The city that Jewel had ended up in was Vale out of all places he hadn't expected to end up in Vale of all places. After all it was the leading city when it came to skilled hunters. It may not have had the most fire power but the hunters that graduated from there were more skilled than others.

He had spent the majority of his life there. He spent the past ten years there and hadn't planned on leaving. After all it was probably the safest place in the world if Grimm were to suddenly attack.

Being in the city as long as he had been he had ultimately decided to join Beacon and fight against the Grimm. He wasn't interested in defending humanity against other humans. He didn't see the point in it.

At the moment he was walking down the streets of Vale today was his first day at Beacon. He was supposed to get his partner today he wasn't sure how he was supposed to get his partner because it changed every year but he was excited to see who he was going to paired with.

As he looked into the large crowd of people that was around. Jewel looked around and saw a blonde female holding another because a white haired girl was yelling at her.

He missed most of the speech because he was busy listening to the three of them. It wasn't often he found something like that to entertain himself with so he was enjoying himself at the moment.

However Ozpin then said something that caught his attention. "Would all first year students of Beacon academy please follow me," Ozpin said looking at the large crowd in front of him.

When he said this several people started to follow the silver haired male. There were several wooden squares on the ground. Several students started to stand on them.

"Alright everyone in the forest the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the rest of the year. Now there are several pieces at the ruins. I want you and your partner to retrieve one of these pieces and present them to me. If you fail to bring me one of the pieces then you fail.," Ozpin said as he walked by all the students in front of him.

"Well how do we land?" Jewel heard someone beside him ask. When he looked to his side he saw a male with blonde hair a sword and a shield looking at him.

"I am also letting you come up with your own landing strategy," Ozpin said looking at him.

"Okay but what exactly is a landing strategy?" The blonde asked looking at him.

"That's up to you to decide," Ozpin said as he was suddenly launched into the air.

'I don't know why but I really like the headmaster,' Jewel thought to himself as he was also thrown into the air. He looked around and saw several different people using several different means to slow down and stop.

However as Jewel was watching he failed to come up with his own means of stopping the fall until he was inches away from the ground. When he saw this he raised his hands up and coated himself in as much aura as he could before he hit the ground.

When he hit the ground he made a small crater and a loud thud. He got up as slowly as possible and looked around. "That . . . actually hurt," Jewel said to himself as he got up.

It wasn't often that he felt pain but when he did it really hurt him so he wasn't dealing with this to well. He then looked around and nothing seemed to look any different to him. It was just a bunch of trees that all looked the same to him.

He then started to move a steady amount of aura to his eyes. When he did he saw several outlines of figures. He saw a red figure moving towards a white figure rather fast. As well as a yellow figure that seemed to be fighting something but he couldn't see what.

He also noticed another red figure heading towards another white figure. He found it a little odd that the white figure was floating in the air but he wasn't going to question it.

He started to walk towards the area that the others were heading after that had to right direction if everyone else was going in that direction right.

As he walked towards the building that he saw they were all at he suddenly stopped seeing a nevermore. 'I don't have the time to deal with one of them. So I'll let them handle it,' Jewel thought to himself as he watched them all slowly move away from the area.

He smiled when they all left and went to go see what pieces were left for him to take. A few pieces were missing but he was more than happy with the pieces he had taken.

He scanned over the pieces that were left and made his choice. He picked up the queen and smiled. "It night not be the most valuable piece but it's definitely the strongest," Jewel said aloud looking at it.

Once he had picked up the small object he heard someone in the bushes behind him. He sighed he really tried to avoid people so far and he really didn't want to run into anyone then again he did need a partner.

He was at a mental war with himself. However he cam to a decision as to weather he should stay or not.

1. Yes
2. No
