Chapter 22 - Everyone Has Secrets

Myles' POV

I knock on Briar's front door waiting for an answer, and no, i'm not waiting for Briar to answer. I was going to do something special for her, but i needed a few things from her room. You see, Briar hasn't been quite herself since yesterday. She has been acting really strangely, i dont know why but i just needed a bit of time to figure it out, i thought i could cheer her uo by doing something nice for her.

As i'm searching through her room, i see a crumpled piece of paper. I pick it up and flatten it out, curosity getting the better of me. At the top of the page it said:

How To Break Myles Erlick's Heart

I didn't need to read anymore, i knew what was going on. I get out of her house as swiftly as possible, fuming with anger.

I run to CDC, knowing that she would be there. I see Devon and Tanner so i ask them i they had seen Briar. They quickly shake their heads no so i run to every room, checking if Briar was inside. I finally find her, stretching with Jen and Shannon. 

"Briar, can i please talk to you alone.." i say

Briar's face lights up the minute she hears my voice, but as she turns around to look at me her smile instantly disappears.

Jen and Shannon get the message and scurry out if the room, grabbing all their stuff while whispering amongst themselves. 

"Mylo, what's wrong?." She asks

"You don't know Briar? Wow, i'm so suprised?" I say in a sarcastic tone

"What don't i know? I'm really confused..." 

"Oh i dont know, maybe the fact that you're a big liar and a cheater!!" I shout

Her expression quickly changes and an annoyed look spreads across her face.

"I have never cheated on you, i don't know what you are talking about!" She says, slightly raising her voice

"Then what's this?!?" I scream, throwing the page onto the ground 

"And to think i had planned something.." i mutter, but loud enough for him to hear

I wasn't able to handle it anymore so i storm out of the room. I was going to do something i regret if i stayed there longer..

I can't believe it, all this time she was using me. I was just a tool in her little joke. I see Shannon, Jen, Devon and Tanner all standing near the room where we argued, which shocked expressions on all of their faces. The minute i storm out, the two girls rush to Briar with worried looks. 

I'm honestly at a loss of words right now, i can't believe Briar lied to me. I trusted her, i cared for her but most of all, i loved her..

I fell for her stupid tricks. The way she smiled, she way she laughed, they way she would look into my eyes with her bright blue eyes. I fell for them all, i thought they were real. 

Its hurts, to know the one person you truly care for, doesn't feel the same..its hurts..

Briar's POV

I was left speechless in the room after Myles went. I pick up the piece of paper, my whole body shaking. As i unfold it, i already know what it is. How could i be so stupid? I wrote it on a page and left it in my room. I feel like such an idiot, he was bound to find it sooner or later. He probably skipped the last part as on the bottom it said: To get Jessy back..

Maybe this was a good thing..in a way. Since I'm pretty sure that our relationship is over, either that or he practically hates me to bits. As much as it hurts to say that "Bryles" is over, its a huge relief to say Jessy is safe. I just hope that i get to see her properly, like face to face, not kissing my boyfriend or ex-boyfriend...

As i stand there, lost in my own little world of thoughts, Jen & Shannon rush into the room. Pulling me into a tight embrace

"I-i can't... breathe" i say, barely able to get the words out from lack of oxygen

"Sorry" They say on unison with sheepish looks on their faces, which i face at.

"So..what went on with you and Myles?" Asked Shannon

"Well, i guess you can say Bryles is offically over.." i reply, on the brink of tears, choking out the last part

They both stood there, their mouths wide open, trying to process what i had just said

"I started shipping you two from the very start, and then this!?!" Says Jen

"I know, you and Myles were literally couple goals" Says Shannon

"Thanks, but it can't mean much now, can it?" I say, it feels wierd to know that Myles and I aren't on good terms. I really want to tell him everything and make everything the way it used to be, but i can't for Jessy sake.

"I really have to go" 

As i try the leave the building, i feel someone's hands cover my eyes and i they guide me to some place. 

"What are you doing!?!" I shout

"Shh, its me Brooklyn, theres just something i need to do.." She replied. How reassuring...i thought to myself.

As she takes away her hands, i see a well decorated room before me. It was brightly decorated with balloons and posters. I see Abbey well dressed up and basically everyone on the team.

"Suprise!!" They shout

"Its not my birthday!!" I shout back

"We know, Myles said you were acting strange so he organised this for you so, hoping you would cheer up" said Abbey. It broke what was left of my heart to hear that he went through this and i just had to do this.

Suddenly, Myles stormed into the room. Everyone expect, Tanner, Devon, Jen and Shannon who had just ushered into the room looked quite puzzled. From what i saw, the four looked like they were trying to stop him but obviously failed in doing so. 

"This party is over.." He said in a loud and booming voice. I have never seen him react this way before, it kind of scares me to see him like this..

Everyone starts talking amongst themselves, probably questioning what had just happened.

"I said this party is over!!" Shouts Myles, startling quite a few people.

"And its not the only thing thats over.." he says slowly walking over to me until we were about a metre apart

He points to me and then back to himself and says "We're also over"

A tear slowly makes its way down my cheek and i can see through all the anger in Myles, there was a hurt and disappointed look in his eyes

I couldn't stay in the room any longer, i run out of it, seeing all eyes on me and Myles. Tears falling as i ran into the pitch black darkness leaving everyone and everything behind...

Finally, i promised a long update so here it is! I know its not that long compared to what other people write, but its longer that what i usually write. Sorry if its really bad, i apologise. Hope you liked it anyways. xoxo XxStarzSkyxX
