Leaving The Hospital

Julie's Pov 

I haven't been to bed yet and probably won't be for awhile. Twins, I knew I was carrying and I did everything to keep them healthy. I was going to make the announcement at the engagement part but instead had to have everyone find out after it was to late. I crawl out of bed and walk out of my room leaving my fiance behind to sleep. As I leave the room the only people around are a few nurses at the nurses station and a couple doctors. I start walking down the hall and take the elevator down to the cafeteria. I get myself a bagel with cream cheese and some orange juice. I feel a hand on my shoulder and see my dad standing behind me. Just feeling his gentle touch makes me break down. He grabs my food and juice and carries me back to my room. 

"It's not fair dad" I say all messed up and a wreck. 

"I know baby, but, just think, Kennedy is healthy and Damon is forming fantastically.  my dad says laying me in bed. 

He walks away and goes back to the room the hospital set up for them and my uncles. Everyone else went home. I feel all the stress just take over my body and I cry myself into a quiet somber sleep. I wake up a few hours later and I see Luke caressing my face and telling me he loves me. 

"Honey" I mumble groggily. 

 "I'm right here baby" luke says laying next to me. 

"Why did this have to happen to us" I ask clinging to him. 

"Sometimes these things happen princess and they can't be helped" Luke says wrapping his arms around me. 

"The doc came in while you were sleeping and cleared you to leave today" he says holding me tighter.

After hearing that Luke helps me get my stuff and walks me out to the car, finally, I'm going home. I can't wait to see my babygirl and my dad and uncles.  

---At Home---

Louis's Pov

Julie is finally coming home. I see her walking out the hospital doors with Luke. She looks so unlike herself and it kills me to see but I put a smile on my face and get out and hug my daughter. I hold the door open for her and Luke slides in after her.  As I take off driving back home I start to think about the first day we met. Paul took her in after her parents died and finally after some time things went down between them and I took her in as my daughter and finally adopted her. As I sit driving home reminiscing on how blessed I am I look over and see Julie cuddling up next to Luke. After everything this girl has been through she still manages to break a smile and love so hard. I'm proud of her. 

We pull into the driveway of her and Luke's place and Kennedy comes running out in just a pamper. I help Julie out of the car while Luke runs to their daughter. 

"Hi babygirl" I hear Luke say while giving her big hugs and kisses.

I take Julie inside and sit her down. Everyone is inside waiting for her. 

"mommy, I've missed you" Kennedy says crawling up on the couch and curling up with her mom. 

"I've missed you to my love" Julie says holding her daughter.

I sit down on the couch across from the love seat the two girls and Luke are sitting on. 

"We've missed you sweetie" Harry says giving her a hug. 

"How you feeling" Liam asks

"I'm doing ok, a bit bummed but in the situation, twice now, who wouldn't be" Julie says solemnly. 

A bit later we all go our separate ways and head home. 

Luke's Pov

The boys all went home and the only ones left were Julie, Kennedy, and me. Julie brings Kennedy upstairs and puts her to bed and as I wait for her to come back down she never does and at this point I'm starting to worry. I go upstairs and see Julie laying in the bathtub relaxing which at this point is what she needs, nothing but rest. 

I go into the bedroom and strip down and slide into bed to get comfortable. I see Julie through the bathroom door and see her drying off and putting her hair up in a bun. She comes out in her brown tank top and short shorts and lays down with me in bed. I roll over and turn the light off and cuddle up with my girl. 

Before Julie falls asleep I notice her do something I've never seen her do before. I saw her pray. Why this surprises me it does but no matter what I let it go and let her finish. I see her get out of bed and leave the room. I follow her and she goes inside Kennedy's room. Shes whispering something to her and gets up and walks out. 

"Honey, are you ok" I ask as she closes the door. 

"Yeah, Just wanted to make sure she was ok." she says 

"Ok, come on princess, lets get back in bed" I say guiding her back to the bedroom. 

We walk back into the room and all of a sudden she just stops. I step in front of her and I can't make out her facial expression, it's to dark to see. I slowly wrap my arms around her and hug her tight. Finally she snaps out of it and we both crawl into bed. 

"Please don't ever leave" She says in such an innocent voice that it makes me realize how broken she is. 

"I'm not going anywhere my love" I say kissing her and holding her through the night.
