She Will Be Loved

Family Outing

Luke's POV

After last night and everything that has happened in general I am taking my family to the park for the day. I roll out of bed get Kennedy up and ready and go back into mine and Julie's room to wake her up. 

"Baby, wake up. Were having a family day" I say lightly shaking her awake. 

"mmmm, I'm up baby, I'll be downstairs in a minute. Go get Kennedy up and fed." she says into the pillow. 

"already done, were waiting on you love" I say laughing

I watch as Julie rolls over and heads for her closet to get some clothes. She picks a simple T-shirt with blue jeans and her sandles. We walk downstairs and get Kennedy in her stroller and head for the park. 

Julie's POV

As I walk down the street with Luke and Kennedy I can see that people are staring and talking. i try to brush it off and ignore it. We get to the park and we run into my Aunt Charlotte, Lottie for short. Kennedy runs to lottie and Luke and I sit on a close by bench. 

"honey, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. I tell Luke turning to face him. 

"about what my love?" he asks facing me

"We need to think about enrolling Kennedy into school" I explain watching Lottie and Kennedy play.

" Of course we can" he says pulling me into him.

We sit on the bench watching Kennedy play and after sliding on the slide and swinging on the swings, Lottie brings Kennedy over to us.

"Hey beautiful" she says giving me a hug. 

"Hey auntie." I say hugging her back.

"Listen if it's alright with you and Luke I'd love to have Kennedy spend the night tonight, give you guys a break" she says with hopeful eyes.

"of course she can. We'll drop off her stuff to you later." Luke says standing up and then helping me up. 

"YAY" Kennedy says jumping up and down.

I can't help but laugh at the little girl in front of me. Considering everything shes endured by being with us she is such a bright happy little girl with a bright future ahead of her.

Lottie leaves and takes Kennedy with her while Luke and I walk home. We go home and before packing up Kennedy I'm carefully being pushed against the wall by Luke.

"Baby, I've been wanting you all day" he says while kissing my neck.

"Well then, Let's take this party upstairs." I say guiding him to our room.
