(A/N: Um, Wattpad decided to be stupid and delete the chapter I had written... And I forgot to save it as a draft so it didn't even back it up on my iPad... Hmmmm... Oh well.)

I slowly open my eyes, unaware of what time it was. I look out the window and see it was till dark outside. I shift my position from laying on my stomach to sitting up. Peeking through the curtains I see that everyone is asleep.

I silently hop down, making an almost inaudible thud as I hit the ground. I look around once again to make sure I didn't wake anyone up. Smiling, I make my way to the kitchen.

As I was about to open the door, the bus swerved to the left, making me lose my balance and fall against the bottom of Jack's bunk. I wince as I hit my side and shoulder against it, making a loud noise as I hit the floor and bunk.

"Aaaaahhh, shit." I whisper yell.

"That's gotta hurt." I hear Jack whisper back.

I poke my head up to see Jack laying on his side looking back at me. "All the broken ribs." I whisper to him, cracking a joke.

"That's my line." He softly argued.

I shook my head, "Yours is 'All the broken ankles.'"

He shrugged then turned his head to look out the window. He looked kinda cute buried in a large thick blanket.

"What time is it?" He asked turning back to me.

I shrugged. "I was about to check when the bus swerved. James said it was supposed to be a smooth right, and not much turning."

He got up out of his bunk and stood up, offering to help me up with an outstretched hand. I took it as he pulled me up. "Dude, you're light."

I ignored him as I went to check why James was making such jerky turns. It only took a second for my eyes to adjust to the dark, but I knew Jack's were slowly getting there.

I thought about what my mom said when she found my pictures a while ago. She said that she didn't like how dark they were, and how easily my soul could slip into the darkness and stay there. How it took a really strong person to pull them self out.

It was a picture of my dad, he was in Afghanistan fighting. It was a dream I had and I drew the dreams that made me scared. I always thought if I drew them then got rid of them then they wouldn't happen.

It worked until I drew a picture of my mom in Switzerland, getting attacked. I was so scared of this one I threw it out as quickly as I had drawn it. The dream was so graffic, so real.

I snap myself out of my thoughts and went up to see who was driving. I look at the drivers seat and saw that the frame of the person was larger than James'.

I walk forward and saw someone was sitting on the wrap-around couch. They turned their head, spotting us instantly. "Um, Jasper..?" He said.

"What is it?" The driver asked, not looking back.

"They're awake."

The man driving looked back quickly, then turned back. "There's only two. Take 'em out."

They both had some sort of European accent, and looked like they haven't shaved in weeks. And they smelled bad. The second man stood up, his size increasing to almost twice my size. And probably twice as strong. That is, if he isn't human. He grabbed a staff of some sort, and pressed a button hidden on it.

"What's he doing Echo? I can't see shit." Jack whispered, his voice sounding a little scared.

"Don't worry about it. Don't wake the others, but go hide yourself." I said, keeping my eyes on the man.

As soon as the man pressed the button, a metal spearhead sprung out of one end and some sort of tazerhead out the other.

"What? Why do I have to be the one that hides?" He protested.

I didn't respond, just pushed him through the door. I prepared myself, standing in a defensive stance. I waited for him to take a few swings, so I could learn his moves, but I guess he had the same idea. He finally made the first move, sticking the spearhead at me.

I jumped back, narrowly avoiding the spearhead. "Careful where you stick that thing! Someone could seriously get hurt!" I guess that pissed him off, so he started dashing forward, jutting the tazer at me.

"Not one for conversations are we?" I said again, as I jumped back hitting the closed door making a loud thud.

He swung, I dodged... This repeated for about a minute until I got sick of dodging. "Y'know, your swing and stance is very sloppy... Might want to clean it up a bit." I said.

He swung again, aiming to hit my ankles and knock me down. I jumped up onto the table behind me. "Let me help you!" I knelt down, and swung my leg across hitting him in the jaw.

He staggered backwards, dropping his staff. I hopped down and picked it up, breaking it over my knee. I took the half with the spearhead and tossed it into the sleeping quarters where Jack was hiding. "Use it if things go down south."

I saw him under a bunk nodding. I closed the door and turned to face the man... Who stuck the tazerhead Ito my side. I screamed in pain as he held it there until I collapsed onto the ground.

He stood over me as my vision blurred then refocused. My body would shake every once in a while, as electricity lingered in my body as well as mostly my side. I sniffled as I waited him to do a dialogue of some sort.

"I really thought you would have more fight in you." The man said,"But of course you're only half human. But seriously. Is that all? You didn't even try to hit me."

"Some... Of us... Made a... A pact..." I groaned in pain.

"Ahh, right. The Zodiac Pack, a famous pack that's been here for centuries. You are the newest member... Right? How long have you been alive?"

"I have... yet to... officially... join. I have ... To... to wait ... until I'm ... 25..."

"Oh right. The legendary pack initiation. Only those with true blood can join."

I didn't say anything, just looked at the ground, disappointed on how I had failed Jack, as well at the others.

"Now look who isn't one for conversation! What a turn of the tables." He said, then turned away to speak to his friend. "What now?"

"Tie her up Fritz. Acually, tie 'em all up." The man called 'Jasper' said, keeping his eyes on the road.

Fritz nodded then grabbed a large plastic tool bin. I watched as he pulled out some sort of syringe and chains. He walked up to me, pulling the cap off of the needle and made sure there were no bubbles. Using the last of my remaining strength, I scooted myself farther against the door. I banged my hands against the door. As the man was about to stick the needle in my leg, I was pulled into the room by my arms. I looked up as Mark pulled me up to one of the spare bunks at the bottom as Jack closed and locked the door behind me. I smiled gratefully at them.

"Thanks guys." I said, my voice sounding hoarse.

"Who are they?" Mark asked.

I shrugged looking at the floor, staring into space. "Fans maybe...?"

There was a short laugh, like they far not laugh any longer. After that it was just silence, our bodies rocking and swaying as the bus turned left and right. Finally, Mark looks up sighing then taps my shoulder.

I look at him, "Yeah?"

Not taking his eyes off the ceiling I look up too. Right in the middle is a fire escape hatch. I smiled and hugged Mark "You're a genius!!"

Jack looked up too and grinned. I dashed around quietly waking up Bob Wade and Ken. I told them they had to quickly pack up their things. Or some of their important things. Once everything was packed up we waited for the bus to come to a stop. A couple minutes later it stopped, so we sprung our plan into action.
