Chapter 18 - Feelings

Briar's POV

Im sitting in my room and thinking about what i have to do next. This isnt going to be easy. I write down my plan on a plain white piece of paper and then put it somewhere that no one could ever find it. Whoever this person is, they are really messed up. They would go through all this trouble just to get revenge on me, but im too scared to tell anyone. They may just be trying to scare me by saying they will kill Jessy but i cant take any chances. I'll just have to do what they say.

Myles' POV

Briar has been very distant lately. Whenever i try to talk to her, she either walks away or simply ignores me as if i weren't even there. She doesn't seem to even interact with people anymore, whenever we have breaks she just sits on her own and gazes around. I guess losing her best friend really got to her. But i hope what im about to do next cheers her up. I've realised how much better my life is with Briar. No matter what the mood when I see Briar, my day seems to light up. I think i know what i was feeling during that hug now. Seeing her always brings a smile to me face. Hopefully this will work.

Briar's POV

As I'm scrolling through my Instagram feed, I hear my mother call my name. What could she possibly want with me? I walk don't the stairs grumpily and out of the corner of my eye, i see Myles. What could he possibly want with me now? I dont talk to anybody anymore, he should know that. Clearly agitated by the fact that he was here, i dont even bother to greet him and just stand there.

"Look, i've been meaning to tell you. And i have been thinking about it alot." He says. He looks really nervous. His plams are getting sweatier by the second and his feet are shuffling quite alot. 

"And??" 

"I dont know how to put it into words but.." He stops and hesitates for a moment as if he were regretting his decision 

"But?? Spit it out!"

"I like you Briar. I really do. From your beauty to your talent. Thats not the only thing i like about you, its your personality. You're different. Unlike anyone i have met before. You're kind, sweet and caring but at the same time you have that sass and could intimidate anyone with that glare of yours. You're insanely adorable, especially considering your height. I could go on for ages. That how much i like you Lil B. I really like you." 

I couldn't speak for a minute or two. I was just shock. I stood there, frozen as if i were a statue. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. He actually liked me. He liked me! Me! Briar Nolet. Out of all the girls in this world, he liked me. 

When i finally got back to reality, i saw Myles open the door, just above to leave. 

"Wait Mylo!" I shout and soon as i kind of figured out what had just happened. 

"Wha--" I cut him off by pressing my lips onto his. I wasn't able to think or anything else so i just followed my heart. The kiss didn't deepen but it was a gentle kiss. After we pull apart to breathe, i come face to face with Myles grinning from ear to ear. 

"I feel the same way" i say finally taking the courage to speak.

"Then i guess i know what i have to do next.." He says which spreads a wide grin across my face. He is actually going to ask me!?!

"Will you Briar Nolet be my girlfriend?" He says his dreamy blue eyes gazing into mine. 

"Yes!!" I scream and with that he picks me up and spins me around. As his eyes meet mine, we kiss once more before he slowly put me down. As much as i want this moment to last forever it doesn't. 

"I'll come over to bring you to dance tomorrow, ok?" He says, slowly stroking my hair.

"Ok" i say. Planting a small kiss on his cheek before he walks out the front door

But what i had to do next was going to kill me on the inside. Tears stream down my face just at the thought of it. 

I had to break Myles Erlick's heart.
