Rhapsody's pov
Two days. Two days of searching everywhere with no sign of Harmony. I've never felt so miserable.
"Melody, maybe...maybe it's too late."
"No. She's waiting for us. I just know it. Let's keep looking."
I followed Melody with my head hung down. Most of the others had given up. I don't blame them, I feel like giving up sometimes. The only ones who have continued the search with us are Slender and Jack.
I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when I bumped into Melody. "Huh? Why'd we stop?"
I looked around her to see a small cliffside with a cave right in front of us. I glanced behind us before saying, "We must be pretty far from the mansion. I've never been here before."
Melody quietly headed into the cave. I quickly followed behind, feeling a small glimmer of hope. The tunnel was small but pretty straightforward, no branching paths or anything like that.
We soon exited the cave only to find ourselves in more woods. I groaned and said, "Uuugh, this is hopeless!"
"Wait. What's that?"
I followed Melody's gaze to see something past the trees in the distance. I squinted my eyes, trying to get a better look at it.
"It looks like...a house?"
I gasped. "Maybe that's where Harmony is!"
I quickly rushed ahead, hearing Melody's footsteps behind me as I ran. As we got closer and closer, I could tell it was some kind of log cabin.
Not being able to see through the windows, we went to the front door. Melody hesitantly knocked. There was no answer. She tried twisting the door knob, but it was locked.
I pushed in front of her and banged my fists on the door. Still nothing. I sighed and looked over at my sister.
"Now what?"
Melody looked around for a moment. She suddenly went over to a window, picked up a rock, and broke the glass. I went over to see some flimsy old boards blocking the window from the inside.
Together, we pushed against them until they fell away, allowing us to climb inside. We looked around at the empty living room. Seeing another door, we went and opened it.
We both gasped, seeing Harmony lying on the nearby bed. We rushed over to her.
"Harmony!"
We shook her, but she seemed to be unconscious. She was only wearing a lacy white bra and panties. She had multiple bruises, cuts, and similar marks all over her body, some of which looked pretty bad and her breathing was shallow and uneven.
Melody quickly scanned the room before saying, "Offenderman must not be here right now. Let's hurry up and get Harmony out of here."
I nodded and took one of Harmony's arms, slinging it over my shoulder while Melody did the same with her other arm. We lifted up our unconscious sister and began rushing to the door.
We stopped at the front door, allowing Melody to begin unlocking all the locks on the door. This gave me a good chance to glance at some of Harmony's wounds.
Some of the cuts had begun bleeding quite a bit after we had moved Harmony. When I realized Melody had gotten the door open, I decided to say something.
"We should probably hurry. Harmony's bleeding and we don't know when Offender will be back."
Melody nodded and we moved as fast as we could away from the cabin. We soon went through the cave again and headed out toward the mansion. We stopped momentarily to catch our breath before continuing.
That's when we caught sight of someone not far from us. I instantly recognized the dark hoodie and called out, "Jack!"
Jack turned toward us and came rushing over. "What's going on?! What happened?!"
Melody started explaining, "We found Harmony, but she's in really bad shape. She needs help immediately."
Jack seemed to stare at Harmony for a moment before coming closer. "I can bandage her up when we get back. Here. Let me take her."
He carefully took Harmony from us, easily lifting her up in his arms. The three of us ran until we finally made it back to the mansion.
Jack quickly rushed past the others and went straight to his little medical room, the same place we were kept in when we first got here. The others began following us in and crowded around to see what was going on.
Jack turned toward the others and said, "Everyone out. I need to get to work."
The others slowly left the room. Melody and I went over, taking one more look at Harmony. She laid unconscious on the metal table, her wounds still bleeding.
"Don't worry, you two. I'll have her fixed up in no time."
Melody pat his shoulder. "We trust you, Jack. Take care of her."
He nodded and started getting his supplies out. Melody grabbed my arm and pulled me out with her. I guess we'll have to fill the others in on everything while we wait.
Jack's pov
Once Melody and Rhapsody left, I started examining Harmony's body. She had bloody cuts and scrapes all over. Bruises and bite marks covered her neck, breasts, and thighs. And every breath she took was quick and shallow.
I don't want to even think about what Offender did to her, but the bite marks and bruises make it obvious. I felt so much anger at Offender and so much worry for Harmony.
I began cleaning and bandaging her up. The only wound that stood out to me was the one on her side. It looked like some kind of stab wound, but it surprisingly wasn't bleeding that much. I quickly cleaned and wrapped it up as well.
When I was done, I gazed down at Harmony. Even in this state, she still looked so beautiful...and so...vulnerable. I quickly shook the thought out of my head.
No, I will not be like Offenderman. I grabbed a thin blanket and covered her body with it. I then leaned down toward her while pushing my mask up.
I moved a few strands of hair out of her face and quietly said, "You don't have to worry, Harmony. You're safe now."
I pecked her forehead before fixing my mask back and leaving the room. Everyone else was waiting in the living room with Slender now joining them.
Melody and Rhapsody both stood up and asked, "Is she okay?"
I smiled slightly. "She's going to be fine. She just needs to rest."
They both sighed in relief. Slender then said, "And I got a chance to speak with my brother. After I gave him a stern talking to, he has agreed to leave the girls alone."
Now it was my turn to sigh in relief. The rest of the day, the other two sirens and I frequently checked up on Harmony, who remained in an unconscious state.
Later that night, I went to bed. I didn't sleep all that much. I mostly just stared up at the ceiling with Harmony in my mind. I just want her to wake up now so that I can talk to her again and gaze into her crimson eyes.
Harmony's pov
The overwhelming sensation in my side came back again. I still couldn't see anything but darkness, but I could feel the unbearable pain.
I then remembered why it hurt so much and began to panic. I must remove it. It hurts so much. The pain will stop if I get it out. Must. Get. It. Out.
