Chapter 5 - Dance

Briar's POV

Last night was amazing. I finally had a long conversation with Myles but I'm still unsure about what Abi sent me. I didn't do anything to her and its not like Myles and I were making out. We were just talking as friends, of course..

Jessy invited me to CDC so I decided to go check it out with Abbey today. I hope I fit in. What if all the dancers there are way better than me? What if I'm not at a high enough standard? I guess, ill just have to find out. I packed my dance clothes and shouted Abbey's name so she would know I'm ready to go.

After a while, I hear a knock on the door and its Jessy. "Hey, are you ready?" She asks. "yea, I'm just waiting for Abbey" I said "ok,...so how was last night?" She questioned. "it was amazing! Myles is such a nice boy plus he's soo hot, so I guess that makes him perfect!" I squeal. "uh...calm down there, he still had a girlfriend..don't get too excited" "yea yea. I know, by the way Abi sent me a text yesterday after you went home saying I should better watch out, what do you think she meant" I said a bit concerned "oh its nothing, Abi is just very overprotective of Myles as he's all she had got, and don't worry she is just an insecure girl" she said. "oh thanks" I say and give her a hug. At that moment we heard Abbey scream "I'm ready!" So we all start walking to CDC.

Myles POV

I just couldn't stop thinking about Briar last night. After we went home from the party, Abi kept on kissing me and talking about how we would be together forever and forever. Sometimes she can be really annoying and clingy, and I don't know if I can hold in my annoyance anymore.

I start to make my way to dance and as I do I see Briar, Jessy and Abbey making their way in. "Hey!" I say. "Hi" they all say in unison. "so, what are you doing here?" I ask. "Abbey and I were just thinking if joining CDC" replies Briar with a smile on her face. Seeing her smile brought a smile to my own face for some reason. "oh that's great Briar! I'm sure you'll get in for sure" I reply. Then Abbey started coughing loudly like she wanted to get my attention or something. Oh yea, Abbey is here too. I probably seem rude now. "um...yea...you too Abbey" "seriously, you forgot about me! You walk in and all your attention is on Briar" she say and Jessy and herself break into fits of laughter, while Briar blushes and I just awkwardly look around.

Briar's POV

We met Myles at CDC and the minute he saw me, he started smiling. I wonder if it means something??. He totally forgot about Abbey, and he couldn't stop talking about how I would get in! It was really awkward and he seemed embarrassed.

Finally, Jessy broke the awkwardness by dragging us to Allain and explaining why we wanted to join. Allain said he was happy to let us join. While Myles went to get ready for dance. "Just follow Jessy and she will explain everything to you" said Allain. So we thanked him and started to change into our dance outfit. I wore a white flowy top with black leggings and tied my hair into a ponytail. I also applied a bit if natural make-up just to look a bit presentable, as this was going to be my first impression in front of everyone.

As i made my way into the studio, i saw Myles and he waved at me, but sadly Abi was beside him glaring at me. She's quite creepy, i thought to myself. "ok everyone!" Said Allain. "Today we have two new dancers joining us, Briar and Abbey. I want everyone to preform a solo on the spot and then finally we will see Abbey and Briar dance. So first up we have Abi!"

As Abi takes the dance floor she glares at me once again. "don't worry, Abi is one of the weakest dancers here" whispered Jessy so no one would hear. As she preformed her solo she messed up quite alot and she couldn't do much. Next up were other dancers who were quite good. I couldn't exactly remember their names but I could also remember how amazing they were. Next was Jessy and she did fantastic. As she finished her solo I gave her a high five and told her how good she was. Next up was Myles, I was really curious to see him dance as I had never seen him dance before. As he took the dance floor my mouth started to form an O-shape. He was such a powerful dancer and very technical too. After Abbey went it was soon my turn.

As the music started to play I started throwing out all the tricks I had. As I was dancing I could see everyone was shocked at what could do. I threw out most of my best tricks and by the time I was finished dancing everyone stood up and started cheering for me. I walked back to my space with a big grin on my face knowing I had did well. "OH my god, Briar that was amazing!" Screamed Jessy. "thanks, you did great too" I said. "that was fantastic Briar and Abbey! We would be more than happy to let you join our studio" said Allain and with that he left.

The rest of the day went better than I had expected and everyone kept on coming up to me to tell me how well I was doing. Later on that day, Allain told that he would be picking duets for an upcoming competition. Jessy insisted on me working with Myles, but I was pretty sure he would prefer working with his girlfriend.

Myles' POV

Briar is such an amazing dancer. Half the tricks she did, some of the most talented dancers here cant do! Allain told us that there will be an upcoming competition and he would be picking people to preform together. I was secretly hoping to be paired up with Briar as she would be great to work with and hoping i would not be paired with Abi, even though she is my girlfriend. She is still the weakest dancer here, even if she doesn't like to admit it.

"ok, listen up everyone!" I have decided to pick two of our strongest dancers to do the duet and two to people are ".....Myles and Briar! I'm sure you two will work great together as you are both very powerful dancers, from I have seen today I'm sure you wont let me down" he said. Yes!! I get to work with Briar. Why am I so excited? I have a girlfriend and I just met Briar a day or two ago.

Briar's POV

I'm so excited. This is my first chance to prove to the team that I belong here and its my first competition where I will be representing the whole team PLUS I'm working with Myles!! This is all too good! I can't wait to start this duet!

Hi guys! Hope you liked this chapter. I know its not that much of an interesting chapter but it will all soon lead up to the plot. I'm sorry for being a bad writer but I hope this was ok. I try to do the best I can.
