Chapter 4 - Secrets

Myles' POV

Yesterday a family moved in next door. They seem quite friendly and caring people. When I was walking home yesterday, I spotted Briar through the window. My god, she's pretty. I met her today as well. My family & I are going to their party. Briar is a really nice girl, unlike Abi. Abi is my girlfriend, she can be quite mean on the outside but once you actually get to know her she can have a soft side. We do fight alot and half the time the arguments are so pointless. Abi has been quite upset these past few days, as her dad is really sick and is in hospital, so I'm trying to keep her happy. I thought bringing her to the Nolet's party might cheer her up and maybe she could even become friends with Briar. As I get ready for the party, I hear knock on the door. I open it and Abi is standing there, all dressed up ready to go to the party. I decided to go to the party early with Abi since my family were going to take a bit longer.

Briar's POV

I was quite disappointed to see Myles & Abi kissing. I think I might have a crush on Myles, even though I just met him today. I start to get ready for the party. After taking a shower, I put on a short black dress, straighten my hair, apply some make-up and put on my black heels. I hear the bell ring so I go and answer it. There, standing at the door is Myles, but sadly his arm is around Abi. But I don't let my feelings get the better of me. "Hi! Glad to see you could make it with Abi??." "oh yea, Briar, this is my girlfriend Abi" "hi" I said, as we had met earlier when I was handing out the invitations. "please make yourself comfortable and ill see you later, cause I have a few more things to do" I say and rush back into my room. "by the way, you look great!" Myles shouted as I ran off. Why am I still sad that they're dating? I have seen them kissing and I barely know Myles. I need to get my head straight. I texted Jessy and she said that her and her family were about to arrive. I couldn't wait to talk to Jessy, she had seemed quite nice and she looked really friendly. Abi on the other hand sounded kind, but there was something about her that just didn't seem good. As if she didn't like me or something. I shouldn't judge a book by its cover anyways, maybe she's just having a bad day or something. The doorbell rang and I literally flew down the stairs, excited to see Jessy. "Hey!!" "Hi!" replied Jessy. "You look breath taking" "thanks, you too" i say. "come in, we can talk properly inside" i say and invite her into the house. We both get ourselves a coke each and sit down on the sofa. As we were chatting along, i couldn't help but notice Abi and Myles making out in the corner. "um..Briar?? Are you listening to me??" Says Jessy and i suddenly snap out of my thoughts. "why are you staring at Abi & Myles?" I suddenly go red and don't know what to say. "um...you see, uh...i was making sure..that you know...um.." "you like Myles Erlick don't you?" Says Jessy with a big smirk on her face. "no, i don't!" I snap back. "then tell me why you were staring at them?" ........ "okay! Fine, maybe i do a bit.." "i knew it!" She says nearly jumping out if her seat. "shush!!! They might hear us!!" I whispher-shout. "you know they're dating though?" She asks "sadly" i reply. "i actually have good news for you then, i heard that they are on the verge of breaking up. They have been fighting a lot recently and especially in dance" she said "really yes!! And wait you dance??" I say "yea, why?" " cuz I dance and I'm looking for a studio to dance at right now!" "really that's great, I'll Allain that you're interested in joining and Abbey too" "OMG thanks so much" "no problem" she said

If you really like Myles you should go talk to him suggested Jessy. "really?, but what about Abi?" I questioned. "oh that's easy, ill take care if her. You just focus on Myles" "ok, I guess it could work"

I walk over to Myles after Jessy pulls out Abi to talk to her. "hi" I say nervously. "by the way did I tell you that you look stunning" " thanks I say, not so bad yourself" I say with a smile. The rest of the hour wad spent with Myles. Its so easy to talk to him. The hour was filled with laughing, joking around and fun. It was magical.

Myles' POV

Briar is a very nice girl. We actually have alot in common and I soon found out that she was going to the same school as me and was thinking on joining the same dance studio as me. I completely forgot about Abi when I was talking to Briar and did i mention that she looked so hot. I couldn't stop talking to her. I could talk to her basically about everything and she wouldn't care as along ad we were talking. If I was talking to Abi I had to be careful with what I was saying, as she can start really pointless arguments. I just feel like myself when I'm with Briar. I don't know, but there's just something special about her. But for now, I have to foucs on Abi, she's going through a really tough time and I'm the only support she has. After an hour of chatting with Briar, I decided it was best to go home, as everyone was leaving. But to be honest, I didn't want to leave, I wanted to continue talking to Briar until the end of time. Ok, maybe a bit of exaggeration but you get the idea. After a while, I left with Abi

Briar's POV

As i was talking to Myles, Abi kept on glaring at me from behind Myles as she was talking to Jessy. After everyone left, I got a text from Abi saying "you better watch out". What's that supposed to mean? I didn't do anything wrong. Did I? I'm not scared if Abi anyways. If she should be scared of anyone I should be me. I texted Jessy saying, thank you because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have been talking to Myles.

Hi Guys! Hope you enjoyed this Chapter. Wow, that was a lot of words. The most i have written so far. The drama hasn't even started yet. What do you think Abi meant by "you better watch out"?? I know my writing is bad, but I try. Thanks for reading this chapter.
