Chapter 16 - Tell him

Myles' POV

I rush into one of the rooms because i heard some noises coming from that direction. When i get there i hear some music playing but there isnt anyone there. I search the room and i find a bag and a phone.  I turn it on and a selfie of Jessy and Briar appears on the lock screen. I call Briar and tell her that i found Jessy's bag and phone and with that she rushes over.

Briar's POV

Myles just called me and said that he found Jessy's stuff. I start to worry because she never goes anywhere without her phone. Where could she possibly go? She spends all her spare time at dance so its unlikely for her to be anywhere else.

"I heard some noises so i rushed it but there was no one here" said Myles

"I asked a few people on the way but no one has seen her since rehearsals" i say

"Should we call the police??" Asks Myles getting a bit more worried

"I guess, there isnt much we can do now" i say

When the police arrive we tell them what we know and they tell us that they will contact Jessy's parents if they have any news. I feel partly guilty that it was my fault since i wasnt there with her. Im usually always with her, since we cling like magnets, but i wasnt. I could have at least called for help or did something to prevent it. But i wasnt there.

I kinda feel a bit freaked out since Jessy usually can protect herself very well, way better than i could ever. What if they come for me next? Thinking about it more in dept just makes me more and more frightened by the situation. I sit on the bench and tears start to fall down my cheeks. I am quite vulnerable because of my height. I sit there and cry for a few minutes until i feel a strong pair of arms wrap around me. I look up and its Myles. I feel so safe in his arms for some reason.

"Whats wrong?" He asks with the look of worry in his eyes

"Im scared Mylo"

"Of what??" He asks

"That i'll be next" i say, my eyes darting around the room in case i am

"They wont touch you, i promise Lil B, if you want i can come with you wherever you want to go"

"Thanks Mylo"

"Come on i'll bring you and Abbey home" he says getting up and motioning me to follow him while i nod my head and text Abbey

*when they get home*

"So you and Myles huh?" Asks Abbey with a huge smirk on her face

"What? No..." I say, i can feel my face getting redder by the minute

"Well, just so you know he's totally into you"

"You think?" I say getting a bit curious

"Its so obvious!! You like him back dont you?"

"Uh.....yea.." I say and smile slowly forming on my face

"Well, tell him!!! You guys are super cute together"

"I guess i should" i reply with a smile

I go into my room, change into my pjs and turn on my phone. As i look through my photos, all i can think about is Jessy. I hope shes ok. She was my very first friend here and probably my closest. She has been with my all the way, even if it was only a few days so far. She was my best friend. I would be lost without her. As im deep in my thoughts i hear my phone buzz. I look and its a message from an anonymous number.

It said: i have Jessy, if you tell anyone shes dead. If you want her back do as i say.......
