Don't." Aphmau, who had come back through the portal to see what was taking you so long, grabbed your wrist. You look at her with shock, but you can see she's crying. "I-I can't lose two people today." You let her pull you towards the purple light and back to the Above World.
