Chapter 21 - Clues To Everything...

Briar's POV

What!?! It was just like a bomb had exploded inside my head. Knowing she was alive, was a huge relief but she was kissing Myles. Not that great of a feeling.

"I found this in my pocket after she ran away"

I open the door as fast as i could grabbing the piece of paper in his hand. It said:

Don't do it Briar. I've already escaped.

What, this changes everything..

I can finally be with Myles, i can go back and live life, but something is telling me that she's lying. I dont know, i just have this feeling...

"Mylo...thank you!!" I say hugging Myles instantly. As i hug him, i feel a single drop of water run my cheek. As much as i love this relationship, it has to end to matter what. But what scares me the most, is going to be breaking the news to him. I was going to make the most of every single moment possible.

I know i'm limited on time right now so i had to act fast. It isn't easy knowing you have to break away from that one person you think you will love no matter what.

Myles' POV

You might be thinking now, why on Earth were you kissing your girlfriend's best friend. To be honest, i don't know. I was kind of in shock, that number one she was still alive and number two that she was kissing me for some reason.

As Briar hugs me, i feel some kind of ominous feeling and i don't like it. Something is up with Briar and i'm going to figure it out...

I start to feel something wet on my chest, i slightly tilt my head to see what but i end up seeing Briar crying.

"Bri, whats wrong?" I ask

She looks like she was about to tell me something, but she stopped.

"Nothing.." She says in a quiet tone and quickly wipes away the tears with her hand

"Bri..you know if you need someone i'm here right?" I say, i know she wanted to tell me something, but if she wasn't ready all i could do is remind her that i would always be there for her no matter what.

I glance at the clock in her room to see that time has passed so fast already, it was 7 already.

"I'm sorry Bri but i have to go"

"Ok..." She says with a look of dissapointment on her face

Briar's POV

I honestly don't want Myles to leave, i really need him right now but i just say "ok" not wanting to start anything

Myles pecks me on the lips before leaving with a look of concern written all over his face

Once Myles left, i buried my head in my arms and let out everything. I couldn't take it anymore. When i first got here, there was this Abi drama, but the minute that it's over, Jessy goes missing.... Who knows where she could be right now. Then i find Myles "cheating" on me, but then i find out that it was Jessy, my best friend who just wanted to give me a note telling me to follow my heart. As much as i want to believe her i can't. I had to do it, in case, my best friend's life was in my hands and i couldn't risk anything, which means sacrificing everything, even Mylo...

While i'm in the middle of my breakdown, i hear my phone buzz and i reach into my pocket and take it out. A new message, seriously?.. Someone please help me....

I open the message feeling all sorts of emotions, scared but curious, upset but angry, hurt but determined

It read:

You have two more days and don't even think about telling everyone. We are watching your every move...

Great, something to cheer me up, it's so reassuring to know people are watching everything i do! Yay! (Note the sarcasm)

I try to think about who would want to have revenge on me but i honestly can't think of anyone who would go to something this extreme, the first name that pops into my head is Abi but i dont think she would go this far. Yes, she is a bit creepy and scary at times but from what i know Abi wouldn't go for someone's life. Her own father is dying, why would she want to take another life away... I let out a sigh as i flop onto my bed

Two days was all i had left with Myles...
