Chapter 12: Ready

Jewel shrugged and decided to walk down the halls. Jewel then found the female that he was looking for and ran towards her. "Hey Velvet," Jewel said looking at the female.

"Oh Jewel it's good to see that you're back," Velvet said looking at the male. Jewel came to a stop when he was beside the female. "So where were you Jewel," Velvet asked looking at him.

"I just had to figure something out. Fox really got me thinking about something. I had to figure out if he was right so I had to leave. I'm glad I did. So what has everyone been up to while I was gone?" Jewel said looking at her.

"Well that's good, as for what everyone's been doing I know that Weiss and Yang have been working on the dance," Velvet said looking at Jewel.

"Really? I guess it keeps the two busy and it helps the overall image of team RWBY so it's not a bad thing," Jewel said looking at her.

"Oh well it's good to have you back. Listen Jewel I'd love to catch up but I need to go. It's time for me to train with Yatsuhashi," Velvet said as she started to walk away. When she did Jewel looked at her and walked in the opposite direction.

While he was walking he heard a familiar voice call out behind him. "HEY JEWEL!" He heard someone say. When Jewel turned around he saw a familiar blonde figure running towards him.

He stopped so that he could catch up and looked at him. "Hey Jaune, are you okay?" Jewel asked seeing the male slightly out of breath.

"I'm fine," Jaune said looking at him. The male then stood up and looked at Jewel. "Mind helping me with something?" Jaune asked looking at Jewel.

"Sure what is it?" Jewel asked looking at the male in front of him.

"Well I want to ask Weiss to the dance and I need some advice on how to do it," Jaune said looking at Jewel.

"And you thought coming to me was a good idea?" Jewel asked looking at Jaune. When he asked this the blonde nodded and looked at him. "I think you'd be better off trying to get help from someone else," Jewel said looking at him.

"I would but I don't know anyone else who's had this kind of experience. So you're kind of my last option," Jaune said looking at Jewel.

The white haired male was a little displeased to hear this. However he decided to help Jaune out. He may not have any experience in this subject but he could at least try to help Jaune.

"Trying buying her a rose . . . And maybe something nice like a necklace," Jewel said looking at him.

"Okay well thanks for the advice. I'll stop by your dorm later to let you know how it goes," Jaune said looking at him. The blonde male then started to walk down the hallway so that he could buy a rose.

Jewel turned around and headed towards his dorm. After all someone from the three teams he actually talked to knew that he was back. However as he was walking he ran into two girls.

He accidentally sent one of them back and Jewel offered the two a hand up. One of them had dark skin and green hair as well as red eyes. The other had pale skin black hair tied into twin tails, and geen eyes.

"Sorry about that," Jewel said offering the two a hand up. The green haired female accepted his help. When he helped her up she smiled at him and got behind him. "It's okay after all it was an accident. My name is Emerald and this is my friend Neo," the green haired female said looking at him.

"Nice to meet you," Jewel said looking at them. When he looked at the black haired female she nodded and smiled.

"Neo's the quite type," Emerald said looking at Jewel.

"Oh okay," Jewel said looking at her. Jewel was about to say something until he heard a new voice enter the room.

"Come on Emerald we need to go Cinder's waiting for us," a male said looking at him.

'Why does that name sound so familiar?' Jewel asked himself inside his mind.

"Well we better go," Emerald said looking at Jewel.

"That's okay I have my own plans," Jewel said looking at the female. When the three walked away Jewel started to walk to his dorm. When he finally got there he went inside and began to lay down on his bed.

He was a little exhausted after everything that had just happened. He had a lot on his mind and at the moment just wanted to relax.

'They're gone now. Does that still make me their perfect weapon? Should I carry out their mission? Do I want to carry out their mission? . . . No. I am my own person now. I don't need them and if they're gone then their goal is no longer my concern,' Jewel thought to himself.

He felt much better now that he had gotten that out of his head. However his thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. When Jewel opened the door he saw Jaune standing there.

"She turned me down," Jaune said looking at him.

"Oh well that sucks," Jewel said looking at him.

"Yeah, I'm still going to go to the dance," Jaune said looking at him.

"Why?" Jewel asked looking at Jewel.

"Well it's at the school so it's not exactly far. Plus, my luck may turn around if I go," Jaune said looking at Jewel.

"Cool let me know how it is," Jewel said looking at him.

"You're not going?" Jaune asked looking at him.

"No," Jewel said looking at the blonde male in front of him.

"Why not?" Jaune asked looking at him.

"I don't have anyone to go with," Jewel said looking at him.

"Neither do I, but I'm still going. You know what since you tried helped me with Weiss I'm going to help you with getting a date," Jaune said looking at the male.

Jewel looked like he was going to say something however Jaune managed to cut him off by speaking first. "Come on there has to be someone you like," Jaune said looking at Jewel.

"Even if I did I don't see how that's any of your concern," Jewel said looking at the male.

"Well even if you don't like someone then there has to be someone you at least think is cute or attractive," Jaune said looking at Jewel. The white haired male was slightly quite at this.

This action only made Jaune smile and look at the male. "So who is it?" Jaune asked looking at him.
