January 5th
Emma
I waited for the slam of car doors outside. My parents were going to talk somewhere other than the house. I had suggested this to my mom and she finally agreed. Bang. I sighed with relief as I heard the engine start. Then the car zoomed out of the tiny driveway.
I turned from my small, only window and grabbed my laptop, getting ready to Skype with Alice. We hopped into a call.
"'Sup?" I asked.
"Nothing much. You talked to that cute boy at all?" Alice asked.
"Luke? Umm... Not really."
"Well what's that mean? I want details, Emma."
"Sometimes I don't know if your my friend or my enemy." I told her.
"Let's go with the first one." Alice replied, hastily changing the subject back to Luke. "So...?"
"Well, he, uh, left his number in my locker."
She squealed. "Really?"
"Yes, really." I blushed.
Alice's face looked so happy I didn't want to ruin it, though I could feel my face burning red.
"Aww, don't be embarrassed."
"I'm not." I lied. "So, build battle?"
"Sure." Alice said. "Hey, can Clare join?"
"Yeah, sure." I said, adding her in.
"Hey." Alice said.
"Wassup." I asked.
"Hey! Nothing really, eh." Clare replied.
"Well, we are gonna play some build battle on Hypickle." I said.
"Oh my lord." Alice replied.
Clare giggled. "Hypickle.
"Y'know, like a high pickle?" I joked.
"You are..." Alice trailed off.
We made a party and joined a game. The theme was doghouse.
"Crap." I remarked.
"Oh." Was Clare's response.
Alice was quiet.
"Help, she seems to have entered try hard mode." I said.
A muffled laugh was heard from Alice's end.
I glanced at her face. She was staring at her screen. I decided to make a hellhound in a dark-ish house. I looked at the supplies I'd need.. Nether brick, nether rack, quarts, black wool, white wool, red wool, yellow wool.
I set the floor as nether rack, built the sides of the house out of nether brick, and the roof out of quarts stairs. The dog was black, with a red spiked color, and yellow eyes. It looked like trash but I didn't care. I was just adding in the teeth as the time ran out.
"Woo." Clare commented.
"I didn't get to finish!" Alice exclaimed.
"Oh god." I remarked.
We saw Clare's build first. There was grass and a wooden dog house, the dog made out of wool. It got a good from me.
After a while mine came up.
"What the hell." Alice said.
"Yeah, hell." I told her.
Clare laughed.
Alice's showed up last.
There was a grass floor, trees placed perfectly around, the dog house mad of red stained clay and quarts. The dog was brown with black spots, and adorable. I voted epic.
"What do you mean, you didn't finish?" I asked.
She smiled. "Yeah, I didn't get to put enough bonemeal."
"Oh. My. God." I sighed.
"I'd call this finished." Clare giggled.
"Me too." I replied. "Alice, you can go."
"Wait until I win, then I will."
"I'm pretty sure your gonna, you can leave now." I said sarcastically.
"Haha, no, she'll be in last." Clare commented.
I snorted. "I fucking wish. After this I think I'm going to go praise Satan and ask him to take me away from Alice."
Silence.
"Uhh." Alice said.
"No comment." Clare said.
"Let's hope that's sarcasm." Alice worried.
"You guys are so gullible." I laughed in disbelief. "If I was taken away from Alice my life would be boring. Better, but boring."
"Hey!" Alice yelled. She was then told to quiet down.
I laughed along with Clare.
