Julie's POV

This is the day. I'm finally 18. I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs. I forgot that I was at Luke's place and not mine. I see his mom in the kitchen and I walk in and ask if she needs help with anything but when I walk in I see that her and Andrew don't look very happy. I start to walk away when Liz calls my name. 

"Julie, honey you can come in, it's alright" she says

I slowly walk in and sit down. 

"Is everything alright" I ask worried

"Honey, um, your dad called this morning" she starts 

"When will he be here" I ask wanting to see my dad. 

"Well, sweetie, something came up and, their all being delayed, he's not going to be able to make it today" she says holding my hand. 

I'm in shock. I wanted to be with my whole family today, and now, I can't. I excuse myself from the room and go outside and start walking down the street. I see someone walking in the distance and I see Calum. He must have seen me to because he starts running towards me. 

"Hey Julie" he says hugging me. 

I can't help it, being in a calum hug made me cry. 

"Julie whats the matter" he asks concern in his voice.

"It's my birthday today and, my dad and everyone else isn't going to make it" I say.

I feel his grip tighten around me and he ends up throwing me on his back and gives me a piggy back ride back to Luke's Place. 

Liz's POV

I woke up to start getting everything going for Julie's party today and I heard the phone ringing. hen I picked up I realized it was Louis. He told em the boy and him weren't going to be able to make it and i knew this was going to break Julie's heart. I saw Julie standing in the door frame starting to walk away but I called her back in. I told her what had happened and she excused herself from the room. 

"Morning mom" Luke says walking in

"morning love" I say hugging my son.

"Where's my birthday girl" he ask noticing she wasn't down here

I sit him down and explain to him what was going on and thats when the doorbell sounded. Andrew got up and I heard Calum's voice ring out through the house. We all walk into the living room. I see Julie on his back and he passes her to Luke. I decided that Julie was still going to have her party but the only difference will be that it will only be the 5sos boys, Ben, Jack , Andrew, and myself  instead. Luke, Julie, and Calum all go hang in his room. 

Luke's POV

I can only imagine how Julie must be feeling right now. I hear Skype going off and Julie answers her phone. 

"Why, I know, I love you too, I miss you daddy, it's not fair, i don't care, i don't understand, yes, yes, I love you too" was all I got out of the convo because Julie had her head phones in. She hug up Skype and leaned her head on me. I hear a knock on my door and Ashton and Michael walk in. They both have about 8 bags each. 

"Julie, we heard about your dad, so, we decided you could have your gifts from us now" they say 

I watch as Julie sits in between my legs and opens each bag with care.

I watched as Julie actually smiled for the first time all day. We went downstairs and we did everyone else gifts too. My mom got her body sprays, clothes and movies. My dad got her a new phone because her old one was crap, a body pillow, and some sun glasses. My brothers teamed up and got her nail polish, a new purse, and a necklace that is in the shape of a small hour glass. Julie loved everything. I got her something special. 

"babe, I did get you something but before you say anything hear me out. I love you Juliette Lea Tomlinson and no matter what that will never change. I have loved you since day one but never told you and when I wanted to it was too late, but I got the shot again and went for it and now with all that said this is for you babe." I get down on one knee and hold out a sapphire Promise Ring. 

I watch as tears start to brim her eyes and she covers her mouth in a gasp. I slip the ring on her finger and she is amazed by it. She wraps her arms around me hugging me. I see what time it is and it is time to start to party. We all go in the back yard and it's all decorated like how Julie wanted it. Harry sent my mum the list but we all helped pay for things. Julie was dancing and having a good time. 

I watched as Ashton went over to her and they started doing the chicken dance together. My dad recorded the whole thing and then I don't know what happened but a One Direction song came on. Julie froze and put her head down standing in place. I heard the door bell ring but my mom was already lighting the candles on her cake. I told her to make a wish and blow out the candles. Calum got the front door. 

Calum's POV

I ran to the front door and when I opened it Louis and the gang were all standing there. I was surprised to see them. I gave each of them a hug and led them out back .

"How did you guys get here" I asked shocked

"We took a later plane, i wasn't missing my baby girls birthday" Louis said

I led them out back and Julie was crying again. I felt bad for her. I sent Louis over to give her a hug from behind and when she turned around I thought she was going to shit herself. She jumped onto him and hugged the daylights out of him. We had a special daddy daughter birthday dance. They danced to I Held Her First by Heartland. This ended up being a good day for her after all. 

"Julie, what was your wish" I asked

"To be with my whole family on this special day" she said hugging all the lads.
