"So they decided to talk somewhere other than my tiny house." Emma told me.
"What does your house look like?" I asked. We were talking alone in a call.
"Small." Emma looked down.
"Just give me your address and I'll look at it on Maps." I tried.
"Uh, ok. Sixty-nine Meme Street."
I laughed. "Seriously."
"It's ten Smith Street." Emma told me.
"Ok." I googled it. It was tiny. One story, the house had peeling red paint and a almost flat roof. There were a few small windows.
"So what your house look like?" Emma asked.
I told her my address.
"Eh it's French. How the fuck do you spell that." Emma complained. Then- "Holy house. That's giant."
"Yeah..." I suddenly felt guilty. I quickly changed the subject. "So... How's Luke?"
"So say that every day." Emma whined. "Why don't you just talk to him yourself?"
"Oh? I was interested. "Give me his number and I will."
"I DIDN'T MEAN THAT." Emma screeched.
"You scared I would steal him from you?"
"Yeah. Your to pretty, boo." She complained.
I groaned. "Not that word again, please."
Emma's face lit up on the screen. "I know your weakness."
"You do."
"I would use that against you. Good thing I like you."
We laughed together. "Your so cheesy." I told her.
"Why, thank you." Emma grinned.
Just then Felix limped into my room.
"Hey, boy." I scratched his ear.
"Can I see him?"
"Yeah, sure." I gently lifted him up into my lap.
"Holy cat. How old is he?" Emma asked.
"Oh, only twenty-one."
"JESUS. THATS LIKE ALMOST TWICE MY AGE, DUDE." Emma exclaimed.
"Twice your age is twenty-eight. dumbass."
"I said almost. Smh."
We giggled.
"He's cute. I wish I had a pet... Besides the birds outside my window that think it is a great thing to chirp all morning."
"Haha. Rip."
"Yeah... So, what's been going on when we don't Skype?" Emma questioned.
"Well, I got invited to a party that is next Saturday." I replied.
"Oh? You going with anyone?"
"Nah. It's just one of my friend's parties. She invited all of our friends group... So I guess I might end up talking to some cute dude."
"Well, have fun. Mark your calendars, everybody." Emma said sarcastically.
I laughed. The clock downstairs chimed as it struck four o'clock.
"Hey, it's six now. Yay." Emma said sarcastically."
I laughed. "I wanna get a snack but in to lazy..."
"Well. Sounding like me, huh?"
"Yeah, your a bad influence." I explained.
"Ah, I see."
We burst out laughing.
