Ch. Fourteen: Land of the Dragons

Author's Note(just a quick one):
I told you this chapter would be interesting.

Abby's Pov:

Everywhere around me I saw flashing colors and there seemed to be nothing else, but somehow I was standing in the middle of it all. Then a few seconds later the flashing colors disappeared and we landed on a hill. I looked around and saw a large town at the bottom of the hill. "Wow. This place is..... different." Lola said. "Yes, I suppose it is. Down there is the village. There we can ask a friend of mine to help us get to the pa- place where Michel live." Xander said quickly covering up something. "Okay dimension boy. What is this place? And what where you about to say?" Julia said. "Well I um..." Xander started. "Come on Julia. Just leave it. We're here, aren't we? And he is helping us find the last Fate member so don't bug him. Xander, led the way." Jordan said. "Um, sure." Xander said while leading us down a path. "Wait a second." Emma said. "You said village. Don't you mean town." Emma asked. "No this is a village." Xander said.

We walked into the village in silence when something caught my eye. "Is that a dragon statue?" I asked and Xander looked over. "Yes it is. Come on, my friend's this way." Xander said a bit too quickly. "Okay that's it. Spill. What is this place and what where you going to say?" Julia questioned. "Okay fine. Did someone ever tell you about the different dimensions before?" Xander asked us. "Yeah they said that they have different places and things why?" Ryan said. "Well do you remember anyone saying that the people/ animals/ creators are different sometimes too?" Xander asked. "Yeah why?" Samantha asked. "Well welcome to the Land of the Dragons." Xander said. "Wait what?" Emma said. "Are you serious right now?" Austin asked. "Wait a second? Didn't you say that this was your home dimension? That means you're-" Julia started and Xander nodded. "Yes I am a dragon." "Well that's... AWESOME!!" I said and they all looked at me confused.

"Come on. How cool is it to be friends with a dragon. That reminds me, we should race sometime Xander." I said and Xander laughed. "Come on then. Now that you know my secret can we please get going." Xander said. "Well where are we heading?" Julia questioned. "You'll see. I promise that we will all be fine. Believe it or not dragons can be friendly." Xander said. "I have a bad feeling about this." Julia said. "Well.... 'Don't worry............ Be happy'" I started to sing. "Okay okay fine let's go." Julia said. "I knew that would work. Come on Xander and led us off." I said and we headed to where Xander's friend who could help us was.

We walked into a blacksmith's and saw a boy around our age making something from metal. "Davian, what's up?" Xander asked the boy. Davian looked up. "Xander? How've you been? I thought you weren't coming back for another month?" He said. "Well I needed to help my friends with something." Xander explained as he pointed to us. "Okay so what do you need?" Davian asked. "We need to go see Michel." Xander answered. "Oh well that's easy. Come on this way." Davian said as he led us to a conner of the place. He pushed several places in the wall very fast and a door appeared. "If you go through this door it will take you to his... house." Davian said. "Thanks Davian. Come on guys." Xander said.

We all walked in the door, not at the same time of course, and found that we were in a huge room. "Is this his house?" Paige asked. "More like a mansion! What is this place?" Julia asked but before Xander could answer, someone else did. "Why it's a palace of course. It has to my family for generations." A voice said. We all looked to where it came from and saw a boy with purple hair and purple eyes dressed in a fitted black jump suit and a dark purple cape. "Michel, it's nice to see you again." Xander said. 'So this is Michel.' I thought. "It's nice to see you again. So who have you bring to this dimension?" Michel asked motioning to us. Before Xander got a chance to introduce us, Julia had to speak up. "So this the Fate member huh. Well there seems to be one problem. Turns out he's a royal." Julia said. "What's that have to do with anything?" Emma asked.

"He can't leave this dimension he's ruling and rule another one." Austin said. "Fate member? Ruling another dimension? What are you talking about? I don't rule this dimension, my parents do. And my older brother is going to be king when he's older." Michel said. "Well that makes things a bit easier." Lola said. "You see Michel, we come from a different dimension ruled by a council of people called Fate members. Most people in our dimension have one of nine powers. People who don't have powers are called duds. Every twenty years a new council of Fate members are chosen. The Fate members have all of the powers but excel greatly at one, and that is what type of Fate member they are. Everyone here except Emma and Xander are Fate members. The reason why we're here is because you're one of them. We need you to come to our dimension to train and help rule. I know that it's a little bit more than twenty years of your life but you can visit back here and if you refuse...then I don't know what will happen really." Samantha explained.

"So basically I have to make a decision that can change the fate of another dimension?" Michel said. "Yep that basically sums it up." Jordan said. Michel was standing there thinking before he spoke again. "I'll do it." He said. "Ah thanks goodness." Emma said. "On one condition." Michel said. "Oh great now what?" Julia said. "I want to talk to that blonde girl." Michel said pointing to Emma. "In private." He said. "Yeah... Not gonna happen. I don't have a good feeling about this." Julia said. "I don't either. After all we just met him." I said. "I'll go." Emma said. "You sure?" I asked. "I'm sure. Besides it's Xander's friend, what could happen?" Emma said before she followed Michel off.

"I'll say it again, I don't have a good feeling about this." Julia said. "Come on, what's gonna happen?" Lola asked. "Well first off he can kill her." Julia started. "Okay that's it." Xander said. "Just because people here are dragons doesn't make them killing machines. I don't look menacing to you, right. I bet that thought never came into your mind until I told you I was a dragon. Next-" Xander started to say until I stopped him. "Wait? I never even thought about that. You're a dragon. Then how can you have powers?" I asked. "I'm a elemental dragon. But as I was saying Michel may look intimidating but he's not a bad person. He just knows how to look like a leader." Xander said. "Well I believe you. And if anything bad happens, then we can fix it right?" Jordan said. "I still don't trust him." Julia said. "Well you're gonna have to because he'll be helping us rule our dimension." Samantha said. "It's gonna be a long twenty years." Julia said.

Author's Note:
I was actually thinking of putting the last Fate member in a normal world dimension. In fact, I think I just got the story basis for the next book... Well there is some insider info. But next chapter will start off on what happens when Emma and Michel go off. So stay tune till then.
