Abby's Pov:
Last Ch:
"You'll really let me?" Jordan asked. "Of course." I said and before I could say something else, he kissed me.

Abby's Pov:
This Ch:

I was shocked to say the least, but I kissed back. Once we parted, I was breathing heavy. "I-I'm sorry. I just- I don't know what came over me. I just had the urge to do that for so long and- oh no you hate it. I'm sorry I-"
Jordan started to say but I cut him off. "I kissed back didn't I? That says something. And I did enjoy the kiss." I said.

"Thew. I would probably jump off a bridge than have to see you everyday if you didn't like that kiss." Jordan said and I laughed. "Well what are we then. Friends?" I asked. "How about girlfriend and boyfriend? It's okay if you say no." Jordan said. "I like boyfriend and girlfriend better than friends. But let's not tell the others just yet, okay?" I asked. "That's fine by me. But we need to tell them at some point." Jordan said.

"Can Fates date?" I asked. "Yes. Don't you know that the Nature Fate and Air Fate are married?" Jordan asked me. "No I did not. I didn't even know that Fates can get married." I said. "Yeah. All of the Fates are married. They just keep their work and home life separate." Jordan explained.

I just sat there taking this info in. "What's wrong Abby?" Jordan asked. "It's just that this is like a job, but the workers are chosen specially and don't have a true say in it. The workers train and do their job and still have an outside life." I said. "I never really thought about it that way. I guess this always felt like a blessing than a task." Jordan said.

"It's all about perspective. Like the half-full and half-empty cup of lemonade." I said. "I thought it was pitcher." Jordan said. "Again, perspective." I said and Jordan laughed. "Do you just have a book of life lessons that you read before you go to bed so you can remember all of this?" Jordan asked. "I think of it more as a novel." I said.

Then fireworks went off. "You know what? This may just be the best spot ever." I said. "Yeah it sure is." Jordan agreed. And I know we both weren't just talking about the fireworks.

Emma's Pov:

After Abby went off to change her dress, and meet up with Jordan, I walked around looking at the party. I knew that Jordan is/was going to 'accidentally' stumbled upon Abby's room because he may or may not have asked for my help. He wanted to ask Abby to be his girlfriend for quite awhile now.

I told him about the fireworks display and he said that that would be a perfect time. I told him not to wait until a few seconds before the display would begin because she wouldn't have time to answer him. I know he wants it to be perfect, but this ain't no fairy tale. Abby probably found some way to mess it up knowing her.

I walked around and saw Michel standing by the wall with a drink in his hand. I walked up to him to talk to him and saw none other than Amy feeling him up. And by the look on Michel's face, he doesn't seem to be enjoying it at all.

I walked to him and mouthed 'need help?' and pointed to Amy. Then he mouthed 'yes please' back. So I did something that I would probably not do I was thinking. "Um excuse me, but that's my boyfriend that your feeling up. So if you can be so kind as to get out of here, than I would appreciate that." I said to Amy and she looked mad.

"Or what?" She said. "I could call Abby to take you out again. Or in fact I could do it myself. Either way you would get pulverized." I said with a smirk. Amy huffed and left with her usual stuck up walk. "Man I hate her." I muttered. "Thanks Emma. I really couldn't stand her." Michel said. "But I never knew you liked me." He said which made me blush lightly. "I-I don't. It's just that I was helping you from the sl*t." I said.

"Nah. I bet you were jealous of her feeling me. I bet you wanted to do the same." Michel said. "I can't be jealous because I don't date cocky jerks." I said with a smirk. "Oh I see how it is." Michel said and I laughed, no I giggled. 'I fudging giggled? What the heck?'

"I'm getting some punch." I told Michel and I tried to leave, but he held onto my arm. "Listen Emma. I know you like me, and I may have feelings for you too. Meet me in my room at ten and we can talk." Michel said kissing me on the cheek and leaving me there, dazed. 'What the heck just happened?'

I need to find Abby. I started to talk off but stopped in place. I forgot that Jordan and Abby went off together. Well rats. 'I guess I can just wonder around for now. Or get some punch cause I'm actually really thirsty.'

I wondered around until I finally found one of the drink tables. I was about to grab some punch when I decide against it and grabbed a can of Brisk Tea instead. I don't trust the teenagers here. They could have put something in the punch and shake up the soda cans.

I cautiously opened my drink and took a sip of it. Then I walked around and looked at people as I past. Since people were talking so loud and with the music blasting, I didn't hear the fireworks at first. Then I walked outside and saw them going off. I leaded against the door frame and looked up into the night sky. Then I looked up to the roof and could barely see two tiny blogs.

I smiled knowing that they were up there. I then watched the fireworks. Abby always thought that I was the party animal, but I mainly go to keep the loners company. Tonight I don't think I can even do that since everyone has someone to hang out with, well except me.

"Hello Emma." A voice from behind said and I turned around. "Jenny? Hi." I said. "Whatca doing by your self?" Jenny asked. "Watching the fireworks. They're amazing aren't they?" I said and she nodded. "I thought you and Abby would be together." Jenny said. "She had plans she didn't even know of." I said pointing to the roof.

"So you knew about my brother's plan to ask her out?" Jenny said. "I helped him. No one knows how to get onto the roof." I said. "Well seeing as you don't have anyone with you right now, and since I haven't been back here in so long, want me to keep you company?" Jenny asked. "Would you?" I asked. "Only if you want me to." Jenny said. "Thanks Jenny. I'm usually the one keeping people company." I said.

"Well I am going to be living with you for a while until I can get a job and get a good lot of cash for a house or apartment." Jenny said. "You don't have to move out as soon as you get enough money to buy an apartment Jenny. I want you to at least graduate from high school first. I don't want you go through the same thing as your brother did with juggling work and school." I said.

"Well I guess you're right, but I just don't want to be a bother." Jenny said. "Jenny, Abby's grandma and grandpa had bought that house and made sure that no other payments need to be paid. Abby gave me the house and I don't have any payments to pay on it, so you can stay as long as you like. Even if I had to make payments, I wouldn't make you pay them. I mean come on, you had a harder life than I did and you deserve a break." I said.

"But Jordan went through so much more. If only I helped him." Jenny said
"You didn't know what was going on with him before a little while ago, besides you weren't old enough to be able to do anything." I said "Yeah I guess you're right." Jenny said. "And now the best thing to do is leave that all in the past and move on with life." I said.

"Wow you are really good at talks." Jenny said. "Thanks and if you ever get into a breakup, well let's just say that I am more than willing to help you get revenge." I said and Jenny laughed. "I don't think I'm going to get a boyfriend any time soon. I want to go through my high school life without as much drama as I can." Jenny said.

"Now that's the best plan I ever heard." I said. "Thanks again for letting me stay with you." Jenny said. "You're welcome." I said and we watched the rest of the fireworks.

Author's Note:

Abby and Jordan kissed! And Emma might just be falling for Michel. ;) This was a longer chapter than usual because I couldn't end it early or stop in the middle of the conversation, so I hope you enjoyed it.
