The girl bursts into a fit of laughing. “Did I say something wrong?” I ask between the boy and the girl, “No, you didn’t. Wendy is just being a dunce.” He says. Wendy takes a sharp breath in, “I am not!” The youngest boy hops off the bed chanting in a sing-songy manor around the room, “Wendy is a dunce, Wendy is a dunce.”, when he comes to stop. “Isn’t that right Peter? Wendy’s a dunce.” He tugs on something while still clutching his stuffed toy. “Now, Michael you don’t go around saying things like that.” John scolds. “You either Peter.” John points to a space between Michael and Wendy. “But, you said it.” Michael pouts. Before John says whatever he was about to say he stops as if he was listening to something. “Well, Peter, a dunce is someone ignorant, stupid, or not very intelligent.” John says pondering as he holds his chin in thought. “Like Wendy for example.” He says. I suppress a giggle and smile when it falls as I see John’s next expression. Michael falls on the floor laughing clutching his stomach and bear. “What’s the matter?” I ask. “Wait, till Mother and Father here about this.” He says a playful smile crawling up his face. “You wouldn’t!” Wendy pleads. “Oh, but I would.” He says the smile getting bigger. “You would do what?” I ask utterly confused and lost. “W-wendy and P-peter are courting! Hahaha!” Michael sputters on the floor. “What?” I ask. “Wendy and Peter are courting. Didn’t you hear?” John says holding his face as he holds in his laugh. “Hear what?” I ask. “Hear Peter. And he barely knows what it means.” Finally fed up with being out of the loop I say, “Who is Peter and why can’t I see him?!”
