Ch. Fifteen: Final Fate

Flash Back Emma's Pov:

"So basically I have to make a decision that can change the fate of another dimension?" Michel said. "Yep that basically sums it up." Jordan said. Michel was standing there thinking before he spoke again. "I'll do it." He said. "Ah thanks goodness." I said relived. "On one condition." Michel said. "Oh great now what?" Julia said. "I want to talk to that blonde girl." Michel said pointing to me. "In private." He said. "Yeah... Not gonna happen. I don't have a good feeling about this." Julia said. "I don't either. After all we just met him." I said. "I'll go." I said. "You sure?" Abby asked. "I'm sure. Besides it's Xander's friend, what could happen?" I said before following Michel.

Emma's Pov:

I really had no idea what I was thinking. Well that's not completely true. I know that I'm trusting a person I just met, from another dimension, who happens to be a dragon prince. If I die, I don't want to see Julia say I told you so. Michel led me down a corridor and into a room. There was books everywhere so I could easily tell that it was a library. He turned back and locked the doors. 'Uh oh'' I thought. Then I remembered that this was Xander's friend. "Come right this way." Michel said leading me to a fire place with some chairs already set out. We both sat down opposite of each other. "You know, dragons have a very good senses." Michel said. "Like a dog?" I asked and he nodded. "I suppose like a dog. After all dragons and dogs can both sense emotions." Michel said.

"Where are you going with this?" I asked. "Well I have chosen you, a person who isn't a Fate member, to talk to in private, led you down a bit far from your friends, and locked you in a room with me and I do not sense any fear from you. I am quite intrigued. May I know how this is so?" Michel asked. "Well I just remind myself that your Xander's childhood friend and not to judge people on appearances." I said. "People change." Michel said. "Xander was here like a month ago, he would know if I would be in danger if I was alone with you and would have stopped it." I said confidently.

"People can change over long times like five years or short times like two weeks. What if I'm someone who changed in that short amount of time?" Michel asked. "I know that you are trying to scare me, so cut it out. What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked. "Why are you here?" He asked. "Um... because you told me to follow you." I said. "No, I mean, why are you even in this dimension? I understand Xander being here because he was showing them how to get here, and everyone else is Fate members, but you don't fit in anywhere. So why are you here?" Michel asked. "I am close to Abby, she's the girl with white hair and wolf ears and a tail, before she knew she was a Fate. In fact, even after she found out she was a Fate, she let me live with her because I would have other wise had to move. She had always been there for me and I came to be there for her just in case something went wrong. I don't know how much I would be of help if something did go wrong but I would try to help at least." I said and I spoke the truth.

"Well I don't sense that you're lying...." Michel said. "Okay so I need to ask you about something else." Michel said. "Okay shoot." "Am I really a Fate member?" Michel asked and that caught me in surprise. "I actually don't know for sure. Xander just said that you are the last Fate member. I guess no one thought to ask him how he knows that." I said. "You know... I had a dream that you would all show up. Well it's more of someone telling me this would happen." Michel said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I was, in my dream, in a strange room with nine people I've never seen before. They all looked so different. The one who I felt a pull to was the guy with the purple hair. They told me you would all come and tell me this, and... that I am a Fate member. I put it off as nonsense until I heard them say it." Michel explained. "Well the nine people must be the nine Fate members. The purple hair guy must be the Mind Control Fate, and since you're the Mind Control Fate you feel that pull. That room you were in was probably the council room of the Fates." I explained.

"How do you know all this? I thought you weren't a Fate?" Michel asked. "We talked about it in school." I said. "Okay then. Let's get back to your friends then. I can have one of my servants pack for me." Michel said standing up. "So you are coming?" I asked. "Yeah why?" Michel responded. "It's just that... aren't you going to say goodbye to your family and friends?" I asked him. "Well I was already going off on a trip right before you came. My parents and brother are at a important meeting right now. I can come back and tell them about all this later." Michel said and I nodded. "Okay then, show me the way." I said and he led us back to them.

Xander's Pov:

I was starting to get worried about Emma. I can never tell what Michel's intensions can be sometimes. 'Why did I let Emma go off with him by herself?' I thought. About ten minutes later, they came back. "Okay." Michel said. "Let's go to your dimension." "Sooooo.... How do we do this?" Lola asked. "Same way we got here, through a portal." I said. "Okay well make us a portal then." Julia said, more like commanded. "Okay okay, give me a second." I said. I casted a portal and we stepped through again. Then in a matter of seconds we were back. "Soooo.... Now what?" Emma asked. "Pizza party?" Samantha asked. "My place five tonight." Austin said. "Okay. Xander may if you want to give Michel a tour since you've known him the longest and know where he might want to go. I'm pretty sure the Fates will teleport him up tomorrow evening for his training so he can relax and get to know this place." Abby said. "Come on Abby, you're helping me bake cookies for you guys." Emma said. "Wait, I thought you were coming too." Austin asked. "Well I need to finish studying for school and all." Emma said. "Emma, I know school's important, but live a little. Besides today's what? Saturday? You can study tomorrow." Michel said. "Well.... I don't know." Emma said. "Don't worry about it. I can get her there." Abby said. "Oh no. Your yeti mind skills won't trick me." Emma said. "Then I'll use force. Come on, let's bake. Jordan you coming!" Abby asked. "Nah I need to do something." Jordan said. "Okay then, I'll met you back at the house." Abby said teleporting Emma and herself back to their house. Then we all went our separate ways. "Come on Michel, I'll show you the batting cages first." I said leading him off.
