This is it. I'm moving to Florida to get away from this life. It's been forever since I talked to my friends and family after high school. I moved to Tennessee for college and I wanted to move to Florida for many reasons. I had a job there, I need a relaxing day to get my life fresh again.
I rented an apartment and moved the boxes into there and went to move the couch and bed frame out of the truck, but with my 90 pound self and no muscles, I struggled.... ALOT. About half way towards the stairs with the couch, I heard a males voice. It was calm, deep and no emotions. I turned towards him as he stood there. He was slightly taller than me. His hair was brown and his eyes are a bright green. He didn't have much of facial features, but I could remember the rest. He was wearing pajama pants that stopped at his ankles and no shirt.
I stared in his eyes getting lost in them and knowing who he was. "Um.. Hello?" He spoke, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Sorry for staring, you just took me by surprise." I chuckled slightly. "It's alright, do.. Do you need help moving in?" He was uneased as his voice was slowly fading. "Yeah, my room is 235." "That's right next to mine," He sounded happy.
"So, what's your name?" He looked at me as he picked up one side of the couch. "It's Alice. Yours?" "Ryan." I nodded as we made it up the stairs and I started opening the door. "Since you helped me move in, do you want to stay for dinner?" I looked at him with a gleaming smile. "I'd love to, but I'm kind of busy with my work scheduale." I nodded as my smile faded.
Ryan soon went to his apartment to take a shower as I started unpacking the boxes. "Clothes.. Awards.." I slowly put them away as I tripped over another box. "Oops.." I groaned and looked at the box. "I didn't see this one." I opened it to see photos of Lee and I, a teddy bear and a note.
"Alice, I may not be the best at what I've done. I'm truely a lucky guy to be with you, and I couldn't wait for this so I laid it on your night stand.. I was also chicken to ask you this because it was too early, but still. I'm keeping the promise to Wales.. To take you there. Alice.. Will you.." I stopped reading from tears and kept looking in the box to find a smaller, velvet box. In it was a ring.. Diamond.
I sighed and sat the note and box on my dresser and kept unpacking for the night. When i laid in bed, i heard talking from next door. Ryan's voice. Should I? I got up and placed my ear next to the wall.
"C'MON!!" He yelled. It was soon quiet, as his voice was soon talking again, but soother. I laid there and listened as I was staring at the ceiling, finally sleeping calmly and happily.
