Chapter 7 - The Truth

Briar's POV

Jessy and I were literally jumping with excitement as we waited for Myles. Myself for Myles and Jessy for me of course. I couldn't believe that Myles had asked me to hang out with him, I thought he'd never ask. It took me forever to get ready. I just couldn't find the perfect outfit. I wanted to look casual but then again have that dressy element in it as well. I was nearly shaking with excitement as I waited for Myles. For some strange reason, Myles hasn't turned up yet. I would never think Myles would be late.

"Maybe he's just taking his time" said Jessy trying to make the situation better

"I suppose" I mumble

As the time passes, I decide to check my phone since I was too busy getting myself ready to even glance at my phone. Suddenly I see I have a new message from Myles. It said: Hey, sorry but I cant make it. Something important came up but I hope we can hang out some other time.

"What!" I suddenly say, maybe a bit too loud as everyone turned to stare at me

"Everything ok?" Asks Jessy full of concern

"Myles cant hang anymore, he apparently has something more important than hanging out with me" I say full of disappointment. I didn't think that Myles would bail on me like that. I was really looking forward to it.

"Well..there's always next time" she's says with a sympathetic smile on her face.

"I guess..."

"You know what, Myles just turned down an one in a lifetime to hang out with an amazing girl. But I know what will cheer you up"

"Thanks, you really know how to lighten the mood and what will cheer me up??" I ask

"Shopping!!!"

"You know me too well" I say with a big smile

"of course I do. School is starting again next week so you need a few nice outfits to make that good first impression" she said

"well...what are you waiting for!!" I say full of excitement and with that we rush out and start to make out way to the shopping centre.

When we get there we just window shop for a while until I spot a dress. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was purple, knee length, lace dress.

"oooo, I really like it. Can I go and check it ok"

"sure"

As I walk into the store I find one my size and try it one. I walk out if the fitting rooms to show Jessy

"OMG! You...look.....AMAZING!!!" she says nearly frightening everyone in the store.

"really?" I say and turn to look at myself in the mirror and I have to admit I looked pretty good.

"of course! I will kill you with my own bare hands if you don't get it!"

"ha ha, ok then ill get it" I say as nearly everyone has taken at least one quick look at Jessy to see if she was ok, but I honestly don't blame them as she was literally shouting every word that came form her mouth

I quickly change back into my own clothes and pay for the dress. After a hour or two of scavenging for clothes another 6 packed bags if clothes arrived on my hands. As I am paying for yet another bundle of clothes, I spot Abi! And wait...is that Myles with her!?! I cant believe it. I thought it was important. As Jessy and I walk out of the store (after paying for the clothes, of couse), I nudge Jessy and point at them.

"Is that....Myles!?!" She exclaims

"shhhhhh, they might hear us!!"

"no shhhh! He deserves a piece of my mind for ditching you"

"Jessy we were only going to hang out its not that important"

"um...yes it is!" And with that she drags me over to Myles and Abi and "accidentally" bumps into them

Myles' POV

I am with Abi shopping for dance wear. It is torture!! What makes this so interesting!?! Its the most boring thing anyone could EVER do and they have to find the exact colour and try on every single thing and they want opinions and if you give an honest opinion they go ballistic!

While we are shopping I suddenly bump into someone.

"oh, I'm so sorry please excuse my accident" I say as I slowly look to see who i bumped into. It was Jessy and Briar!!! What do I do? I told Briar it was something important!

"oh Jessy, Briar......hi....."

"oh...hi" says Jessy, giving me an evil death glare while Briar lets out a quiet hi giving me a small smile.

"so...Myles...this was your important thing???" Jessy asks with that evil death glare once again

"um....yes....." I say as I gulp. My god, Jessy can be very intimidating

"wait, what's going on??, what does she mean Myles" asks Abi with her eyes full of suspicion

Wow, this got awkward fast...

"um...well you see I was supposed to..you know...hang out with Briar later....but then you see.....uh....you asked me to come shopping with you....so here I am...." I say hoping Abi won't get angry

"Well I'm pretty sure you sent Briar a text saying that you couldn't hang with her because you had something important and by the looks of it that isn't very important to me" said Jessy pointing at Abi while saying that

I wonder how Briars feeling. She hasn't said anything but hi during this whole conversation

Abi gasps and says "excuse me but what do you mean by that!!! If course in important I'm his girlfriend!! No surprise he didn't want to hang out with the girl who has barely even talked. She's probably too scared to face anyone"

The minute Abi said that Briar eyes suddenly filled with rage and anger

"hi!! Just so you know I'm not scared. I just don't want to talk to people like you! And btw just so you know you're the WEAKEST dancer in the whole of CDC. Even the younger kids can do twice as much ad you can. And for your information I don't think that relationship of yours will be lasting any longer, I've heard things." Briar snaps back with a big smirk on her face

"ok, I don't want to be near you anymore to bye!" And with that herself and Jessy go, leaving Abi stunned.

I had no idea what to say.

"Myles...is this true??..." She asks me nearly on the verge if tears

"no...I'm pretty sure our relationship is rock solid and Briar probably didn't even mean half the things she said, she's a nice girl at heart" I say, even though I knew everything Briar had said was nothing but the sad truth, but I wasn't going to stand there while Abi has a massive breakdown in public. I honestly dont know why I'm still putting up with this...maybe its time to move on...

Hi! I hope you liked this chapter. Sorry, but I'm not really good at things like comebacks and stuff like that. I'm just used to being nice and all. Anyways, back to the story. Should Myles move on??..
