"Then he held my hand. HE HELD MY MOTHER FUCKING HAND!" Emma told me over skype.
"Woa. Getting all the boys." I said. I could practically see her blushing. "I think he likes you."
"Really?"
"Yeah. He held your hand, remember?"
"He also whipped a volleyball at me." She pointed out.
"Sometimes boys are mean to girls they like. Or it was an accident." I told her.
"Well, I hope he likes me."
"So you like him...?"
"You know me too well."
"Lmao. Well, have fun with ya boi Luke."
"Your so weird." Emma replied.
"I'm aware." I answered.
My bedroom door opened. Alex walked in.
"Talking to your imaginary friends again?"
"They aren't imaginary, they are internet friends. And for the record, internet friends are better than friends you see every day."
"You mean real friends?" Alex scoffed.
"Internet friends are real friends, idiot. Being real doesn't mean they are physically with you; it means they are mentally with you. My internet friends are great. I can tell them anything. They get me. It doesn't matter if there is a ocean in between us. Or if I'm hours ahead of them." I started to rant. "If anything, all this distance makes a relationship stronger, and every day the urge to hold my internet friends in my arms grows stronger and stronger."
"Whatever." Alex walked out.
I walked back to see Emma with her face in her hands. She was crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked, concerned.
"That- that was beautiful. I love you so much. A-and one day, I will be in your arms." She sniffled.
"I love you, too. One day." I smiled.
"You made me cry."
"Is that a record? I think I should get a reward." I said.
"The only people that have made me cry are my par-" Emma cut herself off. "Never mind." She looked down.
"Sorry." I told her.
Emma looked up. "You shouldn't be sorry. You've made my life one hundred percent better."
"Aww, now I'm going to cry." I laughed.
She chuckled. "So, you wanna play skywars or something?"
I started to launch minecraft. "Sure, if you really want me to school you again."
"You wish. Let's face it, we are both noobs." Emma laughed.
"I don't know. Your pretty good." I told her.
She got up from her bed and bowed dramatically. "Thank you, thank you. I might be better at pvp "-she winked-" but your way better at building than me."
I fluttered my eyes and pretended to blush. "Well, thanks. Would you like to interview me?"
We both burst out laughing. "What the hell are we doing with life?" Emma asked.
"Good question. I don't know, to be honest, but whatever it is, let's keep it up." I said.
"Just talk to you the whole day? Can do."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
"Ok." She replied. "Whatever floats your boat."
